My dad had a 78 beige Opala coupe when I was growing up in Brazil. I loved that car! I'll see if I can find an old photo!

Well I think his was a 1978, but it was just a Commodoro version, not the SS. Still beautiful though!

Comodoro is more beautiful. The SS has the sportish appeal, but not the looks.

Though this car isn't seen much in the US, I do know about the Chevrolet Opala. It's style is a mix of the Chevelle and Nova, and it used a "250-S" straight-6 as the top-of-the-line engine instead of a 350 V8 found in GM's American Muscle Cars at the time. Dispite the smaller engine, it wasn't slow. In fact, it was the fastest Brazilian-Made car at the time!

I like it. Looks like it'll be a fun car to tune for racing, or simply cruise around in it.

I say that they should bring this to GT. Add a bit more variety to the Muscle Car class by not only having American Muscle cars, but some Brazilian Muscle cars as well!
