Clio Trophy: RENAULT Renault Sport V6 24V Race Car '00

Hello, I've done a search and cant find the info I need.

My question is; How do I get the black version of the Renault Sport V6 24V Race Car '00 on winning the complete Clio Trophy manufacturers series?

I've raced the championship over 30 times now and my patience is wearing thin, every time I've won any colour other than black, this must be more than a coincidence.

Other than using a (9 A spec points for a win) clio modified to 400 odd bhp just to get the races over and done with what am I doing wrong? Do you need to enter the race with a lower spec clio to get enough A spec points to allow you the black race version? I can even win this competition with a modified fwd clio and yet still no Black Trophy clio in my garage.

I'm about one more race away from madness, if I see another pink clio aaaaahh.........

It's just randomly assigned a color, with no dependency upon your points, etc. etc. I hate to say it, but your luck just sucks that hard, at least in this particular instance.

Some colours seem to be harder to get than others. Pink Clio, red Impreza Super Touring, black RX-7 LM, and thats just naming a few that I've had to do 100,000,000 races just to win one. I have them all now though, just keep trying. 👍

Apparently, after googling about 5 results all of them say you can get this including the S2000 in the Used Car lot.

Hmm not so sure about that, the race version doesn't appear on the used car cycle xls file for the PAL version I have. Yes, in the used car lot there is a Mk1 235 Clio in pearl black, also available in Illiad Blue and Mars Red and titanium silver (their manufacturer paint names I don't know the gt4 names) but non of these are the racing trophy version.

The black one (non racer) would be rare enough irl as I do not think a production MK1 was sold in black (only 500 MK1's were ever produced) I'd like to be wrong about this though, as it's the best colour for the MK1, so irl if you see one it's probably been resprayed or is a early production run, silver seemed to be the colour to buy these cars in.

The MK2 255 V6 was available in black gold irl but why PD didn't create a acid yellow Mk2 for GT4 is beyond me, it's the holy grail of MK2 colours irl and the good ones fetch £££££ more than any other colours. There is literally a que when, once in a blue moon, one comes up for sale.

Yep, he's definitely wrong about the race car version being available in the used car lots. 👎 Google, wrong?

However, the MK1 235 Clio Road car is available 6 times throughout the 700 day cycle in "Noir Nacre", ironically & coincidentally, one of these occasions is on days 694 - 700 when the 4 "Black Beauties" arrive too! 👍

So has anybody won the Black Clio Race Car before? I've tried countless times and only won the Pink (#99 I think), Gold and Silver versions. Anybody else won in a different colour?
