CD Drive(s) Unacceseable...(sp?)

ugh, my cd-writer isnt being reconized by windowz, and i dont know why, they just dissaperred after i tried to record some songs off of my Punk O Rama Vol 8 cd,and when i go to the device manager to see why they had dissaperd it tells me they are disabled, and when i try to re-enable them, windowz says it cant be enable, i then restarted my pc, and my dvd-rom showed up but not my cd-writer, i dont know what the feck happend, so if anyone could help me....

Did you do anything besides try to record songs on it? Make any changes at all?

Didn't you have a simmilar problem before?

I smell a drive controller/drive/cable issue.

Or something anyway, could just be the 5 million litres of Vanilla Coke I just drank.

i didnt change anything, i had already rip some songs off another cd a few minuts before (both times using WMP) and it was fine, but then they just dissapered.

Disable both drives, restart, and let Windows find the drives again.
