hmm, I'm a bit disappointed mine didn't made it.

Mainly because I see alot of pictures where the cars are just lined up next to each other and don't show much of a fight for positions.
Not that I would claim anyone or you Ceiling_Fan, the pictures are all great and choosing between all those is a painful job.

But, some critics why you didn't chose mine would be nice. Again, I don't want to blame any other shot here.

It looks nice but is there any editing in that picture? It IMO looks like it came straight out of GT5 which may of caused the judge to disallow that shot. To me it sort of defeats the purpose of this competition.

Also there are a lot of great entries up there so I wouldn't feel bad about not making it because your shot is a great shot IMO.

Real sorry guys, both of those shots were on the short list and were painful to cut The reason bmxmitch's shot didn't make the poll was because despite the close racing, I had kind of a tough time figuring out what was really going on (if that makes sense) and I felt the background was distractingly clear, even moreso than cars 1 and 3.

MBS, your shot would have made it if there had been a top 21, I had to resort to nit-picking to finally whittle it down. I really wished the cars had been closer together and would have liked to see a more aggressive angle.

I've never won a GT5 comp before, I never realized how painful it was to snub people from the poll. Sorry again. If you need any more clarification let me know.

I understand what you meant and what your problem was with my pic.
It couldn't really capture the action that was going on in it. Also the background distracts a bit, like you said. Good point.
But I simply had to change it, because my old shot didn't really captured any action. And thats what I want to achieve in this weeks Comp.
Also, I loved the building so much, I couldn't resist
And to help you understand the pic a bit more, I was overtakin the XANAVI pretty rough in this scene. (smoke is from the brakes) I passed him pretty clear from the left and tried to get in front of him in the left corner, but he just crashed in my side with no chance to overtake. Stupid AI
But I should have taken the focus on the Subaru, not on the XANAVI. That would've made only the XANAVI a bit blurry, not the other two.
Anyways, you're right with your point. Its to much goin on in this shot. But hey, I still love it. Especially the building, hehe

I can feel you there. Especially in a 2.0 comp where so many great shots get entered.
But just to let you know, I'm not dissapointed that YOU didnt pic my shot, I'm dissapointed that I didnt enter a shot that could easily gets in the poll.

I did actually edit it quite a bit. I fixed the horrible shadows, messed with the colour balance, contrast and added film grain. Here's the original unedited shot.

Thanks for the feedback. It was kind of hard to line up because I was the one who caused the crash (I'm the car off to the right on the grass.)

Impressed with everyone's entries 👍 👍 A lot of good shots considering it was a pretty tricky theme.

I wound up going for andrea's because it perfectly fit the "vying for first place" atmosphere, you can tell there's a lot of tense slipstreaming going on and it's just perfectly captured 👍👍
