This is easy. Give the % that you think each feature will be in GT5 and why.

Damage/engine failures 33%

I think 33% chance it appears some time after the game's initial relase in a patch. It won't make the initial launch of GT5 due to time and PD being more concerned with other things. 80% chance that the damage will be very generic. In fact, damage may not even be visibile but may resemble GT2's damage.

Weather for every track 25%

There is a chance weather will appear for every track but the chances are small because PD doesnt see this as an important feature.

Day/Night changes 80%

I think PD will find the time to include this in the initial release of the game. If not then it will definitly make it later on in a patch.

Cockpit view 90%

There have been screenshots of a cockpit view already released, and in GTHD all the cockpits are visible in incredible detail from the outside. It would be an incredible waste for PD not to include a cockpit view.

Paint Shop/Decals 65%

KY has had a presentation witch showed this as any option so it's a good possibility

More than 12 cars on track at once 20%

With the amount of insane detail PD is putting into the cars and track, I can't see more then 12 cars on course at once

More than 6 cars online at once 10%

Once again I can't see a large amount of cars on track at once. Half of the single player car amount of 12 makes sense.

Porsche Gets In 25%

Not initially but maybe in a patch later down the road

GT5 is released with less than 200 cars 75%

Due to the amount of time it takes to model the cars and tracks I can easily see this happening. Didn't GT3 launch with around 200 or less cars? The vast majority of cars will be made available for download later.

Now its your turn. Use the same topics, give the percentage and reason

We've already seen that PD is working with 8 cars, but the on-line and off-line count should be the same, not different. Forza gets 8, too. I'm still trying to figure out why console games have lower on-line numbers than some PC games.

Yes, I can see the car count being much lower than GT4's. Once all of the cars are laser scanned, though, future versions will be easier to include more cars form the start. So long as GT4's chaff is eliminated, many players will be happier, too.

I'll use the bullets you mentioned. I'll explain my points professionally. Here goes...

* Damage and Engine Failures - I got this at 60% percent. People are going to have wild fantasies about tearing up cars in GT5 like it's NASCAR on a "short" track on Saturday night. I say PD gets in damage. My key concern is going to regard how hardcore damage is. If the damage is only towards tires and visuals and not mechanical damage, GT fans are going to soil PD in so much crap you think they'd smell like an unflushed toilet. I don't know too much on engine failures. Whether or not how all of this is implemented depends on PD's capabilities in modeling crash damage, then regarding what kind of bond PD has with automakers. Do the automakers think GT is essential to marketing cars to people who may not get to drive/race one in real life (if so, damage isn't likely. If not, damage likely)? Will the fans market automotive savagery in celebrating full-on damage to cars (like the Tourist Trophy gallery featuring guys getting knocked off of motorcycles)? It all depends on what PD wants to do and how much of damage automakers and race constructors will allow.

* Weather for every track - Damage is debatable. Weather is very less debatable. I'm going to say there is a 75% chance of weather for every track. Read the next sentence carefully. The negative aspect of weather for every track is that not every track is going to be very raceable in wet conditions. The key reason is because of oval events. Running a car at high speeds on a banked oval can be pretty dangerous. Unless, you obviously WANT to tear up your car. I don't think drag racing slicks like a wet race track (granted we get drag racing in GT5 for competition and not just for testing purposes). I think there will still be exceptions. The general weather assumption relates to rain and snow. Weather can also relate to hot and cold, calm winds and gusty winds, and various other weather situations. Intensity of the conditions is also a factor. Rain can range from some drizzle all the way to monsoon-like conditions. I don't think PD needs to be hardcore (stupid) and try racing on a track getting pelted by hurricane winds and people running and hiding. Temperature is very workable as is wind. Imagine a race on a windy day or night. Rain and snow with the wind can make for some great complications. A lot of the variables can be worked through for GT5 with the PS3's power capabilties. I wouldn't know about dynamic weather, though. I do think we may see Rain tires for the first time for racing applications. Unless of course, you want to race on wet tracks with super softs.

