Changing car colors?

Can anyone guide me on how to do this? I dont see an option to change the color of the car but I can change the finish of the paint. Am I overlooking it or do I have to level up?

the hue, brightness and saturation bar is how you change color

A color wheel or gradient type set up would be more intuitive, but it works.
