CLASS XII ASSOCIATION - WEEK 2

hongkong2d.jpg

This week will pose a challenging race. The course is unforgiving; bumping into a wall could severely diminish your chances of winning; and the competitors will jump at every chance the can to get in front of you (I'm not joking about this; brake a bit too early and the car behind you can come flying in front of you. It's happened to me several times). But the LSD helps with out-of-corner acceleration and a bit on the deceleration which is critical to win this event. Bonus points will be on offer for both 1st and 2nd places in this event.

Track
  • Hong Kong

Car
  • Renault 5 Turbo '80

Settings
  1. Go to GT Mode "Home"
  2. Select the 5 Turbo.
  3. Go to Renault's tuning shop in France.
  4. Purchase and equip the car with an 1.5 way limited-slip differential and semi-racing exhaust.
  5. Exit the tuning shop and find Hong Kong in the City Courses at the northernmost section of GT Mode's main page.
  6. Change the course to reverse and set the AI to +5.
  7. Go to settings (the red toolbox), turn all driving aids off and check to make sure that both the LSD and exhaust filters are equipped.
  8. "Fish" for a race between 95 and 101 A-spec points.

Race Rules
  • You may race as many times as you like.
  • You will get 3 bonus point added to your championship point total if you place first and 2 for second.
  • Use your best lap time.
  • Both constraints must be met to the best of your ability in one race. This means you can't get a really good time in one race, but don't win and then don't get as good a time but do win and PM me that you won and got a really good time.
  • PM me your best time by midnight on Saturday, December 17th, 2011 GMT.

Don't forget to do an oil change before the race. You absolutely MUST because the cars from the used car lot have never had an oil change so their HP is considerably lower. You don't need to do one after the race since we won't be using the same car for the duration of the season.
