Clio Cup

Could anyone help me with which car to use for the clio cup? no matter which one I try, the race car version in the races smokes me, nomatter what upgrades I put on it. I don't think you can get the race car version anywhere but by beating the race. Any help would be appreciated...I'm getting really frustrated with that race.

I used a Clio V6 230 (or "Phase 1" as it's called in GT4), tuned to 290 hp on race tyres. I also nailed every non-power part possible to it.

Get the Clio V6 Phase II, and try THESE settings. And put on R3s for tires. And fully mod it.

i used a full tuned clio v6 phase 2 with sport medium tires and won all the races

I used the older clio v6 from the used car lot. When that one is fully tuned, it weights less than the new clio v6 and has a better power/weight ratio, even when it's not one of those 6.2 mile/10km types.

I actually used the Clio sport that you get from Renault at the new car lot. Of course modificartions had to be done and I think I decided to use race tires as well due to the fact that I was going up against racing cars. The car had around 200hp and was a blast to drive.

This series is yet another one that ticked me off - not because it was difficult, but because the prize award is YET AGAIN the stupidest possible choice that PD could have made.

You effectively have to build your own Clio racecar to compete against the actual Clio racecars, just so you can win (wait for it)... a Clio racecar.

I used a white (I think, or maybe blue) Renault Clio Sport, tuned to 302hp, on R3 tires, for 29 A-spec points. My buildout was as follows:

Wing, LW3, race suspension, full customize trans, 3x clutch, race brakes, race intake/exhaust, chip, and NA1. I also put a snappy set of red wheels on it to make it look somewhat like a racecar. My MOVs were anything from 1.2xx" to 4.9xx".

I used fully tuned Clio V6 '00(?) on S2 tires. 5x65 joyful A-Spec points and pink racecar

Clio V6 Phase II, R3s & 135 ballast and you have 5x 200 point races, all winnable. 👍

I used a clio V6, probably modded a bit. Fun drive. Use the car again for the Tsukuba 9hr for a good race.

Wow talk about digging up an old thread. I posted this about a year ago on my first run through the game. I forgot to thank famine and duck at the time so now that someone dredged this up again, thanks guys from a year ago.
