civic ek 97 drag tune

If only there were engine swaps.:ouch:

A Civic with a Bugatti engine...

May I remind you that GT5 is a SIMULATION game, not one that you can take your ricer civic, put a bunch of "Type R" stickers on it, tune it up to a gazillion hp and have it beat Vipers and Enzos....

If engine will fit, it should be able to be swapped.

Even then, it won't be the same car. It see it as a sense of amusement which is why you can do it in Forza but from a simulation point of view, it is rarely done in the real world because engines aren't meant to be moved around and often have their lives shortened because of an incomplete environment under which they function.

^^^While that may be true, you got to admit it would be cool. If they at some point added it, I'd hope they would have engines actually die and have to have you swap for another of get rid of your car and buy a new one. I'd love a 351W in some of the cars I have.

saying that their lives are shortened isn't fair. If done properly an engine swap can not only last but maintain or Improve the balance of the car. For example replacing an all iron small block chevy with a shiny aluminum big block that is lacking nothing and is lighter. But... I'm probably off topic too.

Hmm, engine swap does occus frequently in real life if im not wrong. Problem is that gt5 didnt take this "drag"/modify/customization thing into consideration, even though it was a feature highly sought after..sad :(

Agree about engine swaps, I know a few people that have done it. And also you can buy engines from scrap yards and ****.

True, engine swaps would be fun, but to be honest, we do have manny good cars for drag racing, we just dont have a proper drag strip, tree, or timing system. If gt5 would have online drag, it would be one of the best games ever, because the physics are really good. Gt5 community also have very good tuners, even better than the forza community (which i come from).

Secons, if there would be engine swaps, i wish it would be realistic ones, like putting a 2jzgte engine in a mkiii supra, or a modern ls engine in an old vette.

I think drag racing is missing some kind of drag specific tire, or at least rss tires from gt4 just as much as it needs a tree. Engine swaps are just a pipe dream, at least at this point.
