to be honest , i should have send my entry , i thought you guys will do it better :P

i did some pics with my nsxR but decided not to enter because i didn´t like them much ....it´s not easy to do vertical with the nsxR

Bummed you could simply rotate pictures taken in Landscape format like the 2nd one of the Yellow NSX, I could have come up with a much better entry had I known that would be allowed...

seems red was the right color choice for the NSX this week! :P jk
that was mine btw:

hope I send it to the right person though....
also, got any reasons why mine didn't made it ziggedzag?

I didn't get it so I presume ziggedzag did. Nice shot though. :)

thanks alot guys! :)
I also thought of taking this or that one. But I couldn't decide again....well well. Next week should be fun though. Maybe I choose the right one then ;)
And thankfully I didn't made the same mistake again, haha...

Also, nice Entries everyone:tup:

I think I would have voted for bmxmitch's photo too

:) same goes for your shot! You got my "unofficial" vote:)
Love how the trees look in your pic.

Seems like Ziggedzag didn't had an easy job this week!

No, y'all really didn't make it easy for me.

Not sure exactly what it was about bmxmitch's entry that didn't work for me. Perhaps the background being so sharp and the car being so dark. Good shot though. I really like the head on shot you almost used. The red wheels in the other... not so much. Maybe just me? If it makes you feel any better I went back and forth on it several times and even got the wife involved (not that she was the final say ;)

Missed out too, not complaining though :sly: I wasn't 'feeling' it with my shot anyway... had my doubts so no hard feelings on my part.
Well done to all who made the poll 👍

Thanks alot for your reply! I had the same issues you had with my pic. ;)
But I couldn`t made it brighter. Otherwise the sky would've looked way to bright and the balance of the shot would've been of.
I also thought I use a sharp image this time. I used so much bokehs the last weeks, I had to make a change this time ;)
But maybe the other one would've worked better though. And the red rims? Yeah, they're questionable, haha

ninja edit: thanks alot ashes! :)

I'd have voted for this...

Me too.. I had a shot very similar to this but I thought I would save it since it looked much better with some editing. Still, I managed to make it up to the poll again so I'm satisfied again this week. :)

Now if I can just manage to win one....

Good luck because I'm slowly discovering if you're not pro status at photomode you'll rarely get votes let alone win...

Thats why we started this competition. Because people thought the way you do. ;)
But it still doesn't have to do anything with a status or amount of posts you have here. If the shot isn't good enough, you can even be Chuck Norris and wont get a single vote. It has nothing to to with being pro or not, trust me....

I don't think that's quite true, although there does sometimes seem to be bias towards the "big hitters' entries (That's kinda why the Secret Santa comp started up). At the end of the day an exceptional entry will win regardless of who submits it. Actually the main point is the judges tastes as to who makes the poll in the first place and this is probably the point at which any bias to certain members will be most felt.
With this in mind I've actually been toying with the idea of modifying the SSC comp so that all entries are PMed to me and then I host the entries and (anonymously post in the comp thread) from where the judge chooses the poll entries without knowing whose they are.

I'm certainly not a comp big hitter or a photomode pro and I've gotten several entries previously in competitions and its only my third week of entering 👍

I have won a comp and I was no where near "pro" status (at least that is what I believe). I still don't believe I am but I usually make at least one poll each week and get at least a couple of votes.

But I sort of see where you are coming from. These people are at "pro" status for a reason. They always put up great shots which is why you may not be getting the amount of votes you desire.

To be perfectly honest, I am going through a bit of a rough time and I have been experimenting a little in my gallery. I post up my favorites and see what it is compared to others if they post theirs because it seems what I like the most isn't always what others like.

We may have a tie so I thought I would "bump" this thread up to hopefully get more voters. It's a bit disappointing that despite the 2.0 polls being put up a bit late, it already has 20 more voters.

I really don't understand the lack of votes or even entries in this contest. The Secret Santa has the best odds at winning a competition by far.

I think as has been previously mentioned the votes may be lower for this contest as it's not stickied like the others are so it drops down the list a bit, which is sad as there's always great photos up here

@Soloracer3 - I would skicky the poll if I could but I believe only a moderator can do that. I might ask SlipZ if the SSC Poll can be stickied each week but I have the feeling that is only for the official GTPlanet comps - which this isn't - yet.

I've actually been toying with the idea of modifying the SSC comp so that all entries are PMed to me and then I host the entries and (anonymously post in the comp thread) from where the judge chooses the poll entries without knowing whose they are.
Not only will this make the competition truly anonymous but I think will increase interest and participation.
I'm interested to know what you all think of modifying the comp this way, there are pros and cons to it as I see it.

Pros
) The weekly comp thread will be much more interesting with the entries posted in it.
) As a result more people are likely to follow (and enter) it.
) I would then expect a higher level of interest (and votes) in the poll.
) It will be slightly less confusing having the entries PMed to the same person (me) every week.

Cons
) It could be more likely for noobs to post the entry directly to the thread.
) It could also be more likely for people to accidently reference to their entry during the comp.
) It will be more labour intensive for me (I can live with that though)
) It will significantly change the dynamic of the comp, whereby at present nobody knows what anyone else has submitted so you must rely on your own ideas/composition etc.. without taking cues from other entries. This I see as the biggest con.

I guess it depends on how much you value the "mystery" element of the competition as to whether we change it or not.
I will post a poll with Week 10's competiton so you can vote for a change or to keep the status quo.

If you wanted to avoid some of the cons you could always do a sort of forwarding service. Entries would be sent to you and you could forward the images to the judge. That keeps the mystery and keeps people from posting in the thread (for the most part :sly: ).

Of course, it's still just as much work for you... :mischievous:

Thanks for the feedback DigitalBaka, that's something I've thought about doing in the future when/if this comp grows in participation as it could be difficult for Judges to manage their 50 PM limit if we are getting that sort of number of entries. It's no problem for me and other premium members as we have a 2000 PM limit, so I could then forward entries in batches of 5 or 6 to make it easier for the Judge.
