If I'm correct thats the Pagini Zonda R?
And as far as I know it isn't road legal.
I may be wrong but I'm convinced it the Zonda R!
Rally cars are road legal, er... otherwise they wouldn't be allowed on the public road. If you owned a WRC you could drive it to the shops if you fancied it. It's just a shame no one ever does!
thats a closed course where cars are dropped on location. There are some events that allow F1s to drive on the road but it is for promotional things. Rally cars have to drive on real roads and in traffic (if need be) to get from stages to pit or vice versa sometimes nearly 100mi though im not sure if there is a deal made to allow them to do so or if they actually are fully road legal. Near me there is a rally where the start is 1.5hrs (80-100mi) away from the main staging location and the pits are 5-10miles away as well. (Almost watched Pastrana stall out trying to get on the road after a clutch issure on one stage.) Its a fair question I would say.
tut¡t¡n;4890420i love it
First thing i thought of when I saw the theme was my Skyline; annoyed about the pixelation around the spoiler but I think it came out quite well. I couldn't decide between this and another i took
As I said, although rally cars have to be registered and homologated, they can be used on public roads only when participating in an approved racing event. And when moving from stage to stage or pits, they have to use given connectig routes (although they are going in full traffic of course).
their are soooo many cars you guys can use for the comp, why not use one of them!? Just sayin.....
btw, a rally car wouldn´t look nice on those tracks....
ohh, and the Viper! Sorry, but NO photo-travel allowed in this weeks comp!
They can be used on public roads whenever you like. If a car is to be used on a public road that is open, it has to comply with all the regulations for that country's road network, including lights, plates and a tax disc. Therefore, it is road legal (even if it's not strictly speaking a road car) so can be driven on the road at any time.
Also homologation has nothing to do with road illegality/legality.
When we had proper rallies, like the old-school Lombard RAC Rally, cars used to drive all around the country, no special dispensation is made for rally cars, that's why they get done for speeding all the time.
I can double check with a mate of mine who commentates on the IRC if you like, but they are fully road legal.
