Gran Turismo 5 has a large collection of 1031 cars. (excluding DLC) From Futurastic fan cars to slow slow vintage cars. An example of the latter is the Citroen 2CV Type A '54. Argubally one of worst cars in the game. On a par with this turtle like car include the 1958 Subaru 560, the 1968 Fiat 500F and the more modern 1998 Da****u Midget.
Now, one of the funnest things to do with the cars in the slower, older category is to detune them. Anyone with an IQ over 20 knows that "detuning" is defined as making a car worse as opposed to "tuning" which is supposed to make the car better. I once saw a photo where somebody detuned a Range Rover and had it on two wheels on the Top Gear Test Track runway. Including the setup for the said car.

Now, I took the time to detune my Citreon which has been left in my garage to dust since I won it at this...Was it French championship in the amatur series? (A-Spec) Who cares? Now anyway, Like I said I detuned my Citreon. It goes 51km/h, redlines at 4500rpm, weighs 695kg and only has 14bhp with a 170 Power Point rating to match these depressing figures.
I then took it out for a lap on the 23km Special Stage Route 7 which for those who don't know, is a long highway track in a place I call "Special Stage City". It's great for testing a car's top speed, learning to take tight turns while approaching them at 400km/h and in this case, seeing how slow this crapmobile we call a "Citreon" really is.
The experiment was pretty straight forward. It got a chance for me to enjoy the fireworks, chat on Facebook and wish I was driving something like a Bugatti Veyron which goes around about 8 times faster than what I was driving.
After minutes of boredom, I got a final time of 28:14.889. Which was noted as "quick" by members of a GT5 chatroom. But I have to disagree because if you ever driven an X2010 or something, you'll realise that this is pretty damn slow
Now for the tune:
You don't really have to buy much. Just fully customizible suspension and transmission kits. I also brought some Comfort Hards for the test lap but this is entirely personal tastes. Don't buy any power upgrades, it just ruins the spirit of this tune.
To break that down, you buy:
This is where the slow part comes in:
BALLAST:
-Ballast Amount (kg) - 200
-Ballast Position - 0 (Dosen't really matter but I left it at 0)
TRANSMISSION:
-Assuming the gear ratios are at their default setting, first set the max speed slider to 80km/h (Or all the way to the left)
-For each gear, we slide it all the way to the right. For the exact ratios:
-Final Gear: 5.500
Now this is the most complex part: Suspension!
SUSPENSION
BRAKES:
They don't really matter but I set them to 0/0
Well that does it pretty much. You now officily have THE SLOWEST CAR IN THE GAME
All I have to say is.....Enjoy!
