Well, They finnaly lost their minds and let Me host a Competition, anyways, For the First week's theme,
I want to see The Revolutionary War again. For this first C.C.C.L (Certain Car, Certain Location)
2008 Dodge Challenger at Laguna Seca, Vs. the 2009 Lotus Evora at The Top Gear Test Track.
There must be only the car you pick in the shot, So either the Challenger, or the Evora, no other cars allowed.

LOCATIONS: Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca OR The Top Gear Test Track
PHOTOTRAVEL: No
UNIQUE RESTRICTIONS: See Above

This Thread has everything you need to know.

• No other editing, besides proportionally resize and rotate, is allowed outside GT5 Photomode
• Only one try per user allowed. It must be that user's own work and never used in another competition
• Do not ask other members to choose your entry
• Entry post must be marked with a FINAL ENTRY text
• Entries may be only changed once and it must be indicated clearly
• Entries must be posted in either thumbnail or a preview. We recommend you to link either to it's fullsize
• Previews should not exceed the limit of 500px in either direction and have any effect not present in the original image
• Posts containing bigger previews than allowed, full sizes or links only will be ignored;
• It's reccomended that you use a free image hosting service such as ImageShack, Photobucket, or Flickr
• Only the 20 Best entries will get through to the Classic Poll Style, and the best 10 in each poll in a H2H Poll Style
• In H2H weeks, entries must choose a "team", and the best from each poll faces off
• H2H are Special events, held every 10 weeks.
• Keep in mind that the Host of this competition may ask for the original image and it must be submitted if so.
• It's reccomended to store the original image (From the USB Stick) until competition week ends

Er, it's kind of misleading to have CCCL offer more than one car...

Also, your PM link links to Nick's FAQ thread, and you mention H2H polls in the rules where, as far as I can tell, they won't ever be taking place (since the rule options are PMC and 2.0 inplace of poll types).

I talked to Luis about it, and he said the H2H Can be 10 week things (1, 10, 20 ect) And i fixed the link thing, and this is my first time doing something so code heavy, and it actually official-ish

So im right in reading that this is a straight from GT5 photocomp so no editing?

Also is it the Dodge ONLY at laguna and the Lotus ONLY at TGTT?

Yep, this week is straight from GT5, next week is editing, the comp will switch rules weekly
And it's Dodge only at Laguna, and Lotus Only at TGTT

Ah, cool beans, perhaps we need something just to remind people about H2H when it does come up .

I too really like the orange, nice choice, I was hoping for either that or green. Which are the two colours I'm most likely looking at if I do get an entry in, for whichever side...

The basic layout is one I created months ago, prior to release of GT5 (and got the go-ahead from Jordan about the 'Planet right when I joined the staff). The colours are either Gtuned's or MinoltaMan's (I'm not sure who, but I know both were talking with Nick behind the scenes); I figured we'd all pick our own colours, so we have a shared template between us for easy updating and a uniform look

Nice competition. The heavy restrictions on last weeks 2.0 (San Gimignano) gave a lot of variety, so this could turn out to be nice

Ah ha! I was hoping this comp would make a return! Here it is.

Not too keen on the either/or theme, I'd prefer it was one car one location, but I'm not the judge... Anyways I'll be entering this one.

I love the orange color too, nice choice. I won't be entering this week cause I'm not at home until sunday but I'll certainly enter the following weeks. I love these Photomode Comp !
Also, I think H2H poll style should be left out of this comp. Keeping PMC or 2.0 seems enough for me.

And Sixtoes, bring your HDR comp, I'm up for it !

First, the colors were my idea, but Nick helped me, when he sent over the PSD's they were in about 20 layers and my head just about exploded.
As for the H2H, it was an idea that i had that i really wanted to use in a competition, just to see the results. But i think everyone's right about the H2H, 10 week speicals should be good, and any other time just be 1 car and location.

Don't you mean the other way around? - H2H on special weeks?

About the H2H, I was a bit skeptical about it at first when GTuned spoke me about it, but it can really help bring on some variety to the competition, since it won't always happen, it will be like a special feature even once in a while.

SlipZ made the banners, but the orange was GTuned idea and I'm pretty glad he choose that colour.

All I can say now is, keep entering people. 👍

May have something to do with TGTT being a rather boring track scenery wise. If it was on a different track I probably would have chosen the Lotus.
