  • Do not vote for your own entry.
  • Have confidence in your photo; don't try to sway the poll.
  • Poll is up until the week's Friday.
  • In the event of a tie, a 24 hour poll is created to end Saturday.
  • In the event of a second tie, judge's vote is deciding factor.
  • Don't forget to vote in both polls during H2H weeks!
  • Winners have 48 hours to get their new theme to the host.
  • If the winner can't provide it in time, the runner-up gets to choose.

Stunning entries. I only managed to make one poll this week, but I'm so glad my picture is standing between all these gorgeous pictures:dunce:

nooo :(
I was hoping to see my RUF in there too. Well, slipz RUF obviously looks way better than mine. So he gets my vote ;)

But I wished I could choose more than one shot. So many great pics, yet again...👍

So many great photos and yet so many different styles in each of them... This is gonna be tough to choose!

+1 I was hope that mine R8 also gonna be here. I voted for first one, but it was really really hard to decide.

The first pic is excellent. But the spoiler is so damn distracting.:ill:
But yeah, it's absolutely annoying to choose between all those gorgeous shots.

Sometimes I wish never to win a 2.0 comp. Because choosing a Top 20 out of all the great entries must be really painful....:scared:

I would like to know why, my entry didn't make the poll:

Because it wasn't dark on my screen.

You might want to check your calibration then, 99% of your images are very dark and only let you see a few details on the car.

Your shot is actually very very well executed and very well composed too, but the theme was 'Europe' and showing a close up of a car doesn't necessarily reflect the theme as well as the others which are all clearly based in Europe and show off the engineering of the cars or the beauty of the locations in full.

It isn't dark on mine display too, but I think that poll images are matter of taste, technical quality is not crucial factor here, but the other aspect. I think that my photo was better than some of images here in poll, but I didn't made it. And that's ok too. Sorry for bad English.

If my monitor, which is based around a Apple monitor was set to a lower setting. Then my shot would be very dark, but my monitor is higher then a dark setting, so a higher brightness level wouldn't make any difference.

Also a contrast level, set to a lower level would lose some contrast. Other then that, one thing I used to calibrate my monitor was using a magazine cover. While tracking down the same cover online.

But isn't the whole idea of your shots that they are dark? The vignetting is always really heavy and picks out details in the middle of the shot...

I didn't add the vignetting, because that is caused by the depth of field and filters at certain levels. Also not all of my shots are dark, because I have seen some shots online by people like Notbland with high contrasts.

And if my monitor was set to a higher level, then it would kill my eyes. Other then that, thanks for the feedback.

in the end, its not about how high or low you brightness is on the computer, its all about the judges taste!

This poll is beyond belief! What a variety and what a quality. Being part of this is a great honour - feels like winning :-) Congrats to all of the "pollists"!

...how are those 2 things related?
Sometimes a high contrast, can make certain areas in a shot a lot more dark. While making other areas, far more brighter.

Along with contrast and exposure, some areas will be darker in certain locations.

Any particular reason why I didn´t make it or was it just too close for me?

Your entry is great. But most of them we're – and didn't make it. Not even Moglet and Fido. So you are in good company :)
For me, your shot shows too little details of the car, and the details of the location may be too blurry ...

It doesn't look overly dark on my monitor.

The background has turned out like lines at a very low resolution blurred out and the banding is excessive. Nice shot but doesn't really play to the theme.

Mine made it, it's the black Audi.

I wanted to use some depth of field, or the background would of killed the shot for me.

Now you know how I felt :D

I felt really bad, because both you and mitch had changed your entries twice, so I couldnt include them in :(

I would like to know why, my entry didn't make the poll:

It wasnt because your photo was too dark, I in fact loved the contrast, it was perfect. The reason I didnt select it was because when it look at its largest size, I couldnt find what part of the car was in focus. And because of the theme, I felt that while the car was a great choice, I didnt see much of the rest of the car or the location that said europe (though I know better). It was close but when I had to only pick 20, I had to make some cuts :(

Any particular reason why I didn´t make it or was it just too close for me?

It was no doubt fantastic photography, like TVR, but with the background and much of the car blurred, it takes away from the theme of this weeks competition. Like TVR, your photo was very great, but because of this weeks theme and the other entries, it didnt make the top 20.

Jason, I PMd SlipZtrEm to ask him about changes cause of HDR. He told that I can make change but only because that current one was ineligible, but it's ok :D Next time will be better :D

What a poll!! No shame in missing the boat on this one. Proud to have made it (mine is the yellow aston martin). The Yellow Ruf and the Frost Grey(?) BMW up top are unconscious.

Not surprised I didn't make it:

Didn't fit the theme very well, but it's because I sort of threw together some editing on a shot I took for the second round of the PMC tourney (but didn't choose)

Okay, I've voted now. This week was really hard to choose. Zambuca's SLS AMG is one of the most photo-realistic pictures I've seen come out of GT5. Great work.
