America and their voters are deciding who will become the next President of the United States. America and their college football fans often wonder who will be president and ruler of college football across four divisions of NCAA football. If you can say this, then Texas won't be elected to an additional term as the top team in FBS thanks to Texas Tech. Who will be king in college football? That will be tested this week.

Here is your college football schedule for this week:
FBS: SUN, TUE, WED, THU, FRI, SAT
FCS: THU, FRI, SAT
D2: MON, THU, SAT
D3:

Looks like I'm going to be busy this week! So let's begin the new week!

Division 1: FBS Scores
The week will begin in the Sunshine State. Let's get started!

Orlando, Florida - Pirates' Eyes Aglow at the Sight of Gold... Can They Cash In?
* East Carolina {Pirates} at UCF {Golden Knights}
I'll have to remember to start watching games on Sunday in college football because I missed it. Maybe it was my wanting to not watch ESPNEWS (or any sports web site) to see who won between Lewis Hamilton and Felipe Massa. So I have no idea what happened in this game except for what you're about to read in this report. The once-ranked East Carolina Pirates needed Overtime to loot the Golden Knights of their gold. (13-10, OT; East Carolina)

FCS begins Thursday
Schedule: Thursay-Saturday

Division 2 Starts Monday
Schedule: Monday, Thursday, and Saturday

Division 3 Starts Friday
Schedule: Friday and Saturday

NFL Focus
Let's get away from college for a moment and talk about the NFL. Who will be the kings of the gridiron on the pro level? I've selected a few games at random, so here are some quick scores to share:

* Houston Texans at Minnesota Vikings (28-21; MINNESOTA VIKINGS) <<< ends Texans' 3-game winning streak
* Detroit Lions at Chicago Bears (27-23; CHICAGO BEARS) <<< Lions scored all of their points in the 2nd Quarter
* New York Jets at Buffalo Bills (26-17; New York Jets)
* Green Bay Packers at Tennessee Titans (19-16, OT; TENNESSEE TITANS)
* Arizona Cardinals at St. Louis Rams (34-13; Arizona Cardinals)
* Dallas Cowboys at New York Giants (35-14; NEW YORK GIANTS)
* Baltimore Ravens at Cleveland Browns (37-27; Baltimore Ravens
* Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Kansas City Chiefs (30-27, OT; Tampa Bay Buccaneers)

SUNDAY NIGHT GAME:
* New England Patriots at Indianapolis Colts (18-15; INDIANAPOLIS COLTS)

John's Student Lounge
I was looking around on Google Earth at the University of Pittsburgh. Let me just tell you... that is a beautiful university. That tall Cathedral of Learning is outstanding. A beautiful structure. I even saw a little bit of Carnegie Mellon University which isn't too far from the University of Pittsburgh campus.

FoolKiller told me last year about a PC game about black college football. Well, the "Black College Football Xperience" is shown here with the sounds of Johnathan Coachman as one of the commentators. The game is Alabama A&M at Southern with this game under the Unreal 3 engine. Here's a YouTube on this game:

May not be the NCAA Football games, but at least this game has what EA games have- believeable stadiums and real fight songs. Then again, I'm not really sure if that's what A.W. Mumford Stadium looks like at Southern University (of Baton Rouge, LA).

I'll have that Division 2 score for my Monday report. You all take care. I welcome comments, questions, and stuff like that. Let me know how your favorite team is doing at this point. In the near future, I will unveil my 2008 Postseason thread. Stay tuned for that.

ANOTHER head coach about to step down next season! First Clemson's coach resigns, Tyrone Willingham will leave Washington, now... Phillip Fulmer of Tennessee will step down. Plenty of hot seats in FBS football! I'll have to wonder who fills these vacancies. This has been a brutal year for the Vols. One fan even said that Tennessee should get Rich Rodriguez at Michigan to go to Tennessee.

I'll have Division 2 action in a future report.

WWE Monday Night RAW aired its 800th episode tonight. I've had 800 posts on GTP long time ago. Alabama is now atop the BCS standings with Texas Tech in 2nd. Texas fell to fourth. Only one game on the fight card tonight. Let's get this thing started!

NOTE: I would like to offer my thoughts and prayers to Barack Obama's late grandmother.

FBS Resumes Tuesday
Remaining schedule: TUE-SAT

FCS Starts Thursday
Schedule: THU-SAT

Division 2 Scores
Only one game.

* Valdosta State at Southern Arkansas (38-16; Valdosta State)

Division 3 Starts Friday
Schedule: FRI and SAT

That's all from me. Either McCain or Obama will take center office. Vote if you get the chance to. This will be a true Super Tuesday. Thanks for reading this report. Take care and God bless!

Just heard this on ESPN's Pardon the Interruption- Barack Obama and John McCain (the two people you can vote on for President) are open to a playoff idea. I think Obama was open to an eight-team playoff. I've always loved an eight-team playoff where teams ranked 9-12 have a chance to earn their way into the tournament. If you haven't seen my past playoff idea, check this old thread out: < https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=101514 >.

The only football match tonight involves Buffalo against... I believe Miami University. The game will be in Buffalo. Check into this thread later tonight or early morning for these results and maybe even a special.

I chose not to come up with this report until a new U.S. President has been decided. Hope you all stood by and voted and hoped your next President takes office. The Student Lounge at GTPlanet University is all decked out in Election Day decorations. Now it's time to see who takes victory for college football... or did you know college football took place?

Division 1: FBS Scores
There's only one game.

