It's no secret I love vintage corvettes, but specifically ones that can go fast. Below is a picture of the car (In a nice shade of red), as well as a picture of my model '57 Corvette from an antique store in Austell (A.K. A the only toy I've ever wanted since I was 9).

Isn't this car in GT5? I don't have GT6 so I don't know if they removed it or what. :comfused:
I know there's an old Corvette in 6, but it's not a '57.I think it' s a '53. And if it was in 5, It was either in the ucd or I wasn' t looking hard enough.

You may be right though, I can't remember. All I know is it's not in gt6.

There is a highly modified 1960 Corvette in the game. Not very close to the '57. Changes off the top of my head are headlights and obviously power. And stability...

There's this in the car list -> Chevrolet Corvette Convertible (C1) '54 ;)

Only a year off, lol. :P

That's it! So close! Anyway it only goes 80 much stock, so it kind of Sucks unless you tune it. A '57 would be much faster (I think).

I have that one. It comes in at a hefty ¾ million dollars, but worth it In my opinion. I had mine repainted black though.

There is a big difference between the cars - the first Corvettes including the 1954 model in GT5 came with a 235 cubic inch six cylinder engine - the toy car in the picture has a 283 cubic inch V8 with the optional Rochester fuel injection so was much faster.

You knew that from a toy?

Yes! - If you look at the picture you can see the plenum chamber between the cylinder V - the Rochester FI system is very distinctive - the plenum chamber is like an oblong box then coming out of it at right angles towards the left wheel is the injection unit and the air filter is the big round shape.

If you like classic Corvettes please support this thread for the 1960 race car which won its class in the 1960 Le Mans.

Also please support my thread for the fabulous Tony Delorenzo Corvette which won 22 races on the bounce.

Ah whole game with Corvettes? Nah I can't think its a good idea but more corvettes in GT yes :D BTW I have some specifications now on Post #7 :) Have a nice day

Yes you have right but we have the ART Morrison '60 C1 too , but the 56-57 is the best looking C1 :D
Yes but the problem is that ART Morrison '60 is tuned and features a 6-speed gearbox. I would like to see the road version of '60 Corvette.

And I'm sure that Sick Cylinder wants to see a Le Mans Version of Corvette 1960.
