It's the first full week of November. November can be a sad time for us college football fans because the regular season is coming to an end.

Introduction
The You Decide deal usually involves the political race between Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. A number of issues are presented ranging from gay marriage to the war in Iraq and other issues. Just look at the general name of "You Decide." You decide who will win each game.

NOTE: For this week only, each heading for games will start with "You Decide." Each game heading will be more of topics than newspaper-style headlines. Hope you like this deal I've put together.

Here is a sample score I've put together regarding the unique headline format:

--- Sample Report ---
You Decide: Football Supremacy in the Lone Star State
* Texas A&M {Aggies} at Texas {Longhorns} --- RIVALRY GAME: Lone Star Showdown ---
(yy-xx; -winner-)

Here are your BCS standings:

01 - Ohio State!
02 - Louisiana State
03 - Oregon
04 - Kansas!
05 - oklahoma

06 - Missouri
07 - West Virgina
08 - Boston College
09 - Arizona State
10 - Georgia

11 - Virginia Tech
12 - Michigan <<< Joey D's boys
13 - Connecticut
14 - Texas
15 - Florida
16 - Hawaii/Hawai'i!
17 - Southern California
18 - Auburn
19 - Virginia
20 - Boise State
21 - Clemson
22 - Alabama
23 - Pennsylvania State (am I one of the few who call them Pennsylvania State?)
24 - Tennessee
25 - Kentucky <<< FoolKiller's boys

I have scores and an NFL Focus. The week begins the way I love it- in Texas... and in Houston! Make yourselves at home in my home town and home state.

--- Division 1: Bowl Subdivision Scores ---

You Decide: Non-BCS Kings of Texas
* Southern Methodist {Mustangs} at Houston {Cougars}
Welcome to my hometown of Houston, Texas! It's a city of about 4.1 million people from various places around the world. We have a diverse population here. I've known a bunch of folks from Latin America, some Europeans, some Africans, some Middle Eastern folk, and a garden variety of Asian folk. Houston boasts the largest Vietnamese population in the state of Texas, and third most in the nation. But no matter who you come across, one thing is certain about Texas- it's football country. We know football here in Texas since we've had the Houston Oilers (before moving out to Nashville), "Friday Night Lights" filmed at the Astrodome, "The Junction Boys" focusing in on a Texas A&M squad in the 1950s, and more. Then of course, we have the Houston Texans who desperately need to win. This is a classic battle of an intra-state showdown. It's Houston vs. Dallas- a popular rivalry here in Texas. In the NBA, you have my Rockets vs. the Dallas Mavericks. You have the Texas Rangers of Arlington against the Astros in baseball. You got Irving's Dallas Cowboys up against my Houston Texans. F.C. Dallas and the Houston Dynamo. And in college, Southern Methodist University vs. the University of Houston. SMU first. Southern Methodist University has a football team with all the makings of a team that could dominate all the time. Unfortunately, the Mustangs haven't had too much success. Not recently, anyways. They have one win and seven losses ready to meet a Houston team that just keeps on keeping on. Now let's meet Houston. The University of Houston was one of the teams in the classic Southwest Conference. You could see teams like Houston and Texas A&M and Texas all going at it. Houston's men's basketball team been to five Final Fours and two championship games (losing both to North Carolina State and Georgetown). The football team has had a long list of quarterback talent including David Klingler, Andre Ware, and recently, Kevin Kolb. The Cougars want nothing more but to keep Art Briles' job safe. While Briles has taken his Coogs to four Bowl Games in five seasons, he has yet to win a Bowl Game. We got Dallas' SMU. We got Houston's U. of Houston. Let 'em go at it! Let's get it on- TEXAS style!

NASCAR may be racing at Texas Motor Speedway this weekend, but we're going to have ourselves quite a collision course here in Houston as Houston tries to defend home turf. They are the defending Conference USA West and Conference USA overall champions. Phil Bennett will no longer coach the Mustangs after this year. The Mustangs stomped on our beautiful scarlet and white logo. Traditionally, teams that stomp on the other team's logo get their asses handed to. Houston runs a 3-4 defense. SMU basically drove the ball down the field past Houston's defense. They take only 2:59 off the clock and pull some amazing deep passes. The score is 7-0 for the Dallas-based SMU outfit. Houston came back on the next drive even with "Quick Six" LaMarcus Aldrige. It's an old-fashioned Texas shootout between two of Texas' largest cities. I personally have never been to Dallas to actually know how big Dallas is. The 'Stangs retook the lead on 4:43 left in the First Quarter. SMU set the pace pretty early, but Houston would make a comeback down 14-7 to the Mustangs. SMU got blanked in the Second Quarter as Houston led 31-14 against the Mustangs. SMU added 7 to their tally as it's now 31-21. Coogs still lead, but now by ten. Houston fails to score again as SMU cashes in another touchdown. They add one to make it 31-28. The game ended as Houston's campaign looks great heading into their next match as they'll face Tulsa next. (38-28; HOUSTON)

(no FCS scores - starts )

(no Division 2 scores - starts Thursday)

--- Division 3 Scores ---
Some matches were postponed. So let's get this!

* Bridgewater State at Massachusetts Maritime {Buccaneers} (38-31; Bridgewater State)
* Plymouth State at Salve Regina {Seahawks} (21-0; Plymouth State)

--- NFL Focus ---
I normally start with the Houston Texans since they are my hometown team. But since they have a Bye Week next week, I'll have to find more teams to start off the NFL Focus with. Also, a more important game is on tap. So let's start NFL Focus.

