Charity Race Night

Some of you may know through the Premo forum or https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=114781 that I have been planning a charity race night as part of my course.

Well, last night was the big night. We had 46 people in for the night, they all really enjoyed it, we all did, even if it was hectic from 2-10. The race night itself was very successful, we raised £182.45 for the charity from that lone. Each ticket was £1 and we were running a Tote system, 50% of intake goes to charity. 8 races, 8 horses per race.

Not sure what we've got from the food (£690) and bar (~£100) receipts minus the food order (~£300), but it will be enough to push us over a total of £500 raised. We'll get 10% of the bar receipts as I understand it.

It's been a long couple of months trying to arrange this, but we got there. I really enjoyed it, fantastic learning experience.

A big thanks to TheCracker for designing the flyers, we had 1,000 donated by a local printers, and that took way too long to deliver all of them! 👍 Dan.

I'm so looking forward to a lazy day, I'm off out to get some sausages and black pudding for a fry up!

Congrats, Nigel, great work 👍 Glad to hear things went well on the night, and it sounds like it has been a very useful endeavor all round. Props to Dan for helping you out with the flyers too, I'm sure they were Cracking!
