Ok, my dad comented to me on this car about a week ago. Here's his story:

Well, I was on my way out to my car from work, and I see this really ugly car pulling out of the parking lot just as I'm getting into my Altima. At first, I think nothing of it, but when I get to the toll booth, this car is right in front of me. The first thing I notice is how huge the wheels are. Seriously, you could fit your sister in one of them (5'2). But then as I continue looking over the car, I notice how it's brown, and the back is curved to the ground. i think 'What an ugly car!' as it pulls into the booth. My mind then makes the connection: this car = a cockroach. I drive the whole length of the highway near this car, and it's looking more and more like a cockroach...

That's what he said. We did some research laer and found that it's an Infiniti FX45. What do you think about it?

See pics of the cockroach/car

Me likey very much !.... Even in brown I think it looks balls... I'm not an SUV guy, but this has something to it... Kinda Evil.. Dunno... Me likey..

We've discussed the merits of the Infiniti FX45 and twin Nissan Murano in various threads before:

Although I don't like the styling of either vehicle, I love Nissan's recent market attitude; they've began making money again due in part to all their new models.

hey these cars aren't that bad, the new micra is much worse (dont know what its called outside of the UK), they are japanese after all. you know, maybe some day a japanese company will allow a european designer into their project rooms and create a series of cars that are not only functional and reliable but beautiful too! and i dont mean crap like the mitsubishi shogun pininfarina, they should send british designers down there, people from aston martin or tvr or something :D

Suzuki's next two US-market sedans, the Forenza and Verona, were both designed by Pininfarina. They aren't beautiful, but definitely not ugly:

Ditto. 👍 I like some of their cars' styling, I don't like some of them, but I'm just happy that they're not making bland-mobiles like they did only several years ago. Man, Nissan had to be one of the most boring car companies of the mid-90s... Now, they're one of the few companies that has had the guts to totally revise their entire car line (barring the Sentra). Go Nissan!

Lol....Well that shows how much the opinion of your old man adds up to!...Nah..j/k...I still like the car/suv/wagon though

I think it's funny that if I had to choose, I'd pick the Nissan over the Infiniti anyday. The Nissan is sleek, clean and simple. THe Infiniti looks like somebody tried very hard to make something very stylish, got frustrated, and quit while they were no longer ahead. As opposed as I am to SUVs like these on principle, the Murano is a very stylish, attractive design that grows on me more and more. The Infiniti just gets funnier, especially knowing what people paid for that tacky eyesore.

Except for the bit in red, I couldn't agree more. I just can't like the screwed-up proportions on the Murano, and that cow-catcher-meets-angry-appliance nose just has to go.

The interior in both vehicles is nice, but I really wonder why Nissan felt they needed another SUV, considering they've already got the Xterra and Pathfinder. I suppose the Murano is somehow in between the two.

No..Nissan is just trying to get a more firm grip on the SUV market, and I gaurentee that car is only offered in 2 counties...And I bet you can guess what one of those two are..Hint: WE BUY SUV'S!

Yeah - so why do they force Canada to ingest it?