This Would Be the Super Bowl if They Weren't in the Same Division
* New England Patriots at Indianapolis Colts
Both are 7-0. One will no longer be. Let's find out who. Now here in Houston, I have more regional action as the Texans took on the Raiders. So unfortunately, I won't be seeing this game. The Colts led the Pats late, but the Boston-area boys got it done, putting Peyton Manning to shame... or at least shaking it off. (24-20; New England Patriots)

Texans Would Love a Win Heading into Their Bye Week
* Houston Texans at Oakland Raiders
Oakland has been pathetic after they lost a Super Bowl to Tampa Bay about four years ago. ESPN (and others) love to knock on Houston teams (except the Rockets), so I'm going to do this with a 50.5% Houston bias. The Texans survived the impact of the Black Hole as they left the Bay Area with a win. See? You don't have to hate Houston or Texas teams if you don't want to. (24-17; Houston Texans)

Denver's Better than Detroit. Was it the Case Today?
* Denver Broncos at Detroit Lions
MoTown never had it this good. With 5 minutes left in the game... DETROIT leading 44-0! Can you believe this s:censored:? The game ended as Detroit won this one BIG. If I was doing MOST DISAPPOINTING LOSS for the NFL, I'd give OWNAGE OF THE WEEK as well as MOST DISAPPOINTING LOSS for this pathetic Broncos performance. They were fortunate that they got a consolation touchdown. (44-7; DETROIT LIONS)

"Ocho Cinco" Ready to Run All Over Buffalo
Chad Johnson got whacked hard in this game with about 1:53 left in the game. He gave up his body to catch the ball when two Bills came at Chad. He ended up on a stretcher as Cincinnati trailed 33-21 to Buffalo. That's how it ended. (33-21; BUFFALO BILLS)

Did You Remember to Set Your Clocks BACK One Hour?
Daylight Saving Time is done. Even as I overslept in giving you all Saturday scores, I still had an extra hour to get it done. But by the time I fell asleep while recording Division 2 highlights, the STANDARD time was 5:50 AM Sunday morning. I don't go all night online. A new day begins (for me) at 6:00 AM. Something about Daylight Saving Time and when it ends... it seems like I have more time to do something as opposed to time being milked greatly during DST. Set your clocks back one hour if you haven't done so already.

Any Beats of Rage Players?
I haven't played Beats of Rage in a while. If you're thinking "Streets of Rage," then "Beats of Rage" is a freeware game in the mold of the popular Streets of Rage series. I have Beats of Rage on my computer with Final Fight: Apocalypse as my favorite mod. My favorite beat-em-up of all time is Final Fight 3 because of some of the hard-hitting action including the ability to perform sick combos. It's called Final Fight Tough in Japan. And what's Streets of Rage called in Japan? Right- Bare Knuckle.

John Likes Cooler Weather
Cooler weather is football weather. It also happens to be a time of year I get to truly enjoy. I'd probably be at liberty to say that Houston can be pretty nice here in cooler times. We can be very hot here in the Summer. Thing is, it can be quite cool here. Sometimes very cold. Want some perspective? Well, I have a friend from Iowa who moved down to Houston because she has family here as well as the fact that it can be quite cold in Iowa. Seems like a strong cold front's coming to Houston late Monday coming into Tuesday morning.

I may profile a profile a few schools outside of FBS. I may think about taking a look at McNeese State and two Division 2 schools in the state of Pennsylvania... with city names bearing two different states. You'll learn more in my next report. Take care, everyone!

I just think that Kansas is having a great season. I've always been critical of Kansas football because it's been a pathetic program for years. It used to be that Kansas State was almost always better than Kansas in football. But look at it this way- Louisville's usually been better than Kentucky in football. But didn't Kansas beat Kansas State? Didn't Kentucky beat Louisville? I'm a little more sold now on Kentucky than before I eventually got to know FoolKiller. To me, I've yet to truly transistion to Kansas... in football at least. Before Mark Mangino's run at Kansas, Kansas' last Bowl Game was the Aloha Bowl in 1995. They beat UCLA 51-30. Kansas has been successful before, but as I get to know High-Test a little more... I still don't really buy Kansas at this point. Sorry for the rather rough view on Kansas football. I still think Kansas needs to beat Missouri to show they're for real.

As a real point of concern, what if Kansas AND Missouri lose their respective next games? Kansas and Mizzou are going to have a real score to settle. Kansas is surely a real surprise story. Thing is, I'm not truly sold because I still think this is the Kansas team that would be an easy win in sports other than basketball. But if Kansas can get it done... by the way... can you imagine if (someone has to be SERIOUSLY convinced) Kansas went unbeaten, won the Big XII Championship, LSU loses their SEC Championship game, leapfrogs LSU for 2nd place... and plays Ohio State in New Orleans for the National Championship? Can you imagine that?

So let me ask you cats... is Kansas for real?

Kentucky doesn't even play a game and we get back into the rankings. I think I have decided that the polls don't know what to do with Kentucky.

It's Election Day, America! To have some fun on this day, I have some... uh... propositions for you. I jokingly refer to GTPlanet in college sports as GTPlanet University. So pretend GTPlanet University plays host to one of several voting sections. You're already registered to vote here because this is just casual college football talk. So let's get this one started!

--- John's Election Day Special ---
I have these "propositions" lined up for you all to vote on. It's basically a case of fact or fiction. I'll come up with about 10 propositions regarding college football this season. So vote Yes or No for each one. It's the first time I've done this. I think you may find this to be fun. So have a look:

Proposition 00 - Mark Mangino for Coach of the Year

COMMERCIAL: "Mike Mangino has done a great job of coaching the Kansas Jayhawks to an amazing 9-0 record. Don't listen to the campaign camp voting for Missouri to be tops in the Big XII North. Vote Mark Mangino for Coach of the Year. With Proposition 00, you can have a coach of the year you can be proud of. What's Texas done? Texas A&M? Baylor? What about Kansas State? Mangino's coached the University of Kansas football team and making them relevant again. We're the Kentucky of the Big XII- a team down in the dumps but suddenly reborn and never been better. All thanks to Mike Mangino. Vote YES for Proposition 00!"

___ Yes
___ No

Proposition 01 - Charlie Weis Out of Head Coach Spot for Notre Dame

COMMERCIAL: "Notre Dame has had one of the worst seasons in years. The Fighting Irish have been down and out for most of this season. Our only win was against UCLA. It's time for a change. Vote Yes Proposition 01 to find a better coach to revive this once-proud program. We will find a coach that can beat Michigan, Boston College, and every other team we lost to this season. The rest of our season includes the following: Air Force, Duke, and at Stanford. We may be able to win all three of these games, but we need a new coach to help makke our school great again. We play like a champion every day, and we need a new champion to coach us. Vote YES for Proposition 01!"

