Now that school's over and done with, I've found I had a lot of free time on my hands (that is, when I'm not doing 12-hour shifts), and so i decided to start GT2 again. So far I've progressed fairly easily (winning 159 of 160 races ... guy pipped me at the line at Laguna :() and have decided to fill my Garage with JGTC cars (and a few extras). I've bought every single GT350 and GT500 car available from the car yards, and I've won most of them in the GT Championships on page 4 of Special Events. But I'm still trying to make the list complete. Here's a list of every single prize car I've won from each championship:

GT350
- Weds Sport Celica
- #25 Momo Corse MR2
- #15 Xanavi Silvia

GT500
- #2 Arta Zexel Skyline
- #32 CDMA One Supra
- #55 Taisan Viper

By my reckoning, I still ahve to win the #86 BP Apex Trueno in GT350 and the #18 Takata NSX in GT500. SO my question is, how do I get them? Is there some system the game uses to work out which car you get or is it completely random? I've tried eveything short of deliberately losing to make the final pointscore closer because when I won by more than 20 points I didn't get anything different. Also, are there any JGTC cars I've missed in this list or cars available to win from the two championships?

I am not exactly sure but I thought it was random. I hate random luck though. I once got the same car 7 times in a row.. There were 4 cars I believe I could have one. Kept getting the same 1.

Best of luck though. I think you just have to keep racing.

In all three GT games it has seemed to me that repeatedly beating on one series is less likely to turn up all the prize cars than if you continue racing various different series, buying different cars, and entering several different series in parallel.

As if the game senses you want something and deliberately with-holds it from you. :D

One person I know who could never win the Stratos in the Apricot 200 (always won the Viper GTS-R) eventually revealed to me that he would try these Apricot 200 races from the exact same game save. He'd load up the save, buy a new car if necessary, prepare the car in question, try it, and then, when he won another Viper (which he something like ten or more times in a row) he would just not save the game.

Now, it seems to me games do get "stuck" on certain prize cars sometimes, and a little manipulation of your garage characteristics seems to help "unstick" it. And, as I say, racing various different seriesor events (other than the "goal" one) seems to help too.

To counter that, however, I did seem to get a reasonably nice variety of prize cars from the GT1 "Hard-Tuned Series" (aka, by me, the "Abnormal Series") recently when I entered every single model of used car. I should try and gather the stats on those prizes some time.

Okay, wandering a teensy bit off-topic, in that particular set of races of that series I apparently won...

15 blue Truenoes
13 pink Truenoes
10 white Truenoes
10 red Skylines
10 blue Skylines
8 yellow Skylines

and a partridge in a pear tree!!!!

Darn, I was hoping there was some way of getting them by meeting certain criteria, because I really want these two cars as then I'll have the full set of JGTC racers. I've even taken to 'assisting' other cars to score highly by giving the other cars a friendly nudge into the scenery (that's how I scored 40 points with 2nd place scoring just 17) in the hopes that an extraordinary winning margin would give me the cars ...

My locic might be 100% ... wrong but I have the feeling that if a specific model is participating in the serie ( let's say the BP Trueno ) it won't be the prizecar.

the prize car is determind on what day you start the race it is a different car each day for 10 days then it goes back. that is what i have noticed i raced the same series 20 times in a row and it was same car on day example day 601 same on 611, 602 same and 612 and so on.