* Day and Night Changes - I'm extremely hopeful by giving this a 90% chance of happening. Many people were annoyed about the "24 Hours of Daylight" regarding Le Mans and the Nürburgring Nordschleife 24-hour endurances. The PC game, rFactor, had a lovely display of time changing. It was usually past 6:30 PM in which you see lights flicker on as nightfall comes around. Headlights were a requirement in times where you hosted a night race. The only exception of lights were with cars that don't have lights. And I still envision doing certain races in different times of day. I envision Tokyo R246 at twilight or in the late evening, Grand Valley in a 24-hour race, the return of racing in the sunset at Deep Forest Raceway like in Gran Turismos 1 and 2, maybe even Costa di Amalfi at night or in sunset. I think PD has to try to come up with an environment package which will allow for time changes and obviously weather. They could be a bit realistic and mate time changes in regards to the game's calendar. Take Daytona and Le Mans. The 24 Hours of Daytona takes place in late January. The 24 Hours of Le Mans takes place in mid-June with the Summer Solstice looming. The difference in time with these two tracks and races? Nighttime is usually longer in January while daytime is usually longer in June. That's why it can be about 8PM or 9PM at Le Mans and still have considerate daylight. I don't think PD would do this, but it would be interesting if time cycles were realistic in proportion to the track's geography and to the time in the game. Sorry to sound like a Harvard Natural Science graduate for a moment.

Cockpit View - It would be very interesting to see every car with this. It's done in rFactor even with several mods getting great in-car views. It's done in countless F1 games (I believe). A lot of rally games from Codemasters can get it done. The GTR series is tried and true with in-car action. But can PD with a handful of cars to work with? My heart tells me that 85% this will happen. PD will need some extra effort if Racing Modifications return, and the cockpit is somehow replaced with a more race-friendly cockpit view. Imagine driving around in your Aston Martin DB9. Then imagine giving it a (granted Racing Modification returns in one way or another), Racing Modification with all the trick stuff- MoTeC data logger, Momo steering wheel, you can see your Sparco racing outfit and racing gloves. I hope PD can inject some life into racing the cars we love and must use to complete the game. No better way to show full immersion to racing than with wonderful in-car views. Getting driver physics behind the wheel with the car and the driver's hands would make things all too amazing. I'm hopeful of PD to do this and get it done right.

* Paint Shop/Decals - I say that it's 100% PD includes this. But for it to actually happen... I don't know... I'll say about 90% chance we get this sort of thing. Painting up cars and adding decals is very less extreme than car damage. I mentioned in the GT4 or GT5 forums about owning a car in the game. Making a car your car is one thing, but making a car YOUR car is another. I'm a bit inspired by the Forza Motorsport series about the Rarity aspect of cars. Think about it from a tuner car and hotrod perspective. I love a Chevrolet Bel-Air. But when the hotrod folks style up a Bel-Air to make it beautiful and perform like a champion, then you've made someone else's car into YOUR car. Meaning no one else can ever have a car as amazing as yours unless you sell it or put it on the line (racing for Pinks). Or look at it from the hotrod perspective. Anyone can add anything they want to some of the hot sport compacts of today. Very few can make unique automobiles. I'm not going to use "rice" in any of my talking about this. I've seen and heard of tuner cars that could show great style, pack serious horses (Top Secret Supra, anyone?), rule Time Attack and Autocross sessions, and more. Finally, here's my two key points that PD seriously consider putting in a program like this- online play and building a race team. Imagine painting up your cars identically to make them YOUR race cars. I'd surely love to take some of my pure performers and give them my team race colors (two shades of blue and pure gold). I envision attaching rear wings to my car (as well as other pure racing treatment options) and maybe putting on "Mobil 1" sponsorship to the rear wing. I think if they go through with this, they may want to look into customer race cars. Of course, PD could have all or most of the options to make this department shine if they've read some of my past threads in this forum.

