Having a full carbon fiber body would be...awesome.

It looks like a body only, without a frame... got any other pics of it? It's pretty strange. That's probably 200+lbs less than a steel body, though.

Would that thing be really really fragile? Could it support the weight of an engine and people inside it?

It's the chassis that supports the weight. The body just sits on top. The main function of the body is to keep you & the engine dry when it rains and to make the car look good.

That AND be safe in a crash... :D

Oddly, you can push your finger straight through the panels on a Subaru Impreza... Staggeringly flimsy stuff.

That car must have alot of drag (the only drawback to carbon Fiber I think). If it was that new "Smooth Carbon Fiber" that would be better :D. I think it looks awesome none the less. BTW, the body can add structural integrity to the car as well as making it more aerodynamic and stylish (sometimes ugly......Gremlins, YUK )...

hahaha, I read about a 74 Chevelle that was "converted" to SS... they got 68 lbs trimmed out of ONE of its bumpers. ONE.
and they ask why those cars weigh almost 3 tons....