___ Yes
___ No

Proposition 02 - Matt Ryan for Heisman
COMMERCIAL: "Matt Ryan of Boston College has done a great deal for us. We lost our previous game to Florida State, but stunned every one else, including our game at Virginia Tech. Matt Ryan is a champion worthy of your respect. Why vote Colt Brennan? Why vote Andre' Woodson? Why any of these when you can vote Matt Ryan? Matt Ryan is a true champion that you can be proud of. Help solidify his Heisman status by voting YES for Proposition 02!"

___ Yes
___ No

Proposition 03 - Ohio State Remaining Unbeaten

(opposing party) COMMERCIAL: "Ohio State is great. They are good. However, they aren't the University of Michigan. Sure, we lost to Appalachian State and Oregon. Did we fall on our faces like Notre Dame this season? Voting YES for Proposition 03 means that we have to feel the wrath of Ohio State in all college football discussions. If Ohio State is so good, how come they got their brains beat out by Florida in last year's title game? Vote NO to Ohio State being unbeaten to the National Championship! LSU is a better candidate. Boston College is a better candidate. ANYONE but Ohio State! Save your sanity and vote NO!

___ Yes
___ No

Proposition 04 - Kentucky to Remain Strong
COMMERCIAL: "The University of Kentucky has proud tradition in both basketball and football. A national championship isn't likely where we are now (neither is possibly winning the SEC East, but you can help us feel good about ourselves by voting YES for Proposition 04. This vote will allow for Wildcats' football to rule the Bluegrass State over lowly schools like... say... Louisville. We play in a tough conference and play hard, even in losing efforts. Kentucky is no longer only famous for basketball. We have Andre' Woodson leading the charge like never before. Kentucky can continue to grow as an SEC East contender. Vote YES for Proposition 04. It's not that hard."

___ Yes
___ No

Proposition 05 - Connecticut to Win Big East
COMMERCIAL: "Americans have stood to the task to defend home soil and remain strong in times of need. So has the University of Connecticut. Who would think that the University of Connecticut would stand at 8-1? The clock struck Midnight for Cinderella (South Florida). West Virginia is good, but we're the new surprise Big East team. You can help take us to a BCS Bowl game with your support. Vote YES for Proposition 05. Help us enhance our football image more than we have already."

___ Yes
___ No

Proposition 06 - North Dakota State Unbeaten
COMMERCIAL: "Greetings, people. We are North Dakota State University in Fargo, ND. You mat not hear about the Dakotas too much, but we're a quiet school in a quiet state making plenty of noise. See what we did to the University of Minnesota earlier this season? Our team will do our best to remain unbeaten and show America one of the best FCS schools besides Appalachian State, Furman, Georgia Southern, San Diego, Dayton, Massachusetts, the two Montana schools, and others. Vote YES for North Dakota State University to finish unbeaten and keep America safe for democracy!"

___ Yes
___ No

Proposition 07 - Houston to Defend Conference USA Title Successfully
COMMERCIAL: "The University of Houston has had a proud history of football success. While we're better known for Phi Slamma Jamma in the '80s, we've had a good number of good teams in our history. We are the best team in America's Space City. We don't have the services of Kevin Kolb, but we do have two strong candidates to elect for Cougar supremacy- head coach Art Briles and Anthony "Quick 6" Aldridge. Vote YES to help us win Conference USA for two successive seasons. We must face Tulsa on the road this Saturday, which may decide C-USA West. We need your help!"

___ Yes
___ No

Proposition 08 - Oregon to Win Pac-10

COMMERCIAL: "We are the University of Oregon in the beautiful city of Eugene. We are currently leading the Pac-10 as we head into Arizona on November 15. We're resting this week so we can hope you recognize us as a Pac-10 power. That's right. USCal is no longer the team that rules with an iron fist in Pac-10 play. We are the new powers. Vote YES for Oregon to win the Pac-10 and make the green and gold proud."

___ Yes
___ No

Propositions 09A and 09B - Grand Valley State and Mount Union to Both Finish Unbeaten

COMMERCIAL: "We are representatives for Divisions 2 and 3 in the NCAA. Grand Valley State University (Allendale, MI) and Mount Union (Alliance, OH) are both unbeaten and have been that way for a good while. Thing is, nothing lasts forever. Neither do winning streaks. There needs to be a new power in either or both divisions. So vote NO for these two to remain unbeaten. Give OTHER teams a chance to win!"

A. Grand Valley State remaining unbeaten:
___ Yes
___ No

B. Mount Union remaining unbeaten:
___ Yes
___ No

How about it, people? Thanks for checking out my Election Day special.

It's Election Day... and there's a game I didn't even know was on TV until I saw the ESPN Bottom Line. I was looking at the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic game between Central Arkansas and host school Kentucky. We got some Michigan action. So why don't we get this one started?!

--- Division 1: Bowl Subdivision Series ---
It's Election Day. Do you elect to read my college football report on this Tuesday evening?

You Decide: Best MAC Power in Michigan
* Central Michigan {Chippewas} at Western Michigan {Broncos}
Michigan and Michigan State beat each others' brains out this past Saturday. How about another rivalry in the Great Lakes State? We got some bad blood brewing between two of the MAC's best teams (because Eastern Michigan is crap, and Northern Michigan isn't even in FBS, much less Division 1). Kalamazoo, Michigan is home to Western Michigan University. But we meet Central Michigan first. Central Michigan is the defending MAC Champions. They may well be heading back to Detroit to play for the MAC title. The Chippewas are one of the NCAA schools with Native American nicknames. I believe they won their battle to keep the Chippewa nickname. Now we go from Mount Pleasant to Kalamazoo. Western Michigan University is home to a pack of horses ready to do some damage. The NCAA Football series by EA Sports has the fight song of Western Michigan as one of the different songs for Wisconsin. That's not true if you visit http://www.fightmusic.com and look up Western Michigan's fight song. The Broncos are ready to stampede over their hated foes from Mount Pleasant.
WMU's best player was ejected for not being contained and content. On the interception, the Broncos botched the snap for a field goal to go up by even more. Despite controversy, Central Michigan came from behind to pull out the win. And with this win, they picked up the MAC West crown and will await the MAC East champ in Detroit on December 1st. (34-31; Central Michigan

OFF-TOPIC
My former Speech teacher from my days at Lamar University is a graduate of Eastern Michigan. I know I knocked EMU's football team, but my former Speech teacher, a lady named Dr. Nicki Michalski, was a great inspiration for me as well as a highly understanding and respectful person. You REMEMBER and HONOR great former professors and teachers for as long as as you live.

