hello guys,,

im new to this forum and im a big fan of gt3 but im having some difficulties in the races that contain sumulation tires especially when it comes to sharp turns in most of the tracks.

so i was wondering, is it possible to disable them? if not, can you give me some tips for clean driving till i get the chance to use the pit stop without getting in last place.

may i remind you that the car im using is the mitsubishi 3000GT with maximum tuning or the suzuki escudo pikes peak version 1887 hp with wide drivetrain.

thanx

Races that contain simulation tires? There are races that are simulation-tires only? Is that what you're saying? I've never heard of that. What are these races called? Are they in the pro league?

..from what i understand, unless you're doing rallys, you're free to use whatever tires you want and shouldn't have to "disable" anything. Am i missing something?

1887 is a bit to much on sim tyres i think, I, diong fine with less then 500
and I must agree with parnelli bone because I never have come across sim only races on one championchip to go soo...

I also have no clue exactly what you are meaning by sim tire only races also. Anyways welcome. Also the escudo wont handle worth anything no matter what tires are on it. My opinoin anyways. And since you posted this in the drifting section i will assume you are trying to drift, if so i would go with something like a S13 or 14 or its usually easier to learn with something like a Evo or such.

those are the races that contain tire sensors that go from blue to red and it reduces speed turn handlings.

You don't need sim tyres for those races. You should be using Racing Medium tyres or whatever that suits the race.

Ok now I am assuming you mean simulation tyre wear in those paticular races and not 'simulation' tyres as it seemed at first, so then...

No... you can not disable the tyre wear ("tire sensors as you put it")

You are using cars with crazy unnecessary power so it is expected they are going to chew up the tyres badly. If you want reduced tyre wear to get through the races I recomend

*Changing cars or tune to something not so over the top.
*Change your driving style so you don't wheelspin/slide so much (ease on the throttle).
*Go for a harder tyre, they don't have quite as much grip but do last longer.
*Increase driving aids like traction control to computer tame some of that power if you have trouble yourself.

These questions seem to not be Drifting related so this thread should have been made in the general GT3 area, I'm cunfused why you added Drifting in the title when this is about races and tyre wear?

Everyone else already said this but i'll say it again. YOu shouldn't use simulation tires for races with tire-wear. For races that last 5 laps, i'd try using medium-slicks {T4}. For races that last 10 laps, you can use T2's (super-slick) on heavier cars, and maybe T3's or T4's on lighter cars--that depends on where the drive wheels are and stuff. For endurance races, your safest bet will be T2's, because they last so long, but i've done the Laguna Seca race in a Viper on T4's.

Also, you can try different combinations of tires: if you notice your rear wheels are turning red but your front wheels are still green, you can use harder tires up in the rear but softer tires up front. (maybe a combo of T2's and T4's.) This way, by the time you need to take a pitstop, all your tires have worn out at the same rate.

Also, you know you have to make pitstops to make your tires blue again, right?

thanx alot
and by the way what i ment of simulation tires is that they are based as real tires mostly in the med and pro races. the tires that i use are super soft tires

Oooooh that's BAD! Super soft tires are the least durable of all!!!! You won't go more than a lap or 2 before they start to fade, my man. In fact, i'll go so far as to say you should NEVER use them unless you're doing some sort of online challenge or time trial. So far i have not come across a single race in which you truely need Super-softs!
