Chrysler brought out the sporty Pacer in 1969. Powered by a high performance slant six, it featured a beefed up suspension, floor-mounted gearshift, snarly exhaust and a built-in tachometer.
#51D driven by Peter Brown & Des West to the class D win and 7th outright in the 1970 Bathurst 500.
Available in both 2 & 4 door body styles and included options such as a 'track pack' homoligation special for the annual factory effort at Bathurst in the 500 miles. Powered by a 245ci Hemi in line six with options of a 2 barrel or 4 barrel carburetor.