A Potential Bad Omen for Ohio State?
The University of Findlay knocked off Ohio State 80-78 in an exhibition basketball on the Big Ten network. The Oilers beat the Buckeyes in the closing moments. If you believe in bad omens, an Ohio State loss in some other sport could impact football. I think Ohio State is for real (usually is all the time). I don't think Ohio State is going down... unless Michigan has something to say about that next week.

John's Favorite Fight Songs
I have a list of fight songs that I've liked from both football and non-football schools. These all depend on songs I've heard before. These can range between fightmusic.com and the College Hoops series by 2K Sports. So here are some of the schools that have fight songs that I've liked:

* Tennessee
* Alabama
* Kentucky
* Ohio State
* Boise State
* Washington
* Houston (not being a homer; good song)
* Oklahoma
* Oklahoma State
* Kansas State
* Southern California
* Texas A&M
* Eastern Michigan
* Stanford
* Massachusetts
* San Diego
* Sam Houston State
* Texas State
* Virginia Military Institute
* Missouri State
* Tennessee Tech
* High Point
* Illinois-Chicago
* Gonzaga
* Xavier
* Wisconsin
* Texas-San Antonio
* Marquette
* Denver
* Old Dominion
* Indiana University-Purdue University-Indianapolis
* Santa Clara
* Hartford

Just a few... ^_^

Miami's Final Game at the Orange Bowl This Weekend
Miami will host the Virginia Cavaliers under the lights in Coral Gables. It will be on ESPN2 this Saturday. Kyle Wright has had knee and ankle problems, but likely to start the final home game at the Orange Bowl. I just want to comment on the Orange Bowl. The stadium has a unique and lovely view of Miami in the distance. You may even see some sailboats in the water. I really can't imagine Miami drawing larger crowds at Dolphin Stadium. Dolphin Stadium can't draw a baseball crowd, and the Miami Dolphins haven't amounted much of anything since Dan Marino left. I know it's going to help recruiting for the Hurricanes, but I can't really imagine University of Miami football at Dolphin Stadium. And I don't think it will amount to that much history at the new place. So many memories. Like here in Houston, the Houston Cougars used to play at the Reliant Astrodome. Now there's talk of getting rid of the Houston Astrodome (just like getting rid of Astroworld - Six Flags Over Texas here, which was an overpass away from the Astrodome). If you're not going to tear it down, at least renovate it. Unless you want the Orange Bowl to just stand there and have weeds and cracks growing around it while looking like a ghost town...

And that's it. Hope to catch you all next time.

Tonight, the University of Ohio will play on the road at the University of Akron. The Bobcats will meet up against the Zips. I'm sure it will be on ESPN2. Stay tuned for my final report on this game and others once I have it ready.

No action from Divisions FCS through 3. So we got ourselves some FBS action. Why not stop by, take a read, and comment if you will.

--- Division 1: Bowl Subdivision Scores ---

You Decide: Better Ohio MAC School
* Ohio {Bobcats} at Akron {Zips}
Got rubber? We're at the Rubber Bowl in Akron, OH. The city of Akron is home to the National Inventors' Hall of Fame. We're going to invent some great football. Ohio can patent themselves a Bowl Game by winning this match. They are 5-5 going up against an Akron team that is playing for pride at 3-6. Let's meet these two schools. The University of Ohio is in the city of Athens, OH. I checked for the location of the city on a map. I think the city is in central southeastern Ohio. The Bobcats are a good MAC school. They can be great and make their way into a Bowl game by beating Akron. The University of Akron is south southeast of greater Cleveland. So while there's not a lot of college football in the city of Cleveland, at least Akron has college football. And these are some Zips who couldn't be any more proud to
Akron led 20-13 at the half. Akron led 34-24 after three quarters. However, ther was no stopping Akron once sixty minutes concluded. (48-37; AKRON)

DID YOU KNOW...
...that John Heisman played football for the University of Akron? You weren't born back then- it was back in 1894 when he played for the Zips.

No extras. Just get ready for more football action for Thursday night. Have a great day!

I'm going to make this one brief because I was very tired trying to get scores in. So I'll make quick reports and move on.

--- Division 1: Bowl Subdivision Scores ---

You Decide: West Virginia's Bid for Payback
* Louisville {Cardinals} at West Virginia {Mountaineers}
Let's look at FoolKiller's beloved (hated) University of Louisville. The Louisville Cardinals won last year's game in a "black out" of West Virginia. But the Mountaineers prevented Louisville from coming from behind to win. West Virginia were as golden as the uniforms they were wearing. (38-31; #7 WEST VIRGINIA) *** big win ***

You Decide: Mountain West's Brighter Talent
* TCU {Horned Frogs} at BYU {Cougars} (27-22; BRIGHAM YOUNG)

--- Division 1: Championship Subdivision Scores ---

You Decide: Better Middle-of-the-Road HBCU in the Ohio Valley Conference?
* Tennessee State {Tigers} at Samford {Bulldogs} (38-28; Tennessee State}

--- Division 2 Scores ---
This is the final week of the regular season of D2 football. Let's see who won today.

* West Georgia at #8 Valdosta State (35-10; #8 VALDOSTA STATE)

The "Stange Fellow" From the Past...
The fellow who had long hair and kind of a handsome face... is now a lady. Came across her as I was going to the Computer Lab at my community college. So this is my first transgendered person that I've ever known in person.

Upcoming Matches in College Football (by fans)
I'm paying back some of my loyal fans. Here are some upcoming matches:

* Kentucky at Vanderbilt
* #?? Michigan at Wisconsin
* #? Kansas at Oklahoma State
* North Dakota State at California Polytechnical

So most loyal fans will see their favorite teams play on the road this weekend. Let me know if I missed a game.

