Wow gotmaxpower, we use the same car, almost in the same angle! Best of luck to you.

Fantastic photos from everyone, this one was a little easier to vote on than the 2.0 side however.

You can talk about other entries, your and your match is not advised before the poll closes, as it can be considered swaying, if deem necessarily.

Haha, nice one guys.👍

And awesome Entries everyone! Jason's and Sar593's shots are absolutely gorgeous!

Nice shot Jason, beautiful use of the miniature. My chances are bleak going up against that.

I am looking forward to the critique, I think that's my favourite part of the tourney.

Thank you! I had a ton of sepia filtered shots that looked more realistic but the zoom in with the miniature gave it a dreamy feel. That and getting 3 red white and blues in one shot.

I can't see myself coming back either. Congrats Jason, I said it in season one and I'll say it now - there is no one else I would rather lose to. Once again you have not only proved to be a creative and talented photographer, but also are a class act and a great guy. Kudos to you, now go win this thing.

Wow thanks everyone for your votes so far :D I hadn't expected to do this well at this stage, I really appreciate all your votes and views :) 👍

Thank you everyone for the votes again.

Seriously a great shot. The colors all work together seamlessly.

Thank you very much. I hope we go at it again in the next one. It's been fun and you've been a class act both battles as well.

Now it's time to Defend the Cup!

My gallery has been updated with the 60's shots. https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?p=5944714#post5944714

Reviews!

Round 1: I knew the LFA would show up in this round! Soloracer's shot doesn't show off as much of the colour as Murcie's, and I like the latter's use of the runway lights as leading lines, like that hot pink Lexus is about ready for take-off, but Solo's shot counters with a more interesting background. It's a pretty shot, if not terribly adventurous, but it works, and the car seems to be in sharper focus than the LFA. The exaggerated height of the wing thanks to the low zoom also is a point of interest, so Soloracer nabs the vote for me for this one!

Round 2: Finally, a good use for the miniature filter! Jason almost gets the vote for me just on that alone! But, TH counters with a very interesting portrait orientation, with a well-defined Alfa taking on a European mountain switchback. That location is what made the decision for me; the whole image that TH provided felt more homogenous, more a product of the 60's. As great as Jason's shot is with the sharpness of the Cobra, it's location between the cars, and even the red, white, and blue of it all, the angle and that empty space up in the top right meant I just didn't ID with it as much as TH's shot. Both very excellent, and the hardest choice I had in PMC, however.

Round 3: Not entirely sure what happened here, if I can be honest. GMP has had some amazing pictures over the past few weeks, but the Audi isn't much in focus, and the motion blur paired with that makes for a very unusual picture from him. Sar's isn't his best either, as it is definitely over-exposed, but the decent proper focus it has and good composition meant it was a relatively easy choice.

Round 4: Two heavyweights battle it out! Gtuned takes an early lead with one of my absolute favourite cars of all time. The composition is great, the focal blur is interesting, it all works. But it feels slightly over-exposed thanks to the wheels, and I'm not sure if cross-processing was a good idea. 725's appeals because of that insanely crisp lead car, and the sense of action, of it being hunted down by its twin. Then I realize it... 725's in the chase car, with his lights on! Run, lead car, run!. But anywho, it also has a very nice composition, that turn barrier really helping in this case, so it just pips the vote for me. Well done to both of you!

Thank you SlipZ, even if you didn;t vote for me. I'm always more interested in why I didn't get those 19 votes than why I did get 52.

The corners were the only thing I didn't like about this shot as well. I knew that was the car positioning I wanted unfortunately I was using to standards and we all know of the zoom issues. I really wanted the cars to fall off the corners so that is where the weird angle comes into play.

My gallery has the shots I didn't go with.

Thank you for the votes everyone. Once again TH was a class act to compete against. Best wishes to everyone in the semi finals!

Thanks SlipZ, I knew after I submitted the shot the lack of a very vivid pink may let me down a little. As you have said Murcie's shot is very good and I am surprised that I won by such a large margin. I shall try and do a more adventurous shot for the next round, I think getting this far using three Toscana shots has been quite lucky  Thanks for the vote and the review :)

Great reviews Slipz always nice to hear thoughts on the pics to see if they match my own. I didn't really like my entry and was sure Gtuned would have beat me I had a few which I couldn't decide with, I'm glad you noticed I was the chase car  Thanks for all the votes guys 👍 Unlucky Gtuned I'm sure you would have beat me any other time

Thanks for the review Slipz, feedback is always welcome. On my tv the pictures didnt look so over-exposured, but now I know I need to have this in mind for the next time, there is always room for improvement.

Congrats to all who got through, some unique shots and some surprises this round. Official scores are now accounted, semi-final is up and running, make sure to check your theme. :)

Thanks Slip, that is exactly what I was trying to go for - a shot that looked like it was taken in the sixties but I really haven't found a way to make the sepia pop and b&w shots rarely fare well against colour in these polls. I wanted simple soft colours for the background to contrast a sharp car. I am still quite happy with my shot, beauty is in the eye and all that.

Thanks Jason, your shot was great, best of luck to you in the semis.
