Chase cam adjustment?

I'd like to ask a few questions about chase camera view in GT5. Currently I don't have PS3, so I can't check one thing by myself. To the point:
Chase view in GT5 is much more further from the car than in previous GT's. Especially, when You play on standard CRT TV. I've been thinking about possibility of changing the chase camera angle, and I found somewhere on the net that it can be done by going to Options > Multi-screen> 1x1 > viewing angle, and changing the percentage.
Does anyone know if it works? And more important is it possible with only one (Standard CRT) TV connected to the PS3?
And how it's going to look - I mean all indicators, track map etc.
Are they gonna be visible?

So far as I know, it's only possible to change the adjustment of the in-car view. I'm glad the chase cam doesn't make the car as huge as it was in GT3 and 4, but I don't use that view seriously myself.

Well, I´ve noticed that in some cars, the camera is too close. Look at the R32 and R33 for instance. They look huge.

Anyway, I like chase cam to have fun listening to the exhaust, but I rather use cockpit if available.

Pause menu. You´ll see the view options. You can set to wide (default), Zoom, and extra Zoom. To be honest, this doesn´t help too much since the cockpit view is usually set very close. Except for the Citroen GT, which setting it to Zoom will actually make its cockpit view look better for some reason.

Well on my TV it brings it a LOT closer for sure. You wont want max It's so close the bottom half the car is cut off the screen on chase cam. With some tweaking it should be good.
The Map and all the gauges are still there and looking normal on a HDTV.
If you want I think I SHOULD be by a CRT later I can maybe take some pics?

I'm so curious, because CRT is the only TV I've got, and I'm going to buy PS3 and GT5 next month. But on TV like this cars are just too small for me, especially after GT3 and 4. So, if there is a possibility of changing that with old tv plugged in to PS3, it would be just fantastic.

But if you´re asking about the PS3, well it doesn´t have that type of options. Just adjustments for the display definition. Any zoom options other than the ones in the game are done within the tv options. I´ve tried zooming in with my tv´s options and it does improve a little bit with some cars, but it cuts some other things.

These options should be in multiscreen options in PS3 menu as far as I remember. If Grashopper could zoom a car without missing from the screen all the gauges and indicators, it proves that it changes only the camera view in the race, not including overall display (I think). I'll wait for the pictures.

Got a few pics. Uploading now. Will edit them into this post. They aren't super clear but you get a good idea what it'll look like. Forgot I had a TV in the closet These pics are from a old 19 inch screen and its only connected to one tv. So the options are still available with one screen.

First is the default at 100

You can choose any number in between so hopefully you find one that works for you.

I mean, does the menu looks "untouched" and normal after those changes?

I didn't stick around to watch a replay but all the menus looked normal to me from what I saw in arcade mode and A-Spec. I didn't see anything cutoff.

So, thanks to your research we prove that anyone can change view as he likes. It's a pity, that these options are kind of hidden and hard to discover. Maybe it could be added to some tutorial on this forum, it may be helpful for some GT fans.

God, I love that car, real suicidal in GT4. 80 KM/H you take your foot of the gas, turn and end on a tree Not to mention in the wet, more like a death wish than a car. Pretty challenging

As far as I know multi-screen compability was implemented in GT5 1.06 Update. Unfortunately I don't know the exact names of the options, so I could name they wrong.
