Nice lines! Why do it not go into production?
Because no one was buying Corvettes as it was. They had a limited run in 1953 to make sure it was production feasible (during which they had tons of quality problems), and then they ramped up to full scale production in 1954... and people didn't buy them. Then in 1955 the Thunderbird came out and it was over.
