Very Important, as you know this car will wipe out every turn no matter what you do, not anymore. With this set up it has SO much grip.

Racing Hard Front
Racing Soft Rear

This is very important, you have to run your tires this way, on Daytona you can get 25 plus laps easy.

I didnt want to share this tune but I'm tired of being wiped out on the 1st turn....Have fun

When you have a setup, it is best to show your best lap so people do not waste time if they already have a better setup. The reason you are being wiped out is that daytona is the simplest track in the game. Its boring and it promotes crashing.

My mom told me if you dont have anything positive to say "keep your mouth shut"

We all Daytona is the easiest track, who gives a S%&t? Alot of people are doing old muscle car races there for fun. Not to set the best lap time?
Every 500 hp car in the game will run 42 secs. It makes no sense post a time for an oval? If you want to set a best time go play with yourself in practice mode.
For others who want a set to get the crappy cars under control they can use them. Go get a Shelby gt350 and try to take a turn on ANY track in the game and let me know how that goes for ya. And make sure you do it alone....lol, Tool!!!

That is a highly negative response. I personally enjoy running Muscle cars and I also am the Host of the Vintage Trans Am racing series.

I personally hate seeing every muscle room stuck on Daytona cause if the HP is unrestricted, everyone hops in the Cuda or whatever ever new highest HP car and sticks with it. I like changing tracks more often.

Second, when there an even playing field, .100 of a second can give you a win or a lost. So posting some example Lap times is recommended for posting tunes. I go a step further and usaully post a picture of the car and time to prove the time I set. (Although you can never tell what aids are on however) Regardless it gives the user a reference point to base off of when they go to use their tune or yours.

Also, In my series, FYI. We have a guy who uses the GT350R and does way better than I ever expect and watching the replays does not have spinning out control and would hands down beat me if we used the same car for sure.

Last, If your mom told you to keep your mouth shut if you have nothing positive to say, than your post should have never made it's way out. Your always going to get people who will agree, disagree, and give advice. If you can't untuck your panties out of the wad and accept that, perhaps you should just read only and not post.

Good response until you called me out, my panties in a wad? Call me out for saying something neg then you do the same thing? Pot Kettle Black?

You're right, thats why we run same make rooms. Everyone grab the same car, Winner picks the car. If I was doing a tune for the Ring Id do the caps, car pic ect. My main reason for the post was to help people who want to get a car under control, its down to EACH driver to drive it. If I run 26 secs doesnt mean Joe Blow can do the same.
I'm not trying to impress the masses like alot of posts, just some tunes for people to try out.
There are not a lot of muscle tunes and if you look people are asking and no one is helping unless you review their tunes???
Here's some freebies to try out. If you like them, cool!! I dont need an ego stroke, know what I mean?

I never claimed my mom taught me that slogan.

Posting times is not for impressing, as I stated they are part of the learning process. When I race against other people and they post faster lap times I pay alot of attention to the time in the sections, and overall time. This allows me to narrow down where I am doing better, fair, or worst than whatever Time I am going for. It also lets me know based on the track, what the Tune's strong and weak points are. When it comes down to it, the entire point of racing is the clock.

To me, a Tune without a time accounts for nothing. It would be like claiming to have a perfect engine setup and never producing a dyno sheet.

And by the way, if you compare your above post with your second one, the second one has alot more "matured" nature in it and is a better formulated argument. Had your first one been as good, I would have never been no inclined to use the panties in a wad comment.

I also enjoy running one-make races at Daytona with muscle cars, winner chooses car. NOT boring, lots of fun! 16 idiots all driving Super Birds, whooping and hollering at each other is as much fun as anything GT has to offer.

It's also a real hoot when you can get 16 people with decent setups on their Shelby Cobras, trying to race clean.

Indy Speedway is fun, too; a bit more challenging to achieve good lap times there with the heavy, high-powered cars.

Well, aside from all the non-contructive BS above, I had to try your tune, as I was working on getting my Superbird tuned for Daytona. Per your notes, I set it up using your '71 Cuda tune. Your suspension worked a bit better than mine, giving me about 2-3 MpH on the corner exits (198ish to 200ish). However, I was able to cut a couple tenths by combining my transmission with your suspension. We both had completely different LSD settings, but they don't seem to matter much on Daytona. The important part is to short shift a bit, as the Superbird's powerband drops like a rock at about 6000 rpm (according to the graph, feels about right) then keep it in 5th once you get there.

Here's my transmission settings... seems like I get a max top end of about 213 MpH without a draft. This is a fully modded Superbird.

Set max first: 249
1st: 2.175
2nd: 1.376
3rd: 0.960
4th: 0.744
5th: 0.583
Final: 3.370

I know 1-3 don't matter much... until you wipe out. So I deceided to set them anyway with a quickie setup.

I was hoping to get this classic muscle car into similar times as an un-tuned NASCAR... I'm off a 2-3 MpH on the straights, and about 2 tenths on a lap (no draft) 43.32s vs 43.12s. Lap times were taking the low line on Daytona, trying to be consistant to find the best tune, not the best line. I think, if I stay in the draft, I'd have a chance of running with an un-tuned NASCAR, but I'd be at a bit of a disadvantage.

When you have a setup, it is best to show your best lap so people do not waste time if they already have a better setup. The reason you are being wiped out is that daytona is the simplest track in the game. Its boring and it promotes crashing.

So if I use a wheel and you use sticks do you think we will get the same time even if I post my best lap time? I doubt it.Daytona boring? Try racing 16 X1's and tell me that is boring doing 29 second laps.

Thanks for the great tunes, as one of the 16 guys whooooooping it up. I just like to race and have a great time with the few hours a night that I have. I could care less about useless lap times, they mean nothing when our dodging wreaks or drafting 90% of the time LOL. I have a lot of other muscle cars that I dont have Daytona tunes for (Chevelle, Camaro Corvette i.e.). I, just like a lot of guys am not a pro at GT5, but we all just want to have a blast racing OLD SCHOOL. If you have any other tunes that you want to share I know a lot of us old timers would be Grateful.

ps, men think they are great at two things. sex and racing cars. ROTFLMAO
