any comments on why I didn't make it ?

It's always a tough decision to judge which entries make the poll and which don't, but there were a couple of things about yours that - in my opinion - kept it from joining those that made the poll.

• First, I'm just not a fan of the selective color filter - either a shot's black and white, or it's color. That's not a deal-breaker, per se, but it's just my personal preference.
• The biggest reason is the composition of the shot. That's not the Subie's most flattering angle, and it shows. (You'll see only one shot of the rear-end made the poll - third from the top - and that made it because it shows great movement and includes a great part of the environment).
• Finally, when you get that close to the model, the polygons make themselves obvious - see the edges of the 'round' muffler and the cutout in the bumper? For me, one of the things that makes a great shot is when the photographer composes the image in such a way as to avoid the things that make it obvious it came from a game. In yours, it was the reverse - the thing that jumped out most was the polygonal nature of the muffler, and that took away from what was a decent shot. The two close-up shots that made the poll did a good job of avoiding this problem.
