Chevrolet Corvette Z06 LM Race Car '06 - MYTHIC'S Wacky World of Tuning

WARNING: The tunes that I post are made with a controller using X and Square for Brake & Gas. These tunes will have a lot of oversteer, especially if it is a front heavy car. All tunes are done without any aids except ABS on 1.

This is one of my two Nurburgring GT car tunes. The car still understeers a little, but I've been getting a lot of understeer in a lot of my cars recently. The car's braking is also very free on fresh tires, so keep that in mind as well.

Is there a way to make this car better on the aspect of tire ware??
This is the setup I used and won numerous times with at Death Valley:

I'm going to guess that this is a custom track so I wouldn't know... if you can get me some times at Grand Valley or Le Mans I could probably get a good insight.

There is no tire wear event at Grand Valley that I know of, and this 'Vette would be hopeless in the 25 Minutes of LeMans.

I did a few multi-hour event with this tune at Le Mans and Nurburgring and I won with it, but like I said, it's ages old. I'm talking somewhere around August of 2014 is probably the last time I touched it.
Are you using a wheel or DS3?

This Corvette has more capabilities than I am aware of, since I just acquired it for Death Valley. I use wheel - and almost always automatic transmission.

Okay, since I have nearly zero experience with a wheel in Gran Turismo, I don't know how much I'll be able to tweak this for you. Here's a few things I usually tell people when converting controller --> wheel tune:

From what I've done recently, it seems that most of my cars had their Torque Sensitivities too low, I'm gonna guess the same with this tune. Also, now that I'm looking at it, the Ride Height split is another likely contributor to the headaches with tire wear. I putting that at 75/75, and increase the front spring by one full point (if possible). Also, as I said earlier, the very high 9/8 brake balance will wear out tires very quickly, especially on very fast tire wear, which is what I assume you run under. I'd try something along the lines of 6/5 or even 5/4. It'll be slower, but you'll save the front tires a bunch, especially if you have a tendency to brake heavy and late like I do.

Also, my tuning here might have it sound confusing, but for whatever reason, I have all the available upgrades for the car listed. To my knowledge, I have none of them equipped for this power, and usually don't do events that require these parts being equipped. The removal of the Engine/Supercharger will decrease torque and put less stress on the wheels and therefore reduce tire wear.

Since you use a wheel, this car likely slides around all over the place for you, even more so with how loose I tune my cars (as described by my associate Carnby, driving one of my tunes is like handling an elephant on ice). Some ways to tighten the car up include, but not limited to:
Increasing Rear Downforce (if applicable)
Increasing Front Spring Rate
Equalizing Ride Height and Dampers
Swapping the toe angles I have listed (put the front on rear and rear on front)
Increasing Initial Torque
Lengthening the Final Drive Ratio
Adding Front Brake Balance (if the car is loose on brake).

I hope this bit is able to help you. I won't be able to access GT6 for a definite fix until at least January 3rd. Maybe later.

Thanks for sharing. Like I said, never done a wheel set up, and I'm certainly lost when it comes to PP setups.

The usage of Racing: Softs make it almost useless in all of my tunes as I nearly exclusively Racing Hards on GT.
And that Ring time is 24 hour circuit, right?

You can use this setting to make jumps, also with hard tires. But I do not think this configuration in reality takes for a 24 hour race. I make config in order to make jumps and could touch the grass without skidding. Have Good Run
