A buddy of mine works for Chrysler as a contract employee but he got tickets for their friends and family open house. Chrysler pretty much opened the entire facility and showed off virtually everything they had, and oddly left the PF and KL (the new small car and small SUV) test mules everywhere. I was quite surprised but rather happy!

Even though I pretty much hate everything Chrysler stands for, I do enjoy seeing the inner workings of a car company.

They've been working on the R/T Caravan forever, I doubt it'll ever come out.

The Dodge M80 concept truck and Lowerforty Jeep are amazing. Those should be made!!! Especially the M80, that thing is NICE. I'd buy one if I could afford it. Also for a toaster the Dodge Hornet looks lightyears better than any other toaster minus the Kia Soul. They should build that too.

They're still making dodge trucks in there... But ram is the truck brand now... I'm sufficiently confused! Those are awesome shots too, really cool to see all those unreleased cars

I believe the R/T is supposed to be showing up at the end of the year. At least, that's what I thought they said when I was in Chicago back in February...

Still, a nifty tour if you ask me. The number of Fiat prototypes is surprising, I think. Perhaps they are much closer to giving us a proper Caliber replacement than I thought?

They are pretty close, it'll be a 2013 MY and is supposed to look like a mini Charger or something. They are also building a small SUV that will be similar in size the MINI Countryman and Nissan Juke which will ride on the same platform.

 @ the ME412

The Hornet and LowerForty, why have they not made them?

The Hornet is some failed project with the Chinese or something if I remember correctly.

actually, I think Joey is right regarding the hornet concept.

what amazes me more is they bothered to keep a Jeep GP, a Willys Overland and a clasic power wagon at all. I thought most manufacturers sold they're preserved historical stock to collectors for money.

Chrysler has a huge museum on their campus that houses their collection of important vehicles. Pretty much all of those cars were shipped over from their for the open house. However, they still crush most of the concepts.
