This thing has 1 gear, and I was sitting at the line for my first run it this thing like, Whats the Deal? D? Even with the Auto it displays the gears, then it quietly builds to 200mph+ blistering speeds. However its taking some time to get the hang of not being able to downshift into my power band.

What do you think of the Citroen GT's odd Gear

It's a sexy beast. get ready to be weirded out though. The One Gear takes a bit of getting used too.

I got a Black one and a Silver one ;)

Maybe all concept work with one gear? Cause I still remember that Nike concept car in Gran Turismo 4 when I was 11. 250mph techno machine =D and I miss it =(

No that's not it for sure...

But I just found out that the car was Created in a partnership between Gran Turismo & Citroen.

WHAT?

"Citroen & Gran Turismo announced their collaboration on a new sports car model, making the first time a video-game maker was involved in the creation of a real car. The result of this collaboration, the concept car "GT by Citroen"."

wait. You didn't know? I know that but why 1 gear? Wait. I'll read TopGear again. There was a column about the GTbyCitroen. I'm not sure where its a electrical vehicle.* because, if it is one, I understand the one gear ratio thing* or was it a combustible engine

It's an electric vehicle concept. The real life one is gas-powered because of the obvious limitations of battery power now.

lolz, the Citroen GT has an electric motor -> electric motors produce torque in a totally different manner, hence no need for a gearbox.

I always thought it had CVT. When driving it in GT5P, I was always down/upshifting through the bends and thinking: Oh right, that's not required with this car. :P It's a bit like driving a really fast cart, or driving a fighter jet. :)

I love driving it on the old Sarthe and when I get to the big straight, I put it in reverse and try to get to end without losing control, when in reverse it can go up to 200Mph :)

Isn't the Electric a concept, but the Actual car runs on a gas engine?

So we would be driving the Electric CONCEPT in the game?

To answer your question, We're actually driving the real concept made by Citroen and PD themselves.
The one showed at the Goodwood Festival was a recreation of the concept with an combustible engine in it.

btw, I just got the car. I'm racing at the Autumn Ring and when I was approaching the hairpin, I could have sworn the AI is trying to kill me.
All 3 AI GTbyCitroens were aiming for me

That's hilarious! I was thinking the exact same when I watched the replay when I did a hot lap in this car. The track is so small and they all want to squeeze on the "ideal" race line.

^^This is correct

Being only about an hour out of a ride in a Tesla Roadster I can tell you that since it's electrics gears are not as crucial.

Lol i tried that at Le Sarthe and i laughed going 170 backwards. J turns is also fun with that car:)

Being electric, I thought this thing would accelerate much faster (elec = 100% of torque at any rpm)... still not too shabby though!
