Honestly, I think your idea was good, but I think you could've tried a little harder. Maybe editing the picture a little? I also think the text colour was a little harsh for the tone of the picture IMO.

My initial plan was to replace the blue sky with a star filled sky at night but their was too much blueish pixels to get it to work right and it would have looked like a botch job.
I event went as far as to get dark blue pixels but it still looked bad and this is using gimp, if I had photoshop and knew how to use it, it would have been way easier.

Plus the amount of editing is not it I don't think as I have entered with less last few times and was added, and other people have just added small amounts to make it work as well.

Christmas cards in my view should never look busy, just a simple image with light editing.

i have to agree whit you fox but it can look simple but still you had lots of work making it.
look at slzk his and miklads, they do not look verry busy but you can think of how mutch work it took to make them.

But that has had the car removed and put in a new scene which I could do that with GIMP.

I understand what your saying Grayfox, but sometimes to achieve that less is more look, you have to do more, if that makes any sense.....?

I truly believe that had the text been different, it would've had a greater impact IMO.

Keep in mind that the Photoshop Comp has a poll size of 12 entries - most weeks we don't get to 12, so all entries go into the poll. This week we received 14 entries, which meant that the Judge had to choose the poll entries, and so sadly 2 were left out.