John Returns to Enthusia
I've been playing Enthusia again after a long spell. Part of the reason was because I wanted to build up my personal website ( http://www.freewebs.com/johnm2001 ). I'm editing it to offer better information about playing in Enthusia. I wanted to update my Calendar deal and offer more information about the tracks in the game. With the PageBreeze program I downloaded on Wednesday, I'll try to use PageBreeze to build my website better. I was unable to make the King of the Year Grand Prix, so I have one motto for this new year in Enthusia- "in it to win it!" You dig me, players?

Friday night matches include Bowling Green State at Eastern Michigan and Rutgers at the United States Military Academy (Army). See you then!

My brother gets married in 8 days. It won't take eight minutes to explain tonight's matches in Divisions FBS and D2. So let's go to work!

BEFORE WE BEGIN... happy 232nd Birthday to the United States Marines! Thank you guys for protecting our great nation here and abroad. Happy birthday to the proud men and women of the United States Marine Corps.

--- Division 1: Bowl Subdivision Scores ---
We start in New York (state), then swim through Lake Erie to Michigan. Better bring your wet suit and some goggles once we make the swim.

You Decide: Go Army... Beat Rutgers?
* Rutgers {Scarlet Knights} at Army {Black Knights/Cadets}
Wouldn't it be fitting if on the birthday of the United States Marines, that Army beats Rutgers? The United States Military Academy is usually known as the Black Knights, so that's the name I'll use. However, they also go by the Cadets. The USMA is situated in the beautiful setting of West Point, New York? How beautiful is it? Imagine being along the Hudson River and noticing the beautiful scenery of the hills and the trees... really a beautiful sight from what I've seen in pictures and on TV. West Point is about 20 miles south southwest of Poughkeepsie. It's about 20-30 miles north northwest from Manhattan. Not exactly a greater New York City school, but still one of the best places to discover what you're truly made of. Rutgers operates from Piscataway, NJ. Rutgers is the State University of New Jersey, but also the state university of college football in the greater metropolitan area of New York City. Rutgers is the football school of NYC until (if it indeed happens) St. John's reinstates their football team and plays in the Big East. The Scarlet Knights INVENTED college football. And those who picked Rutgers to win were absolutely right. (41-6; Rutgers)

You Decide: More Majestic Birds of the Midwest?
* Bowling Green State {Falcons} at Eastern Michigan {Eagles}
The Falcons were the more majestic fowl in trumping the EMU Eagles. (39-32; Bowling Green State)

(no FCS games reported)

--- Division 2 Scores ---

* Upper Iowa at Bemidji State (56-28; BEMIDJI STATE)
* Minnesota-Crookston at Concordia-St. Paul (48-0; CONCORDIA-ST. PAUL)

(no Division 3 games reported)

People, I've decided on TWO Games of the Week, both taking place in the SEC. We got Florida and South Carolina going at it for my first GAME OF THE WEEK, then the Deep South's Oldest Rivalry as Auburn and Georgia will go at it yet again. Auburn and Georgia absolutely dislike each other. Nothing bring out the best in you like a Rivalry Game. Not a game of the week, but I'm picking the Division 3 rivalry between Amherst and Williams as my top match for Division 3.

Here are some of a few unbeatens in college football at this point:
* Ohio State
* Kansas
* Hawaii/Hawai'i
* North Dakota State
* McNeese State
* Yale
* Grand Valley State
* West Texas A&M
* Mount Union

Any chance they go down? Find out in my Saturday report!

What the hell happened to Michigan? Oh I know, Henne thought he was hurt again and had to be taken out of the game. Looks like Michigan's season is over because as much as I would like them to, I do not think they can beat Ohio State.

What the hell happened to Michigan? Oh I know, Henne thought he was hurt again and had to be taken out of the game. Looks like Michigan's season is over because as much as I would like them to, I do not think they can beat Ohio State.

That is what happens when your backup QB is a true Freshman, the starter gets hurt, then usually it's game over, unless you have a powerful running game, but then Hart was out as well.

Keep the faith, the U-M / OSU game is all about emotion and want to. Regardless of talent, either team can win a rivalry game with emotion.

Go Blue!! (As long as Hart starts, I predict U-M wins by 6)

Well I was pretty bummed out when Michigan lost today, sure feels a little better now that Ohio State got beat by Illinois.

Man, I wouldn't wanna be 1st ranked this year, how many #1's lost now this season???

Go Blue!!! (pretty sure they won't be ranked #1)

NDSU is 10-0. But just barely. We played Cal Poly at Cal Poly.

Here's what the scores were per quarter.

NDSU 3 3 3 22 Final - 31
Cal Poly 7 7 7 7 Final - 28

So, NDSU gets to keep its "unbeaten" title, however barely.

We're also 3-0 in the Great West conference. And my KU Jayhawks are undefeated. I still root for my fellow Kansans.

AND the high school I went to (which sucked at football when I was there) just beat another school in the second Kansas High School football championship 55-0. (I don't know what division.. I didn't ever pay attention to that)

So High-Test is a very happy camper.

Hopefully my Chiefs can make up for last week's loss..

___ Yes
___ No

I'm Chris Wrenn and I approve that message.

It's Saturday. I will be busy next Saturday because I have to attend my brother's wedding. I'll try to come up with a name for next week's scores. As for right now, seasons are winding down. Rivalries are on tap, nobody wants to lose, and stuff like that. You want college football? You got it. Thank me later. My Saturday Synopsis will give you a general overview of what to expect for my scores. Remember that each highlighted game will have "You Decide:" in its heading.

SATURDAY SYNOPSIS: Week 10
The overall scale of college football this week featured some rivalry games as a precursor to next week. Ohio State and Michigan are looking at weaker opponents as the long-awaited match between the two Big Ten powers come to a head next week. Meanwhile, Notre Dame is looking to take down Air Force. This will be the final home game at the Orange Bowl for the Miami Hurricanes. The future of Hurricanes football will be at Dolphin Stadium. They got Virginia. There was a Texas-sized scoring fest in Texas. North Dakota State, Yale, and McNeese State are some of FCS' unbeatens as they try to keep on keeping on. The only real upsets in Division 2 happened with teams ranked 20th through 25th. There was still a colossal margin of victory for one team in Division 2. A flurry of upsets occured in Division 3 including some Top Ten teams losing. The Amherst/Williams rivalry is one of the oldest in America as the Purple Cows of Williams hosted their bitter rivals. There were even some blowout losses in Division 3 you have to see to believe!