* More than 12 Cars on the Track at Once - Again... my heart is telling me to go with a high number. But I think there may be a 65% chance of happening, and here's why. The current GTHD use of Eiger Nordwand doesn't show off any possibilities of pack racing. PD needs to have either a new or existing race track that allows for multiple cars competiting at once. And I'm not so much talking about the older Vision GT and older GTHD material, but more along the lines of possibly more cars at once. PD shown that 12 cars is very possible. Anything more than 12? I'd like for the chances to be 20 like with some of the races in ToCA Race Drivers 2 and 3. I'd love for it to be 24. There would be absolutely no chance of having a maximum of 70 cars on track like in the GTR series. At least SimBin shown that 70 cars is possible for ANY racing game. I think the highest PD could possibly go is either 40 or 50 cars to a track. They could milk this sort of thing by having a sort of time trial in rallying where there are many entrants, and you have to post the best time out of many entrants. ToCA Race Drivers 2 and 3 did this for the traditional rally events. But in terms of more than 12 cars at once, my chances are pretty low.

* More than 6 Cars Online at Once - I normally don't care much for online play. But for those who want the online racing love against dozens of others, I think there's a 45% chance of it happening. My dream for this would be something similar to certain multiplayer games. A huge number of entrants for a racing game can be pretty rare. Look at games like Quake 2's 32-player capabilities, Battlefield 2's told to have 32-player action, F.E.A.R. and "Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter" boast maximums of 16 players. I heard GTR could do about 56 max. But Gran Turismo 5? It all depends on how PD can code everything and not have the action go out of whack. Six is a safe number, eight is a little better, anything close to the max number of cars at once would be pure nirvana for GT gamers. I don't like the chances much. I may be wrong if PD surprises us all.

* Porsche Gets In - Okay. Gran Turismo 4 shown that they could get some of the big-name auto makers. The big surprise was Bentley. Despite endless b:censored:ing at me here on GTPlanet for not getting mad at PD for not getting supercars in, I said that PD had world-class names and bigtime companies all along. I also said that PD had several supercars in PD. Tourist Trophy (which I'm playing right now as of this post) shown that they could get Aprillia and Ducati (what I'm using right now). Pure "fanboyism" would suggest that I give PD a high chance of Porsche's inclusion. Whether or not this happens depends on how people will respond to having both Ruf AND Porsche in the same game. So therefore, I say that there is a 75% chance this happens. I don't want PD to ditch Ruf because that's about the best chance of racing these wonderful German automobiles in the likeness of Porsche. I'd want to see some of today's hottest Ruf models and perhaps the return of the CTR2 Sport that I loved in GT2. Porsche would greatly compliment Ferrari in the game. Does Modena, Italy make the hottest cars, or does Stuttgart, Germany? It would be the ultimate "fanboy" experience. Only Lamborghini's inclusion would finally shut up all the critics that bashed GT for years about not getting the exclusive cars.

* GT5 is Released with Less Than 200 Cars - I think there is a 15% chance of it happening. The game can have 201 cars. ^_^ A fair number is probably 400. I don't think GT4's numbers are possible with all the extraneous work in getting the cars modeled and ready for racing. I don't predict a repeating cycle of GT2 to GT3. I think this game will many more cars than GT3. What we don't know too much of is on how much work PD has actually put into pumping up this game with as many cars as possible with GT5. If PD explores their boundaries much more and make everything all come together in the end, this is then a non-factor. GT3 was rushed. GT5 probably isn't a rushed title. PD will probably take their time and include as much as they can. So my chances are low.

If I think of any other topics, I'll express them in this thread. But you have heard from me on my percentages. Enjoy.

I like the concept here... Not just what we want but predictions of the likelyhood... Very nice. 👍 (+rep to "Earth")

