I want a good steering wheel for gt6 that has ffb. I mainly want a thrustmaster t150 but I can't find one that costs below $199. Anyone know where I can find a cheaper one?

I guess I'm weird then. I use a Thrustmaster T80 and I'm fine with it until I can get the money up for a better one. No FFB, feels really cheap, just not the best in general, but I'd take it over a controller any day of the week. Maybe it's because I've never used a wheel before, but for my needs, it'll do for now. I think it's 1000% more fun to use than the controller.
T80 is recognised as a control pad. I have one myself and to be honest, It's Rubbish.... I also have a driving force GT which is really good, quick response, motorised, etc... I would recommend a motorised wheel any day :-)
True I will miss my DFGT when I eventually move to the ps4It's good that you're enjoying the game and I would probably be the same as you - I have big, clumsy hands and a hand controller felt completely un-natural to the point where I couldn't really use one so a wheel was a necessity as soon as possible - I got mine within two weeks of getting GT5. I haven't personally used the Thrustmaster non-ffb wheels, but a work colleague put a lot of miles on his and the elastic snapped on one side.
A quote from Richie Massie who has tried both force feedback and non-ffb wheels:
A great shame that the DFGT and G25/27 aren't compatible with the PS4 because a ton of them were made and they are excellent wheels.
DFGT for sure. Great wheel, my first and what an impression i made. It's issues didn't bother me and I gotta admit I kinda miss the clunking on the gears on the inside. It was the main reason I decided to my T300RS.
DFGT's used to be extremely cheap. In Sweden they were sold for as low as $75, but that's 7 years ago. Now you need to pay about $200 to get one.
Wow that's a lot, surely used versions in good conditions wouldn't be that expensive too?
The cheap steering wheels aren't worth buying and normally end up abandoned in attics or gathering dust on the shelves of charity shops.
The entry level for a PS3 and PS4 compatible wheel is the T150. If that is too expensive one option would be a cheap secondhand Logitech Driving Force GT wheel - that was the entry level wheel for the PS3. It works well with GT6 and the PS3, but is not compatible with the PS4. It is not worth buying one of these new because all non-PS4 compatible wheels will become virtually worthless when GTS comes out and everyone transfers from PS3 to PS4. If you can get one cheap you might get 9 months good use out of it before upgrading to a T150 and PS4.
If possible with secondhand wheels make sure you try them out before you buy because disreputable people will try to sell you worn out or damaged stuff. I think these are your only two options really - save for a T150 or buy an ultra cheap DFGT.
If you want a T150 bear in mind that the cost of current generation wheels rockets whenever a new GT title launches - for example when GT6 launched the price of DFGT's in the UK doubled.
Don't forget to budget for a good quality stand or rig on which to mount your wheel - I use a Wheelstand Pro.