--- Division 1: Bowl Subdivision Scores ---

You Decide: Better Team Coached by Steve Spurrier? (GAME OF THE WEEK 1 of 2)
Florida {Gators} at South Carolina {Gamecocks}
I didn't get to see all of this game. The Florida Gators had themselves a Gamecock dinner tonight. (51-31; #?? Florida)

You Decide: Deep South's Oldest Rivalry... Deep South's Better Team? (GAME OF THE WEEK 2 of 2)
* #19 Auburn {Tigers} at #10 Georgia {Bulldogs}
Georgia wore some black jerseys for this match. In the Deep South's Oldest Rivalry, the Bulldogs dug down deep to blow out the Auburn Tigers. (45-20; #10 GEORGIA)

It's time for me to now note a very early "Most Disappointing Loss." Take a look, have a heavy heart... because the Orange Bowl will see its final game and likely be demolished. No "You Decide" in this title. So let's do this, in honor of one of the finest football stadiums in the nation:

Remembering the Orange Bowl
* Virginia {Cavaliers} at Miami {Hurricanes}
Nobody died. A disaster didn't happen. Somehow, sadness will follow this game no more action from the Orange Bowl will take place. It was one of the finest college football stadiums ever. The Miami Hurricanes usually blow out (pun intended) their teams, but it was the Virginia Cavaliers who did the blowing out. So this is how the final-ever game at the Orange Bowl ends- Miami falling on their faces. {48-0; Virginia) *** disappointing loss ***

We move elsewhere around the country.

You Decide: Still Life Left in Kentucky?
* #25 Kentucky {Wildcats} at Vanderbilt {Commodores}
Lexington is a lovely place to play football. However, they must venture out. So they hit up Music City trying to play a song that will get themselves a win. Let's meet the two teams and learn their campaigns. Vandy is first. Vanderbilt University is in good old Nashville, Tennessee. Music City. The song they've been playing, however, isn't going to make the Rock Music Hall of Fame anytime soon. This is even if they share the name of one of the best R&B groups ever (I personally love the Isley Brothers)- the Commodores. Vanderbilt's song for this season may well be Beck's "Loser" song. Kentucky's coming to town. Kentucky wears blue, but the campus was singing the blues after the men's basketball team got beaten down by Gardner-Webb in the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic. Kentucky's football team around this time would usually mean nothing since football is not what they would excel at. Totally different story this season. Kentucky's not going to win the SEC East at this point, but the Wildcats want to be Survivors like what Destiny's Child sang a few years ago. The 'Cats will go to a Bowl Game. Andre' Woodson and Dicky Lyons Jr. is still the tandem for the Wildcats to be a success. Lace 'em up and let's go! Vanderbilt was leading 13-10 with about 2:15 left in the first half. Kentucky led 27-20 with about 1:42 left in the game. Vanderbilt hasn't been to a Bowl since 1982. So you have to feel for Vanderbilt some. You have to hope they can beat Kentucky so they can make a Bowl game. However... who cares? No Music City Miracle here- it's just a Wildcats' win as they help their cause. Kentucky makes it to 7-3 with the game shown on Kentucky's Big Blue Network. Kentucky will face Tennessee later this month. At this point, Kentucky will have to play spoiler. (27-20; Kentucky)

You Decide: Wolverines Unbeaten Headed to the Ohio State Game?
* #12 Michigan {Wolverines} at Wisconsin {Badgers}
Nobody said Wisconsin is overrated. Nobody said that Wisconsin will have to play the game of their lives to win. This goes out to all the Wolverine football faithful, including GTPlanet's Joey D. I must report
Wisconsin was leading about 23-7 after three quarters. Michigan would engineer a comeback to try to keep their unbeaten record in the Big Ten intact. Michigan threw a pick under 5 minutes left in the game, and Wisconsin cashed in a touchdown plus the complimentary extra point. I could feel Joey D's heart breaking if this ends up a Michigan loss. It looked very likely as Wisconsin was leading 37-21 at 2:00 left. Michigan's awesome comeback results in an extended beatdown by Wisconsin. Well, I can't promise Michigan any good news since I'm just a messenger and have to call what I see. And what I saw was a Michigan team who came from way down to try to knock off Wisconsin, but it was all for not. (37-21; WISCONSIN) *** upset! and big win ***

John's Comments: Look at it this way, Michigan fans... this should give you motivation to knock off Ohio State. Shouldn't let Wisconsin get you down. Look at what you did all season after losing to Appalachian State and Oregon. Most teams would just lose and keep losing. You kept beating teams and doing all you can to stay in the hunt. Make a difference when it matters most. Now make ready for Ohio State.

You Decide: Ohio State Unbeaten Heading into Ann Arbor?
* Illinois {Fighting Illini} at #1 Ohio State {Buckeyes}
The University of Illinois and Ohio State
There was 13:48 on the clock in the FIRST QUARTER, and the two teams traded touchdowns. It's a real rock-em-sock-em game early. Michigan lost, but so did Ohio State. Let the "who's the real #1 now?" question ensue. Their streak of 28-straight regular season wins and 20-straight Big Ten games are both now over. If only dougiemeatswere around to read this report (still on here?)... (28-21; Illinois) *** #1 UPSET!!! ***

DID YOU KNOW...
...that this is Illinois' first upset of a #1 team since 1956?

More college football in a moment, but let's dial it down with an extra.

EXTRA: Upsetting Number 1
"...and Kentucky upsets #1 LSU in Triple Overtime!" "...and Illinois stunned the #1 Ohio State Buckeyes!" Feels great knocking off #1, isn't it? Ask ANY team who upset a top-ranked team, and they'll likely tell you that they are on a natural high. You don't have to be impressive, you just have to hang on to beat your opposition to kingdom come. Outmatched teams can pull any sort of feat. It all depends on how you get it done. Maybe you capitalize on the other team's errors. Maybe you execute better down the stretch. Anyone can beat anyone, but it takes effort and heart to pull the impossible. It's not real fun when the top-ranked team blows open the other team. Sports aren't very fun if the highest-ranked team always wins games against inferior opposition. Pull an upset of a top-ranked team, and the feeling is like winning the National Championship. Or maybe you ARE facing the #1 team in the nation and beat them as a highly-ranked team. Nothing like an upset, especially if you can pull a top-seeded upset.

