First round of Season 05 of The Photomode Tournament. Make sure you understand the theme requirements of your match.

UNIQUE RESTRICTIONS: Car has to have clearly visible damage dealt to it.

Take a photo of any car with a Z in its name
CARS: Any with a Z in it's name
LOCATIONS: Any
PHOTOTRAVEL: Yes
UNIQUE RESTRICTIONS: Only cars with a z in the name, the z can be anywhere in the name (i.e Fairlady Z, Tommy Kaira ZZ, Honda Z act , etc.,)

try to get a killer shot of brakes whether they're glowing hot or not!

Take a picture of a NASCAR in the pits using the photo travel mode

Shoot an all black car during the evening, but only using panning mode 1.
CARS: Any
LOCATIONS: Any with time change/evening

UNIQUE RESTRICTIONS: Car must be all black (rims included) and you must use panning mode 1 (show movement).

Take a shot of some cars/a car taking advantage of the slipstream effect
CARS: Any race car (except Nascar)
LOCATIONS: Any

UNIQUE RESTRICTIONS: No Nascar races / No daytona, Indy, TRM or SSX ovals.

Take a road car (or more than one) that is manufactured by a manufacturer and tuned by its official performance division (e.g. BMW's M, Mercedes' AMG or Nissan's Nismo) to a real-world track
CARS: Only cars tuned by the official performance department of a manufacturer, which means cars tuned by other tuners (e.g. HKS, Blitz, Spoon) are not allowed.

Take a shot of your Citroen GT in a tunnel.

Take a shot of 1 racing car attacking an Apex at high speed
CARS: Race cars
LOCATIONS: Any real world circuits

Set focal length to 85mm, the aperture to 1.4 and take shot
CARS: Any
LOCATIONS: Any
PHOTOTRAVEL: Yes

This Thread will answer many possible questions you may have.

All entries must be submitted by P.M. to Nicknamealguem . Please, fill in the following form:

Private Message Requirements:

Entry Requirements:

• It is recommended you host your image on ImageShack, Photobucket or Flickr.
• Not sure how to post a thumbnail or preview image? Read this sticky!
  
• One entry per user. It must be your own work, and never previously used in a competition;
• Do not ask other users to choose your entry;
• Entries may not be changed after submitting;
• All entries within the rules will go into poll;
• You may not post your image elsewhere, until the poll closes down, nor add any identifying element to it.
• The Host may ask for the original image and it must be submitted if so.
  It's recommended to save the original image (preferably in-game) until week's ends.

• No post-GT5 editing, besides proportionally resize and rotate, is allowed.

What you may not do to a photo:

• Alter the geometry of the car. No stickers, or body modifications not available in game.
• Add shapes or objects from outside of GT5, signatures excepted.
• Add lens flares or "artistic" filters to image.
• Remove items from shot (scenery, other cars).
• Use more than 1 image (HDR, photo-stitching, multi-exposure).
• "Creative cropping". The main "image" must be four-sided, with 90-degree, upright corners.
• Selective car colour changing: masking different parts to create racing stripes or similar.

What you may do to a photo:

• Crop and/or resize an image.
• Adjust the level or curve values.
• Alter the colour tone of the image (gradient maps, photo filters, colour balance, etc).
• Car body colour change (all stickers/design features must remain, see "Remove Items" rule).
• Adjust brightness, contrast, exposure, shadow/highlights.
• Enhance shadows or highlights (dodge and burn tools in Photoshop, for example).
• Add noise and/or diffuse glow.
• Add a post-game tilt-shift blur, or apply a motion blur to a stationary Photomode shot.
• Make use of Layer Blend Modes.
• Use a Sharpening filter and/or tool.
• Scale or enlarge rims.
• Remove or modify license plates.
• Remove the GT watermark.
• Clean up or fix jaggies, texture pixelation, or colour separation.
• Add a vignette effect.
• Add a personal signature.

I LOLed when I saw it. That and bmxmitch having it's revange somehow, since he as a easy one car theme and I have difficult two cars theme (not that I have any fault on it).

This banners give a little extra work because of the themes descriptions, that's one of the reasons it took so long to post round one. That and I still had to make them. But let's see if they serve their purpose.

Edit: Oh and probably someone got their own theme. Sorry, but I really can't help it, they are allot, they are all saved in a word document and they are all randomized. It's just too much to see who posted what theme.

Thank god I have an easier theme this time. Although I was prepared for another 2car theme. I saved so many replays lately from seasonals and 2 Player games. I could've done thousands of themes with them, haha.

Ohh, and btw, does my/our theme require opened headlights? So, the focus needs to be on them? It#s not that clear described IMO.

As I understood the theme and as it will stay, the focus goes on the car that has pop-up headlights, but they must be hidden, not open.

Does this disallow static shots.. It only says use panning 1 .. but it doesn't state motion is a must... and also it doesn't have to be a full on night shot.. just a late evening/dusk shot.. Am I correct?

Good question. Yes, it HAS to be evening/dusk, but not full night. Also, I am going to add the movement part since it doesn't make sense without it.

Too bad that you can't move around freely.
The camera locations are so restricted and it's actually kinda hard to take a decent shot. You are not able to stop the scene either.
Gonna be interesting!
