Attention all GT6 fans. If you are looking for a fun night of clean, competitive and realistic racing on your PS3 then look no further. I'll be hosting a double mini-endurance Thursday 10/16 at 10pm EDT/7pm PDT (2am UTC) for all racers interested. Racing will be in a friends only room so please send me a PSN friend request to Koszak27 if you are interested in taking part.
Both races will be set for 45 minutes in length with one mandatory pit-stop. The tires for both races will be comfort soft with tire wear on fast. The first race will include qualifying with the grid set to fastest first and the second race will be reverse grid based on race one's results with no qualifying.
The races have a specific car list associated which allow drivers to use un-tuned vehicles comparable in speed. Each car will only be allowed to be used by one driver, so your early sign-up will help you get the car you want.
First Race: Trans Am Series - Salinas, CA 1970
The first race and qualifying will be run at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. The following cars are available to race:
Second Race: Street Car Shootout - Kent, UK 1989
The second race will be held at Brands Hatch Grand Prix '80s. The following cars are available:
Fixed Room Host: Yes
Max Number of Participants: 14
Race Quality: High
Voice Chat Quality: Very Low
Course Settings: Laguna Seca/Brands Hatch Grand Prix '80s
Start Type: Grid Start w/ False Start Check
Boost: Off
Penalty: Off
Visible Damage: Off
Mechanical Damage: Light
Slipstream Strength: Real
Tire Wear/Fuel Consumption: Fast
Grip Reduction: Real
Minimum No. of Pit Stops: 1
Required Tire Compound Change: Off
Tire Restrictions: Comfort Soft
Nitrous: Prohibited
Vehicle Tuning: Prohibited
Driving Aids: Only ABS 1 allowed
Qualifying: Alone/Last corner start
Any type of aggressive driving, driving backwards, dive bombing or other non-sense will result in an instant kick from the room. I am looking for clean drivers who enjoy a realistic race and a challenge, so please save the childish racing maneuvers for another time. If you don't understand the rules please check the GTPlanet OLR compliments of @VBR.
If you have any questions, please ask. If you are interesting in racing, please post in this thread with the two cars you want to race. Car choices will be first come first serve. The PP values for the cars include the oil change.
I hope to see you on track next Thursday!