You Decide: Conference USA Western Division Race
* Houston {Cougars} at Tulsa {Golden Hurricane}
It was 49-0 in favor of TULSA with about 4:47 left in the Third Quarter! Houston's getting their asses handed to and may kiss the C-USA West lead goodbye. I've been listening to Houston's 790 AM for this game. My beloved Cougars were trailing 56-0 with 3:52 left in the game. The Coogs had a fair share of penalties and turnovers and completely didn't come to play. Not a way to defend your Conference USA title against a talented Tulsa team. You COULD say that the Golden Hurricane won this one in a blowout. A blowout of winds gusting to 150 mph and higher. (56-7; TULSA) *** disappointing loss ***

You Decide: Nebraksa Showing Signs of Life Again?
* Kansas State {Wildcats} at Nebraska {Cornhuskers}
You lose 70-something to 30-something to Kansas. So what do you do? Put a Cornhusker beatdown on the poor Wildats of K-State.[/B} 73-31; NEBRASKA} *** big win and ownage ***

You Decide: Kansas = For Real?
* #4 Kansas {Jayhawks} at Oklahoma State {Cowboys}
Kansas led 20-14 after one half of play. Seems like only Missouri stands in the way of whether or not Kansas rules the Big XII North. The Jayhawks blew out the Cowboys in Stillwater. (43-28; #4 Kansas)

You Decide: 2007 Notre Dame Team Still Worth Watching?
* Air Force {Falcons} at Notre Dame {Fighting Irish}
This will be my final highlighted game. Notre Dame has been the lamest ducks this season. Their misery is just about complete as the Fighting Irish got beat up by Air Force's Falcons. I bet Notre Dame would even lose to Minnesota or SMU or any other one-win team. Notre Dame has lost to two different service academies for the first time since... the '40s, I believe. Notre Dame is absolutely pathetic. Defend them all you want, but this is a pathetic season for the Fighting Irish. (41-24; Air Force)

You Decide: Basketball on Grass?
* Navy {Midshipmen} at North Texas {Mean Green}
In an offensive shootout, the Navy Midshipmen sunk North Texas into further mediocrity. The Mean Green didn't mean business as they fell to 1-8. This result ties the most number of total points scored in FBS. (74-62; Navy)

Other FBS Scores...
* USCal {Trojans} at California {Golden Bears} (-; Southern California)
* Florida State at Virginia Tech (40-21; VIRGINIA TECH)
[* Connecticut {Huskies} at Cincinnati {Bearcats} (27-3; CINCINNATI) *** upset! ***
* Texas Tech {Red Raiders} at Texas {Longhorns} (5?-; TEXAS)
* Boise State {Broncos} at Utah State {Aggies} (58-0; #?? Boise State)
* Wyoming {Cowboys} at Utah {Utes} (-0; UTAH)
* North Carolina at North Carolina State --- RIVALRY GAME --- (31-27; NORTH CAROLINA STATE)
* Wake Forest at #20 Clemson (44-10; #20 CLEMSON)
* Minnesota at Iowa --- RIVALRY GAME: Floyd of Rosedale --- (21-16; IOWA) <<< now Bowl eligible
* Penn State at Temple (31-0; Pennsylvania State)
* Arkansas at Tennessee (34-13; #22 TENNESSEE)
* Rice at Southern Methodist (43-42; Rice)
* Fresno State at #14 Hawaii (37-30; #14 HAWAII)

--- Division 1: Championship Subdivision Scores ---
I'm going to concentrate early on some unbeatens. I begin by giving High-Test some love. Let's see how his Bison do when they hit up San Luis Obispo, California.

You Decide: Thundar for President?
* North Dakota State (Bison) at California Polytechnical (Mustangs)
This was a close fight, but the Bison of North Dakota State get out of California with a win over the Mustangs. (31-28; North Dakota State)

You Decide: Patriot League Power?
* Lafayette {Leopards} at Holy Cross {Crusaders}
You saw it on CSTV earlier this afternoon. Now here are the results. Despite some injuries (including a scary one for Lafayette College, the Leopards still bettered the Crusaders of the College of the Holy Cross. (31-21; Lafayette)

Other FCS Scores...
* Rhode Island at Maine (35-0; MAINE)
* Villanova at Towson (14-12; Villanova)
* Colgate at Georgetown (45-12; Colgate) <<< Georgetown is 1-10
* Pennsylvania at Harvard (23-7; HARVARD) <<< Harvard is 7-2
* Richmond at Delaware (62-56; Richmond) <<< both teams 8-2
* La Salle at Duquesne (51-8; Duquesne)
* Southeast Missouri State at Missouri State --- RIVALRY GAME --- (55-17; MISSOURI STATE)
* Indiana State at Northern Iowa (68-14; NORTHERN IOWA)
* James Madison at William and Mary --- RIVALRY GAME --- (55-34; James Madison)
* Gardner-Webb at Coastal Carolina (17-14; COASTAL CAROLINA) <<< Gardner-Webb's men's basketball team upset Kentucky days ago
* Stephen F. Austin at Central Arkansas (35-23; CENTRAL ARKANSAS) <<< Stephen F. Austin State is 0-10...
* Southern Utah at South Dakota State (52-27; SOUTH DAKOTA STATE) <<< ... and so is Southern Utah
* Western Carolina at Appalachian State (79-35; APPALACHIAN STATE)
* Northwestern State at McNeese State (27-21; McNEESE STATE) <<< Lake Charles, LA school is 10-0
* Yale at Princeton (27-6; Yale) <<< the Intellect bowl! Yale is 9-0
* Southern at Arkansas-Pine Bluff (23-21; ARKANSAS-PINE BLUFF) <<< UAPB now 3-7

--- Division 2 Scores ---
They chose Division 2. You decide how you like your Division 2 football. It's the final week of the regular season for Division 2 football.

