First of all, sorry for my english, I´m from Spain.

I´ve realised that cars sound MUCH, MUCH better when you look backwards than in the inside view. For example, lets take a Mitsubishi Eclipse GT 95' with sport exhaust. The inside view sound is like a "Bzzzzzzzzzz" coming from the transmission. It´s not a strong noise, it lacks "guts". But when you look behind you can listen a deep growl coming from the exhaust. It´s like a deep "brrrrrrrrrooom", not that irritating "bzzzzzzz".

I would like to know if there is a possibility to listen that sound in the normal inside view. I imagine the answer will be "no", but I open this thread just in case there would be a possibility.

It´s a pitty, because with that sound in normal view the experience would be greater.

Greetings from Spain.

I don't think it's possible, but I'm posting mainly to say that there is absolutely nothing wrong with your English.

You'd put many a native English speaker to shame.

Well, I can actually :D

MY TV sometimes switches between the different sounds of inside-outside camera, I don't why it does that but it keep switching sometimes which is actually fun :)

But my TV is crap, but it works 👍

No, it's not possible :D If you want to race with outside cam noise the whole time, why not race with the the chase cam?

It sounds like he's trying to get the sound from the look-back (L1 default) to play while looking forward. Either way, I'd have to agree with Ultrashot, that it can't really be done (unless you feel like a daredevil)

haha that would be a real challenge, complete the game in rear view mode :)

Put a mirror in front of you and put the TV behind, drive with the rearview camera.:dunce:

Oh....wait....

First of all, you have really good English.

Second, I've noticed what you said as well, but you can't transfer the sound of rearview into other positions.

What TV have you got? GT4's sound effects seem to be set up for surround sound, which doesn't work well on 2-speaker stereo TVs.

I've got a fairly standard JVC 32-inch TV with stereo sound, but i found switching the in game sound setting from stereo to mono means you can hear the exhaust on the normal in-car view.

Hope this helps.

Mmmmmm, i´ll try that. Thanks a lot!. :)

I´ve tried what "MazdaZXi" said and..... IT WORKS!!!!!!!!

I´ve changed the sound settings in the game from "stereo" to "mono" and now the sound is the same as in the outside camera or looking backwards.

Now the engine sound is what it was supposed to be: a deep strong sporty noise. Much more of a "brrrroooooooom" and less of that annoying "bzzzz" coming from the transmission. Much more of low frequencies and less of high-pitched ones.

So if you are using a TV without surround speakers maybe you shall try this and enjoy a much better sound experience.

Thanks a lot guy!.

Excellent, glad it worked! "brrrroooooooom" is much better than "bzzzz"...! :sly:
