I doubt my r8 LMS will get more than 3 vote.

Unfortunately not mine...

I don't think anyone is complaining about the selection, except for the rule breaker. It's just confusing that an image with near perfect composition and lighting failed to make it and yet a basic snapshot that was against the rules did!

But the judge's decision is final and that's that. Good luck to everyone who got through.

Thanks for the votes first attempt at a comp. can't decide if it is beginners luck or whether I have an eye for this artistic stuff.

Making a preview and a link to the full-size image isn't that hard. There's a tutorial that you have clearly ignored even when it was a reply to your post in the entry thread. It's inexcusable, but somehow you still make a poll. Whatever. I give up.

I think I started of off the wrong foot here. I was at work this morning and I was a little itchy about the comments of me judging. Sorry!

So, the reason that I did not picked your photo was because I find that there are too many things going on in that shot. A chrome painted merc with all the reflections is just not my thing you know. The composition was great but overall it could not convince me. Maybe if you showed a little more of the car it would change the subject and who knows...

I think I'll have to finally bite the bullet and ask for some constructive criticism.

Okay, fair enough! I think it's very difficult to shoot non-premium cars in GT5 and get a good or excellent photo. Look at the grill of that BMW, all the lines of the car, they look like they where painted with MS Paint.
Yes I know we have to blame PD but still I could not let that 'bad pixelated' photo through. You could have taken the shot from a wider angle so that you would not see the bad modelling or you could have used a filter to make that shot even more special. But nice try man, I can appreciate the DTM's in the comp.

That was my first reaction, and it still makes me go *evil laugh* when I see it.
I like the idea but there are so many things in that frame that make me decide not to let it through. Look at those trees, I'm sorry PD but shame on you! Or even better, 2D people... *sigh*

No reason to be mad. That DTM shot from bmxmitch is really astonishing. Showing that it is possible to make it in to the poll and even get 7 votes, hopefully a lot more to come!
The other DTM shots where just not on the same level, no offense.

And about the other 22 gazillion R8 / SLS photos: as long as it's German, they are legitimate.

If you want DTMs then win a comp and make a DTM only comp. The frustrating thing about DTMs are that they are all standard cars and nothing against them, it just limits your creative options.

I'd be quite disappointed if a judge picked their Top 30 based on which cars were in the picture, as opposed to whether or not it's a good picture.

Yeah, TTD's errors were a pain in the thread, but in the end, he did post a legal entry, and Dennis selected it. So I fail to see the problem.

I'm not talking about the age of participants, but about their attitudes. Chill out people. If there is no DTM, there's no DTM.

The DTM Cars are Standards, Rare, and Expensive. While most of the SLS/R8 are premium, readily available, and cheap compared to the DTM.

Its always hard to compete with a standard car. And I'm sure, if the DTM's would've been premium, the poll would be full of those.

btw, I wasnt really expecting to get in the poll. I somehow don't like the sky in my shot.

The funniest thing is that i'm bilinguist. That means my native languages are 2 (lithuanian and russian), and third language that i'm using is english, and yes, sometimes i do mistakes. How many languages do you use?
