Those nice motion blurs of the Ferarris really caught my eye :dopey:

Btw, how do you make backgrounds like skies and trees look so real? I have no problem making cars look good thanks to the excellent rendering done by PD, but trees look like crap still :crazy:

Yep - that one's my favorite. Color scheme is great. The blur behind the car is cool. The smooth transition from white to dark blue in the heavens is well done. I know - it's hard to fix the sky/banding from the original pic. Everything is perfect! I am curious to see the original...

Those 2 abstract looking blurry images are brilliant, I've struggled to get that look from the game myself so I'd love to know how you got them so perfectly lit and balanced. Mine just end up with OTT blur and a severe lack of detail.

Well generally, all I usually do is lower the aperture setting to 1.0, 1.4 or 2.0 which will put the trees out of focus. Sometimes, I go through and apply a lens blur (and then fade it) on the trees but this is very time-intensive and not THAT much better. An example of the second technique: Bam. It really helped give the trees a fuller, more natural look. I usually leave the sky as it is, unless there is noticeable banding, in which case I'll use the blur brush on the lines (or select the whole sky and blur it.)

Thanks! The Red Bull shot was around 60mm with aperture set to 1.0 using pan mode 1. The focus was on the tunnel exit and the car was traveling at ~250mph. You can get away with a lot of sharpening for these shots.

The blur is all GT5, the HDR processing brought out the lines in the road more though. Audi it is

Thanks man! The image is actually a composite of 14 (!!!!!) different pics, I experimented a lot with different filters and color toning before merging them. Here's the "baseline" shot though: Bam.
