Challenge C-3 - tips please

I just got back to the game after GoW3 and I have only 3 left to gold on the first page but the one causing me most grief is C-3 (others are overtaking ones). I get silver, sometimes, but gold seems a long way off. Does anyone have any tips for this in case I am missing something ?

Current strategy; first corner, brake later that the driving line, tap and then floor down the straight. Now I either screw up the second bend, or pick too early an apex on that tight last bend that seems to go on forever, but I am taking that second bend differently every time (not on purpose, LOL) and I am sure that is where I am losing it.

This challenge was not hard on the PS2, LOL.

Is this yours ? If so; AT or MT (it looks like MT) , did you use the handbrake, did you change the setup ?

I use MT, no handbrake. In challenge you can't change your setup if I remember.

Thanks for the inputs. I continue to try. You can change Active steering & TCS under setup though I have not changed anything in any challenge so far.

At last I golded this yesterday. A case of 'slower is quicker' through the tight bits finally got me home. I just do not know why this took so long... well I suppose I do, there is always the odd license test that refuses to be beaten. 90 golds, 12 to go.
