colin's future????

I've heard (and this is unoffical) that Colin will be working in McDonalds next year. He said in an interview with a respected Botswana Rally magazine that "the lure of hamburgers and customer service is strong and a career change was in my stars for next year".

Would you like Coke and fries with that?

Well, given that he's been on > $4m for the last four years, I don't think that that is actually true.

I'd to see him in "stock" cars. Otherwise he should pair up with Nicky Grist at SPEED channel for the broadcasts they do. Hey it'd be a bigger paycheck than a fast food restaurants.

I'd heard the Rally Raid rumours as well. Since he's won the Safari twice, it might not be that dim a move.

Sleek Stratos: If you're getting Nicky Grist on Speed, you're getting the standard "Dave Richards" TV package. This should be a half-hour show for each day of the rally. It's what's shown in Europe on Eurosport. Britain's Channel 4 use the pictures, but add in their own editing and sound.

Well Nicky has on all the Speed gear on when I see him on Speed channel (along with Penny Malory) so I thought that he had some sort of deal with them. He's a busy guy nowadays whatever may be his case.

As for Colin in Dakar, I did hear about that and right now it's seems like quite the possibility, even more than him staying in the WRC next year.
