Classic Japanese Car Tuning

I haven't really seen any tunes for classic japanese cars. So I'll just start this off :)

Nissan Skyline 2000GT-R (KPGC10) '73

Power: 281 hp
Torque: 205 ft-lb
Weight: 974 kg

Oil change + engine rebuild when possible after purchase

All performance parts and weight reduction. Racing Soft tires
No aero (personal preference, the wings available are just plain ugly)

Suspension settings:
Ride Height - -25F -20R
Spring Rate - 6F 4.5R
Extension - 5F 5F
Compression - 6F 5R
ARB - 3F 4R
Camber - 2.8F 2.2R
Toe - 0F 0.2R

Transmission:
Max 260 km/h seems generally suitable

Differential:
Torque - 10
Acceleration - 40
Braking - 20

This setup is very enjoyable to drive on the Nurburgring. The car sticks to lines very well. I haven't driven it much on other tracks, but I find that you will need to stiffen up the suspension.

I'll be tinkering with new cars whenever I'm able to find some in the used car lot.

You're welcome to contribute as well!

i dont know why there are only 3 choices for wings despite that we both know that there are more than that in a (irl) local tuner shop.
and i'm going to try out this setup... i know that i'm a so-so driver, but i think i can handle myself. i'll let you know how it all works out :)

I just wish the car was a premium so that I can put proper wheels on it!

i changed some settings...
differential acceleration sensitivity = 0/35
differential braking sensitivity = 0/25
dampers compression = 5/5
brake balance = 4/6

everything else was the same

i didnt have the fundage for the engine rebuild

timings...
eiger norwand short track = 1:15.204
tsukuba circuit = 1:02.778
nurburgring gp/d = 1:44.878
london = 1:02.960

i'm sure you can do better timings than those above.

overall ... great tune :)

awesome tune and every cooler thread please keep posting. i'd love to see a tune for the Nissan 240ZG (HS30) '71

Ahh, I must've hit the Reset button accidently because the settings I posted are the default ones. But it still drives well regardless. I'll try out your settings