Weather- 40%.
I doubt weather will be extended beyond the GT4 level (which was plenty for me as I don't like racing in the rain).
Day/ Night changes- 75%.
I doubt PD would miss the chance to correct such a horrible error. 24hrs. races are nothing without day and night.
Paintshop- 60%.
I believe this is the one "forza-like" trait GT will pick up.
Decals-20%.
I doubt decals will be in GT5.
Reduced Car List- 100%.
There's just no way PD will re-produce the 700+ from GT4. 300+ is more like it and at 300+ I'd say 65%.
Damage- 50%.
Hard to say. There's a big press for car damage but at the same time I believe the people at PD have enough sense to know damage is worthless without good a.i. (cough forza1 cough)... I doubt PD will really fix the AI and so I believe they may avoid damage.
Better AI- 100%.
I have no doubt the AI will be better. How much better? No clue.
Offline Grid- More than 12. 90%.
I believe 12+ is a garuntee. :sly:
Online Grid- More than 6. 90%.
I believe PD will go with atleast 8 to ensure the wait for races isn't too long... More people on a grid at once means less waiting time for online racing. 👍

Damage/engine failures

Outside vehicle damage, 30%.
Internal (engine and other components) damage, 75%

Weather for every track

75% I think PD can easily get this done. On-the-fly weather effects, too.

Day/Night changes

90% Easier than weather effects, so I'm betting it's in.

Cockpit view

100% Why all of you don't have this at 100%, I'll never know. 'The Man' said it was in. We saw it in a video two years ago. We saw pictures of it over a half year ago. It's in.

Paint Shop/Decals

20% I know it's popular to some, but this might take up too much time. I don't see it making it in the game. But, 'The Man' did show it once, or at least the general 'idea' of it in GT5.

More than 12 cars on track at once

90%. We saw numerous videos with up to 26 cars in one race. We saw the recent video pic of the Rally Race track with 8 cars on it. But, some valid points, like GTHD being soooooo detailed, have been brought up that might make this one not possible, but only by a small margin.

More than 6 cars online at once

15%. Now, online is a completely different story. I don't see more than 6 cars online at once.

Porsche Gets In

10% I don't see it. We got Ferrari. If we got Porsche, too, 'The Man' would've shown us by now. But, I still hope for it to happen and he could also be giving us a surprise since he "spoiled" the Ferrari surprise.

GT5 is released with less than 200 cars

20% I think they've been working a long time at getting the cars in this game ready for an early release. I don't think it will be by much, but expect and hope for more than 200 cars.

This game being delayed

3,456,478,343,990,453,575,768,234,654% :P

I agree that a delay is inevitable. :ouch:
On the subject of Porsche...
I doubt we will see "Porsche." However, an expanded line of RUF product may be all that is necessary. 👍
I'd be quite happy with wider range of RUF products and if a racing mod became an option (a real racing mod and one that didn't look like crap- such as the BTR's taller than Fast and Furious wing)...

Just saying...
RUF can give me all the Porsche I need as long as PD uses everything they can! 👍

Damage/engine failures 10%
I Dont think PD gets the licences to make a cars engine fail, car manufacturers dont want their cars fail while other cars keep going.
Maybe some special models, showcars, but standart cars? No.
Weather for every track 20%
I guess its just too much work, as I said before I guess most big features will only be available for special models; in that case special tracks; like enduro tracks - The Nordschleife, La Sarthe etc.

Day/Night changes75%
Its called the real driving simulator, and night / day changes arent that hard to do. I am sure that we get changes at least for enduros, maybe only as adjustable feature for arcade racing and some special conditions races with night day changes. I think we'll get night and day versions of the less important / popular tracks, like the reverse options.

Cockpit view 50%
I am pretty shure PD only makes cockpit views for special and / or standart cars; I cannot imagine PD looking at each race car (chaparral, Group-C's) to make accurate interiors; its much easier to model a BMW or a Ferrari which are standing in the next japanese deluxe car dealership than flying to france to check out one single race car interiors- (peugeot 905)
I guess only half of all cars get cockpit view, so my vote of 50 %

Paint Shop/Decals 40%
I bet we'll get a ''slim'' version of car decals customizing:
Color changes: yes
Special colors: no
Tuning stickers: no

More than 12 cars on track at once 85%
Thats one of the morst important features for GT5, they cannot ignore it, PD knoiws that. They will included that, the PS3 is powerful enough for that and its not hard to include this feature.

More than 6 cars online at once XX%
I have no idea.

