Collecting rewards from freeplay Forza Motorsport 7

My son has been playing in freeplay and tells me that you should be able to go to the rewards screen by pressing the A button. This doesn't seem to work and it kicks him out of the game. Can someone please tell us what we are doing wrong? Has the short cut key changed, or is there some other way he can access his rewards? Thank you for your help.

Don't want to sound rude... maybe he glitched the game too much. I must admit I was tempted and have glitched the rewards two times collecting 10 rewards, maybe. Than my game start crashing when trying to collect the rewards. So I deleted the save file. Waited the cloud sinc. Now everything seem.... ok.

I think you need to go to the main menu then the progress section which is where the rewards are stored

Is your son playing with rental cars, by any chance? If he uses rental cars in free play he won't earn credits or XP, and after the race is finished the game will simply return to the main menu or continue to the next race after the podium screen. Only cars bought with credits can be used to earn rewards in free play.
