For this week, GOTMAXPOWER wants "a battle of Classic and Modern cars", a battle that, in this case, can only happen in poll. For this H2H week of the Photomode Competition, you have to team up to either revive the classics, or show up some modern technology.

Voted for the old one. Even though the new pics where great too, I felt that the level of the old pictures in the poll was a level higher then the new pictures.

The Vette. looks classic. 👍
But i'm more to modern shoots.

That Vette looks amazing, It's really got a 60's feel to it. The 908 is good, but just not as good.

I would have voted for the vette, but the racing tires killed it for me. Vote went to 908.

I also give it too the vette, the 908 is a great picture however the vette just has this great feel to it and the plane is the backround is just brilliant.

The plane ruins it for me It's a shame because my first impression is it's a fantastic shot, but the plane's just too distracting.

Hmmm i voted for both these pics in their respective threads. Said at the time though the only thing i didn't like was the plane so i guess i got no choice & have to vote for the racer

Alright, sticking my oar in, the plane is what makes that shot work. Its of the same era as the car so helps define it as part of the old guard - which was the brief after all. Put the car in front of a modern building and it'll just look out of place.

The 908? I'm bewildered. I felt there were better shots than that which didn't even make the final poll. Someone care to explain why it seems so popular?

It's simple - we all see things differently, the plane makes it for you, but ruins it for me. Why is the 908 picture popular? No reason, just more people liked it than the other pictures. Each person would probably give you a different reason. For me personally it's all about the car heading towards the light (a brighter future.) It sets off my imagination, I can just picture a line of cars trailing into the darkness behind it, an older model each time.

The other entry, to me, is a beautiful car with a big old plane dumped behind. Doesn't mean I'm right - it's all subjective.

Ps, I don't think pictures currently involved in a voting process should be used for other parts of the site (908 in the news section.) I think it's a little unfair.