Porsche Gets In 5%
Maybe I have a brain fart, but Porsche and GT5? No - for shure.
If they would include it they wouldnt be so extremely proud of having Ferrari and Bughatti. Iam also sure that the Porsche licenses are either too expensive or already in use for another game.
If PD really includes Porsches I will cut my butt of because it wont happen.

GT5 is released with less than 200 cars 30%
Maybe well get 100-200 cars and free cars to download later? Sounds pretty plausible.

This game being delayed 101%
What can I say? Just look at GT2, GT3, GT4.......GT5......

RUF product may be all that is necessary.
Never ever heard something about the Porsche 956 winning several times at 24 hours of Le mans and 83 WSPC 1000KM Nordschleife or the Le mans winner 936 or the Le mans winner 935? :indiff: The porsche race cars were the most successful sports cars ever created and its a dirty shame that they are not included in GT4 and GT5.

Day/ Night:
100% with Enduros! :dunce: :indiff:  :odd: 💡

I doubt we will see anything for "every track" but I will say 100% that 12+ hour endurance races will show lighting changes. 👍 Either that, or Mid-Race Saves! Those are pretty much the only 100%'ers I've got (other than cars and tracks). :ouch:

Luckily, those two factors are innovations near the top of my "hopes for GT5." After that is Paint Shop. :irked: I don't even want stickers. :indiff:
Now, a real paintshop like what Forza2 has, that would be killer. 👍
Forza 2 Style Paint Shop: 100% Not to be included.
PD wouldn't satisfy the demands of GT players in one swing at bat, they will always find a way to drag out the ultimate GT (to be released in 25 years as "Racing" on a yet to be determined simulation system). :P

ORIGINAL:
  • 90% Damage
More than anything else, this is in my opinion the most important feature missing from the GT series, and with damage now being a regular feature among countless competing games, PD cannot afford to leave it out this time around.

  • 10% Mechanical Failures
Less important than car damage, and manufacturers are not going to be happy seeing their cars mechanically break down. It is one thing for car damage to happen as that would be entirely the fault of the drivers. Granted, it is also the fault of a driver who abuses a car by poor shifting, over-reving, and poor maintenance, but they’ll blame the car for any failures… and manufacturers aren’t going to like that.

  • 50% Weather for Every Track
Weather should not be difficult to implement, and random weather would be an interesting feature for endurance races, but I’m giving it only a 50% chance as I don’t suspect this is a feature that ranks high among most of their target market.

  • 50% Day/Night Changes
As this is very similar to weather, I gave it the same percentage. Personally, I really hope they do add this, as it would make the endurance races feel so much more realistic, and make them more challenging as well. 👍

  • 90% Cockpit View
I wont use it, but I know many would, and like damage, it’s a standard feature these days.

  • 50% Paint Shop
I suspect PD has always made avoided adding a paint shop option in order to add value to racing the same series over and over again in order to get prize cars with different colors. Personally, I don’t like that you have to re-race over and over again… hoping to get the color you want, and also for those that want to have multiple colors, it fills up your garage. With a paint shop option, you’ll only need one car for each model, and repaint it when ever you feel like a color change. The problem is that PD may feel that their customers enjoy the “hunt” for the different color models. Perhaps a good compromise would be that “special” paint jobs can only be earned, while the standard paint jobs can be changed at any time…. Likely at a cost of course, like buying rims & wings.

  • 10% Decals
I am not confident there is that much interest in this feature, and implementing it would likely be far more complicated than it might seem.

  • 50% More than 12 Cars on Track at Once
I certainly hope there will be ~20 car fields, but I also wouldn’t be shocked if it is limited to 12.

  • 90% More than 6 Cars Online at Once
Large online fields is also a standard these days in racing games, and for PD to limit it to 6 will cause them to lose a huge chunk of the market.

  • 10% Porsche Gets In
I’m sure PD and their customers would love nothing more than to have Porsche on board, but the same reasons why they have not been included in the past are the same reasons why they won’t likely be included in the near future.

  • 10% GT5 is Released with Less than 200 Cars
I certainly do not expect GT5 to have nearly as many cars as GT4 has, but I would be shocked if they released it with less than 200.

