Clio V6 Phase 2

You're crazy if you think
I can afford either of these.
Why did nobody ever tell me about this car? I sware it's the most fun I've had with GT4 in a long time! All I did was give it a HP boost up to 395 and it's murdering some 600+ hp beasts! This thing is just amazing. Am I the only one that thinks this?

All true. A fantastic car and certainly one of my top five cars in the game. The trophy racing version (based on the MK1) is also great to drive and excellent fun around the Nurburgring.
Just like in real life, off the mark the Vee has superb grip and the sound is pretty accurate too although the Mk1 is much more twitchy in real life and quite sure footed in GT4. But that's all as standard and, as you have found out, they are even better when modified as the game chassis takes the upgrades and really allows you to take advantage of them without making the car unusable.

it has a bit of "supercar" feeling into it.., after all, IT IS called "Le Super Car"..,

I found the Clio to be a bit of a handful with N2 tyres and not sure-footed at all....

;)

I meant compared to real life, in GT4 it's like a road magnet in comparison.

In reality there are tons on the road that were cat c-d write off's then repaired. I think because of the lightness, short wheel base, the rwd and mid engine layout they want to spin without much provocation, hence why Renault sport revised the suspension on the MK2... the MK1 is more notorious, my joke is that you could park up, walk in your shop and come out to find it facing the opposite way.... well, they're not quite that bad but you get the point.

Saying that, they handle really well with decent tyres (and driver) here's a good example:

Jean Ragnotti (legend!!) makes it look easy in the wet but even he nearly looses it at relatively low speed, that 'snap' back mid corner is what usually catches drivers out with this car when the limit of grip is reached so it slips and then regains grip very suddenly.

That Ragnotti video is brilliant, you can see how much the weight in the back of the car helps when he flicks it into a 360.

That's a quality video Paulfenning, great to see a little hatchback do that! At first I thought it would just be a few power slides but you really get it sideways a number of times there and it's nicely controlled!
I don't know if anyone would or could remotely do that with the real thing.
