According to my father the greatest car of all time, except for the seats, and the car of my childhood.

In true Citroën fashion it had the Hydractive suspension first seen in the XM.
This particular model was powered by the XUD TE/Y Turbodiesel which was hailed as the best diesel engine of its time and producing 88bhp and 196Nm of torque, combined with a 5-speed STICK SHIFT (because hardcore). The claimed top speed was 111mph but we once managed 118mph on a flat german Autobahn.
Unfortunately we don't have any more photos of it, so this is the closest thing to it that I could find:

identical except for engine and probably interior trim

When I read this post I honestly thought it was an advertisement to sell your car.
It served us for well over 10 years and over 600.000
kilometers without major problems. No rust, the engine was never opened and even the electrics didn't make problems.

Lol just noticed it. But I have to disappoint you, we sold it in late 2007. And who would want to buy a 17-year old diesel Citroen with 600.000km on the clock anyway? I just suggested it because I have a special relationship with it. It was the car I grew up with and that started my fascination the technical bits that make a car stand out aside from the design and the horsepower. My Taste in cars would be very different today if it wasn't for this car.