PREVIOUSLY ADDED:
  • 99% This Game Being Delayed
While nothing can be 100% or 0%, not only have there always been delays with GT, but considering the huge change from GT4 to GT5, delays are almost guaranteed to happen.

  • 75% Realistic AI
I didn’t say “Better”, as what one person might feel is better may not be what others think is better. The problem I and others I have discussed this with have in regards to GT’s AI is that it acts almost as if it can’t see the other cars, and when it does, it reacts too slowly. This would cause all sorts of problems with damage turned on, as the AI could easily smack into you at no fault of your own. Also, the AI in GT has been notoriously bad at passing other cars on the track, often times just smacking into the back of a car, and/or slowing down behind them instead of changing their line to make a passing run at them.

Fortunately, there are lots of examples out there of really good realistic AI, perhaps no more so than Formula One: Championship Edition… which Sony developed. So hopefully we will see something similar in GT5. [X-ing fingers… and toes]

NEW ADDITIONS:
  • 75% Real Race Penalties
Optional of course, but badly needed, and like many of the previous features, a standard among most realistic racing games these days. Like damage, this is a key feature to help keep “fastest times” honest, so as to prevent those that ride the rails and create short cuts on the track from ruining it for others.

  • 25% Controlled Pit Crew Actions
I never would have thought about this feature if it were not for F1:CE, but now that I have used it, I wish it were in all racing games were you had to make pit stops. Not only does it make pit stops challenging, and rewards those that can do it well, but makes the races that much more realistic! 👍👍

  • 25% Minor Adjustments in the Pits
This has always been something I have disliked about GT, and that is not only unrealistic not to be able to make adjustments, but that it has a major impact on the race itself. That said, I don’t have much faith they will add it, but who knows.

  • 90% More Detailed Stats
GT has largely been a stat driven game, but they really dropped the ball for GT4. Missing are many key stats, as well as stats for individual cars and races. Instead they just lump everything together, and the way they do the diary and the way you have to navigate it is utterly pathetic! These are changes that should be very easy to make, and would drastically improve the game, and add gameplay value for those interested in improving individual car stats… not just their total stats. 👍👍

  • 75% Replays With More Detailed and Accurate Specs
The replay stats are not only VERY limited in GT4 (HP & Tires), but the HP listed isn’t even accurate! 👎 For accuracy when using replays for racing leagues like WRS, replays really need accurate and detail info on the specs of the cars used in the race. This should be VERY easy to implement, but then again, it should have been easy for them to do it in GT4 and do it accurately… and they did not.

  • 75% Additional Tracks
GT4 already has plenty of tracks, but more is always better, so I suspect we will see some new ones added.

  • 10% Selling/Swaping Mods
Unlikely to happen, but it would be nice to be able to remove and sell mods. In addition, for those mods that would work on different cars, be able to remove and install them from one car to another. It isn’t a big deal to me, but would be more realistic than what we have now which is nothing. You can spend $100,000 in mods for a car, and it adds no value to the car when you sell it, and you cant move the mods, even to the ECACT same model car. 👎

  • 10% Team Endurance Racing
What this option might offer is for the game to keep track of individual performance of each driver working as teammates to complete endurance races. I’ve done this already with GT4, but it would be nice to have the game keep track of our performance individually as well.

Umm.... We just saw pics for Cockpit views, why is everyone so damn skeptical about something we already saw????

Umm.... We just saw pics for Cockpit views, why is everyone so damn skeptical about something we already saw????

I am pretty shure we'll get only cockpit views for the every day cars, that means no interiors for racecars. I cannot imagine that PD would fly around the world just to check out the interiors of three race cars.

I cannot imagine that PD would fly around the world just to check out the interiors of three race cars.

PD has already taken hundreds of pictures of the cars in the Gran Turismo series. I'm sure they have taken pictures of the cockpit also.

So PD should already have pictures of the interior of most of the cars

Mike, they already fly around the world to record performance, handling, sound, and dimensions, of all their cars not available in Japan. I'm sure they have time ( Like Earth said) to take pics of the interior.