* Northern Michigan at #1 Grand Valley State (44-14; #1 GRAND VALLEY STATE)
* #6 North Dakota at South Dakota (31-27; ) <<< rivalry is coming to FCS soon to meet NDSU and SoDaSU
* George Mason at #14 Tuskegee (72-3; #14 TUSKEGEE) *** ownage *** <<< club football team for GMU

--- Division 3 Scores ---

* Amherst at Willams {Purple Cows} --- RIVLARY GAME --- (20-0; WILLIAMS)

SIDE NOTE
Williams is now 69-48-5 all-time against Amherst College.

Now on to other games played at Division 3 schools.

* Dixie State at Southern Oregon (42-9; SOUTHERN OREGON) *** disappointing loss ***

--- John's Winners and Losers ---
Sorry it took me until Sunday afternoon to complete this. I'm making a rare Sunday afternoon appearance here to inform you of Winners and Losers as well as the rest of the Division 3 highlights. So here now are my Winners and Losers for Week 10:

BIGGEST WIN(S) OF THE WEEK
Nebraska Doesn't Apologize for Putting 73 on Kansas State After Taking a Similar Beating Last Week
- Nebraska had 73 points put on them by Kansas in a disappointing game. Now they redeem themselves by beating the s:censored: out of Kansas State. Real show of character to take 70+ from one team, then dish that punishment from another team out on another team.

MOST DISAPPOINTING LOSS(ES) OF THE WEEK
We're Going to Miss You, Orange Bowl... and Miami's Final Game at the Orange Bowl a Pathetic Shutout
- The most disappointing loss of the week is that this is the final Home Game for Miami at the Orange Bowl. But until I saw the results of this game, I was extremely disappointed that Miami didn't put up an inspiring effort to at least get into the game against Virginia. So this is how the proud history of the Orange Bowl ends- Miami losing by 48. Absolutely pathetic. What a way to close out the final home game at the Orange Bowl. Hope the Hurricanes can do MUCH better at Dolphin Stadium because I'm sure they can win more games than today's Miami Dolphins. If this blank job is what we can expect at Dolphin Stadium, then Miami's in trouble.

By the way, I was going to consider Notre Dame's blowout loss to Air Force as MOST DISAPPOINTING LOSS, but we're disappointingly going to lose the Orange Bowl. So you fans in South Bend are spared... at least for now.

UPSET(S) OF THE WEEK (if any)
Break Out the Champaign... uh, Champagne, because Illinois Stuns #1 Ohio State on the Road
- I would seriously lose respect on GTPlanet if I said that some other game was an upset bigger than beating Ohio State AT Ohio State. I was thinking this was going to be basketball on grass after some big plays were made. However, it was an Illinois beating Ohio State may not soon forget. Ron Zook leaves Florida to go to Illinois, and comes out the winning coach. Good job by the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

OWNAGE(S) OF THE WEEK:
George Mason's Club Football Team Can't Become Cinderella in a 72-3 Ass-Beating by #14 Tuskegee
- The Maroon Tigers of Tuskegee University had a field day with George Mason University. George Mason is trying to get into NCAA football, but the Patriots' club football team couldn't pull a March Madness-worthy performance to knock off Tuskegee.

George Mason = OWNED 723 by #14 Tuskegee!

A Year and Change Waiting- John FINALLY Plays a Nintendo Wii Game!
At an unlikely spot at a Wal-Mart in Pearland, TX; I played Super Mario Galaxy on the Nintendo Wii. I found it a bit confusing trying to use the analog stick portion with my left hand while making sure to keep pointing the other device in my right. Also have to make sure I'm a bit away from the screen, like about 2 ft. away. Super Mario Galaxy was a pretty interesting game from what I've played. I still obviously need more practice with the Wii. A layout like this seems to heavily favor first-person shooting games. Think about it- you move around with the analog stick while the other does all the reloading and stuff. There should be some sort of adapter for the Wii that makes it look like a shotgun or an M45 machine gun. Fun stuff. I need more practice. And thankfully, there was an adapter for the system that doesn't make you have to have a driver's license or something just to borrow it.

Thinking of Broadband for my House
I usually get online in the 11PM hour when tomorrow's not a school day, and in the 10PM hour when the next day is a school day. I use dialup and don't mind waiting. But if we get broadband for this place, it's going to open a lot of opportunities to go quick searching online and stuff. It may even validate an opportunity to download stuff for the PS3 if I end up getting a PS3 somehow. Online gaming? Probably not possible, but I'll finally be a late bloomer to broadband at home someday.

Have to Prepare for my Brother's Wedding Next Saturday
People, I don't know if I'm going to be able to handle next weekend's games. I think I decided what I want to do for next weekend. What I'll do is that I'll make a very early post showing you my score sources. You can click on the links to see how your favorite and least favorite teams fared next weekend. My GAME OF THE WEEK for next week will be Ohio State's visit to Ann Arbor in arguably one of the biggest rivalries in sports- the Ohio State/Michigan game. Both teams lost their games this Saturday, so you can bet these two teams will want to tear apart the other team beyond recognition. It will be my RIVALRY WEEK. Hope you stick around.

A Second Opinion on Nissan
I never considered myself a Nissan guy. Don't hate them, just not real big on Nissan. I must admit that I've been wholly impressed with the design lines for the new GT-R as well as the forthcoming 370Z. I never doubted the abilities of the new GT-R. Its performance numbers are just unreal. I still wish the doors and roof could have been designed better. Otherwise, the GT-R is a killer car and sure to be a favorite among Skyline/GT-R fans. You love your GT-R's? You're going to love this bad boy. As for the 370Z, I almost thought it was one of the Toyota Supra concept models. But this too looks amazing. I said I was never really a Nissan guy... but I never said the GT-R and Z series are terrible now, did I? Two quality Japanese sports cars are ready to tear the road (and your wallet) apart once they drop.

That will be. Exit John, stage right. Next week will be RIVALRY WEEK, but also a day I have to prepare for my brother's wedding. So I'll need to come up with a unique name that combines a week of rivalries with weddings. I may go full-on with weddings for the week after next, but it will still be party time as Rivalry Week kicks off. Please take care, everyone!

I'll see all of you when next week's thread drops! My Saturday report has been updated. So what do you think about this past week of action?

But you're still obviously upset that Michigan got upset by Wisconsin, right? Should be a good game between Ohio State and Michigan later next week (I'm saying next week because this thread is for the past week).
