It gets my vote just for its name in French: Circuit of the Hell Hole. Looks mostly unused and discarded on Google maps. But the link shows a racing school in operation in recent history...

If any locals have details, I'd love to hear them. It's a short track with two configurations of just 1.7 km or 2.2 km. I'm looking for a track that would have been used for some non-championship F1 events in the Fifties. Something tells me, this isn't it. But maybe it's the remnants of a larger circuit.

A mystery track.

Yep, looking at the map more closely, it looks like the old circuit went off to the West, using the access road and the coastal highway. You can see what looks like an old sweeping curve in the residential area that could link to an abandoned road coming off the access road. Also, there is a residential street named Puits d'Enfer, but that could be just the name of the locality.

Or, maybe not. Someone will know and set me straight.