More than 6 Cars Online at Once

Why not? Motorstorm works with 12 cars at a time and it doesn´t even look that bad ;)

100% :dopey:

Since it's now 100% for: Weather, Damage, 12-20 car grid (on & offline?) & Cockpit view.

All I need is Day/Night changes!!! I give 50% chance on this.

Mini pit game (like F1:CE) - 30%

I never thought of that crazyace08 That sounds kind of crazy ....and awesome
I wonder if it would be possible to combine a-spec and B-spec so you could race and order your teammate around during a race. That would introduce a whole new aspect

Damage/engine failures

20% - PD pushes graphics to such a level that realistic damage would be almost impossible

Weather for every track

25% - do you mean dynamic weather or just wet versions for every track. My reply is about dynamic weather.

Day/Night changes

75% - It's plain stupid to have 24 hour races without this feature. So, I think it will appear in GT5

Cockpit view

100% - I don't care and I on't like to use cockpit vue, but most gamers do, so I think PD will include this one ...

Paint Shop/Decals

50% - Maybe, maybe not, I don't know ...

More than 12 cars on track at once

100% - GT Vision had far more (IIRC about 20

More than 6 cars online at once

50% - - Test Drive: Unlimited does it, whay can't PD?

Porsche
5% - The inclusion of Ferrari should be enough for GT5. Maybe GT6

GT5 is released with less than 200 cars

0% - No way. That's not PD style. The bigger numbers the better.

70%--Damage/engine failures
The reason i say 70% is because no race car is perfect. we might see them for the race cars but not for road cars.
80%--Weather for every track
This is a must to add a sense of realism, even if it changes from sunlight to overcast will be great. if they do add weather changes while racing, it will add a whole new level to racing as you have to change your strategy to cope with the rain that just came in.
100%--Day/Night changes
This is a must for the endurance races. not so much for other tracks but it will test you to see how well you can race in the dark. are you afraid of the dark??lol
100%--Cockpit view
not so much to say, wouldn't mind it and we aready seen screen shots so why not.
50%--Paint Shop/Decals
alot of people seem that they want to customize their cars, hell i wouldn't mind giving my audi r8 a new color and new decals.
80%--More than 12 cars on track at once
the ps3 hardware is amazing so why not. it add more dificulty especially when starting from last place.
50%--Porsche
with ferrari premiering, i think they will try to add porsche if porsche agrees to give them the licence to.
8%--GT5 is released with less than 200 cars
i dont think Pd wants to piss off people onless they offer cars for free download. i cant see this coming out with less than 300 cars.
50%--Being delayed
we always have that chance
10%--Team racing
i doubt it if they will combine a-spec and b-spec to form 1-spec.
80%--Real Racing penalties
it will help promote better driving and will stop people from taking shortcuts through the grass and such.
100%--Better pit action
if you guys ever noticed how there were only 5 members doing something. and if you ever passed by and noticed how for other cars the guys are just standing there. i think this is something they should improve on majorely

Damage - 50%. Everyone wants it and didn't Kazunori say something about it?

Online - 80&. Likely, but not certain. You never know with PD.

Runaround Track - depends if PD looks at GTP.

More cars - 100%. It's just logical.

Engine failure/damage-70%
It only makes sense if they want to bring in gamers,or keep fans to the franchise, then at least put this on the race cars.
weather-80%
This adds another dimension to the game, and I would LOVE to take on the 'ring or Tokyo Route 246 in the rain!

day/night settings-99.5%
If your going to have a 24 hour race, then this is a no brainer

cockpit view-99.9%
It has been said that it would be in GT5,so YIPPEE!!!!!!!:D
Paint/shop decals-50%
This would be a good option that will match FM2.

racing mods-40%
I HOPE this is on here. This is a feature I loved on GT2,and I wished they bring it back:nervous: .

more than 12 cars on the track-99.9%
They showed it on the trailer in E3 last year, and that would be a dissapointment if it isn't.

Porsche-60%
If you have Ferrari, then why not Porsche? We ALL would love to race LeMans in a 917 or 956 Rothmans!

racing penalties-75%
This will make it more of a simulation if you add this.

better pit action-95%
PS3 has the capabilities of doing what was seen on the trailer,so it is a most likely.

Being delayed-Piceless!This is a no brainer...of course! It will hopefully make a better game

-> Here's my take on this one:

Damage/engine failures: 55%

-> It will be highly unlikely on road-going production, classic, and concept cars having exterior damages but mechanically just like in GT2 would be a highly possibility. Race-spec cars are the only ones will be applicable (hopefully on the career mode) to full damage, as what KAZ said.

Refined/Upgraded Physics engine: 70%

-> KAZ and the team are still working on it, KAZ said that if there is any (famous/best/very well known) race driver (like Tsuchiya, Schumacher, Makinnen, Andretti, etc.) who could give opinions about GT's physics can stop by and give it a try. One French driver who won the Super GT series (driving a [R]Calsonic Fairlady Z), said that the braking limit needs work and KAZ ensured that he wrote it down. Hopefully, Sebastian Loeb could drop by.

Weather for every track: 85%

-> Given by the power of the PS3, it will be highly possible. Maybe real-time weather just like in MS Flight Simulator X from real tracks.

Day/Night changes: 90%

-> KAZ said that this will be crucial especially on those endurance races, so it will be a high possibility.

Cockpit view: 98%

-> As of now according to the French magazine M6, KAZ and the PD team are developing the interior design of the legendary 300SL coupe.

Paint Shop/Decals: 73%

-> GTHD is a stepping stone to this mod (as evident on the free downloadable game), but KAZ said licensing is the only hurdle here.

More than 6 cars online at once: 60%

-> KAZ promises 12-20 cars ONLINE!! I think thats crazy in console standards. I really doesn't matter, 12 should be more than enough.

More than 12 cars on track at once: 70%

-> If KAZ said it will be at least 12 online, hopefully at least 25 offline, but we may never know what PD has up on its sleave.

Porsche Gets In: 85%

-> As what it said before, its all about the mullah. but I think Porsche (along with Lamborghini, Maserati, and other juicy special makes) won't go down that easily since Ferrari is in.

GT5 is released with less than 200 cars: 1%

-> According to KAZ most of the car from GT4 will be transffered to GT5 for rendering, so lets say a minimum of 600 cars. 200 cars you say, maybe to catch up on all of the newest releases (like the new [V36] G35/Skyline 350GT Sedan, Evo IX, Infiniti G37 Coupe, Ferrari 599 Fiorano, [DC5 ver. 2] Integra Type-R, etc.). That'll sum things up a bit. =10,000 cars!=

All the cars from past GT's (from 1-3) return: 25%

-> KAZ said that all of the cars from past GT's are in their servers, could this mean a ray of light for the return of Venturi and Vector? =10,000cars!=

Race Tracks form GT1-3 return: 15%

-> Same as above, but it would be a possibility. Imagine, Old school High Speed Ring, SSR11 GT1 and GT3, Pike's Peak, Grindelwald, Rome, etc. crammed along with current (GT4) and future (Indianapolis) in GT5!

Progressive Garage: 30%

-> I've seen a screenshot that features the classic MBZ 300SL Coupe closeup. But I also saw a Daihatsu Mira TR-XX, and a new Mini on the background. This looks promising...

Race Modification Paint Scheme: 10%

-> Also known as the legendary "[R]" logo. This may seem to be a mere mirage, but if KAZ will uptempo it customizing capabilities, I think he won'tleave this feature alone.

^ If all of this are implemented 100%, the only ones that rivals GT are the ones that is exclusive to PC, no more competition on the console arena. :)

Well I've seen vids where there are about 20 cars on the track so I guess there will be more than 12 ^_^
Also I seriously hope they have changing weather and day & night.
A good thing would be where you set what time it is in your area & the lighting changes due to that, like at 1PM It'll be day but if your playing at like midnight it'll be pitch black :]
It was like that in an old Pokemon game on the Game boy so it can be done :]
Maybe I'm the only one who thinks that would be a cool idea?