Buffalo, New York - Battleground States Battle for MAC Victory
* Miami University {Redhawks} at Buffalo {Bulls}
The Mid-American Conference party needs a good representative to market its brand of college football. The non-BCS conference needs your help in determining who wins this match. The Redhawks campaign is that they want to convince the University of Buffalo that Miami University is a better football school than the University of Buffalo. The red team has had their say. Now let's go to the boys in blue. The Bulls campaign for the University of Buffalo believes in change. Change that they can beat Miami University to even their record at 4-4. Change that they can take control of the MAC East. Change that the Bulls are no longer the lackluster team most people make them out to be. Buffalo shown Miami University up big time. The Buffalo Bulls reigned supreme after this MAC East race ended. (37-17; BUFFALO)

FCS starts Thursday
Schedule: THU-SAT

Division 2 Resumes Thursday
Remaining Schedule: THU and SAT

Division 3 Starts Friday
Schedule: FRI and SAT

John's Student Lounge
I'd personally like to congratulate Barack Obama on winning the Presidency. I hope we can do our nation well and help us out in these times.

There are two MAC games slated for tomorrow night. One of the teams involved includes #16 Ball State as they host Northern Illinois. Meanwhile, Akron tries to stay afloat with an in-state rivalry game with Toledo. The game will be at Akron's Rubber Bowl. Thank you for reading this report. God bless you and America!

Ron Prince (Kansas State coach) will step down at the end of the year. Damn! Can't any coach keep a job nowadays?

One of the two games tonight will be Northern Illinois at #16 Ball State. I'll have these results for you when it comes time.

Thank goodness my college football reports aren't done vocally because I'd have to contend with sore throats as well as you all seeing me in my sleeping clothes, sitting on my bed, typing up these reports in an RTF file, then posting them on GTP. Plus, my new soundcard's microphone has terribly low microphone recording quality. I believe you want some college football, am I correct? Well get ready! The MAC will be showcased once again until all the BCS schools have their say.

Division 1: FBS Scores
Two games in the MAC took place. But before we begin, I have an extra.

EXTRA: "The BCS Stinks!"
It almost seemed like Barack Obama's notes about changing college football from the BCS to a playoff system sparked all kinds of "we need a playoff!" talk. ESPNEWS had their ESPNEWS Pregame Aircheck. Our own Carl Dukes on ESPN 97.5 The Ticket (Houston) said the system is fine as is. Pete Carroll dislikes the BCS formula. Joe Paterno wasn't sure if it was the BCS or the BSC. I've discussed playoff models before. And until a definite model can be agreed upon by athletics administrators and school presidents and such, then we're not going to see a playoff. College football is too entrenched in the Bowl format that changing it up to a playoff format sort of makes it completely different. Different as far as... not being like the classic formula. I personally wouldn't mind seeing a (eventually) 32 team playoff in which even smaller schools can compete against the big dogs of FBS football. Even adopt my 8-team playoff which features teams 9-12 to play their way into the Elite Eight.

Whatever the case, the want for a playoff will only increase.

Muncie, Indiana - Chicago Area on a Roll as Northern Illinois Thinks Upset
* Northern Illinois {Huskies} at Ball State {Cardinals}
You know a beautiful thing about sports? You can tell a team how overrated they are, then be able to prove it if given the chance. Maybe that's what NIU is thinking. Northern Illinois University is based in DeKalb, Illinois. Chicago was the hotbed of activity as President-Elect Barack Obama made his acceptance speech to his fellow Americans. The Huskies are thinking upset heading into Muncie, Indiana. Perhaps the most famous Ball State alum is David Letterman. I'm sure he'd have his Top Ten list of why the Cardinals are so great. David Letterman may have his reasons, but Ball State has 45 reasons why they are so great. Just ask NIU. (45-15; #16 BALL STATE)

Akron, Ohio - Rubberband AI at the Rubber Bowl?
* Toledo {Rockets} at Akron {Zips}
Perhaps you've heard the expression, "what you say may come back to haunt you." Everything goes back and forth like a boomerang when the University of Akron plays their home games at the Rubber Bowl. This former capital of the American auto industry is motoring along as best as they can. The Toledo Rockets would probably say "if we can beat Michigan, we can beat anybody! Bring on Alabama and Texas Tech!" Their opponents wear blue, but the Akron Zips aren't anyone's BCS school. If you love basketball on grass, then this game was a pure shootout. Akron were standing tall after the smoke cleared. (47-30; AKRON)

FCS Starts Thursday
Schedule: THU-SAT

Division 2 Resumes Thursday
Remaining Schedule: THU and SAT

Division 3 Starts Friday
Schedule: FRI and SAT

The big match tomorrow night involves #23 Maryland at Virginia Tech, which may likely be the ESPN match. Out west, an interesting battle involves #11 Texas Christian playing at #10 Utah. And really, I see no way Maryland shows they can belong against a good Virginia Tech. That's going to be a no contest for me unless Maryland really plays with purpose. Surprisingly... they are 3-1 in conference and 6-2 overall. They still have a lot of convincing to do in a rather weak ACC conference race.

Find out who all wins in FBS, FCS, and Division 2 in my Thursday report. Thank you for reading! Questions and comments always welcome.

Sore throat or not, I always hope to be in the starting lineup to give out college football scores. I'll play hurt for all of you because I love GTPlanet and you people. Three divisions of football coming your way.

Division 1: FBS Scores

Blacksburg, Virginia - Maryland Shows Why They Belong in the Top 25 to Virginia Tech
* #23 Maryland {Terrapins} at Virginia Tech {Hokies}
The Hokies of Virginia Tech was last year's big story, but for all the wrong reasons. The Virginia Tech massacre of last year was absolutely horrific. There was a deal made in which teams entering Lane Stadium cheer for them because of all the outpouring of support. Well this time, they'll show no love for the #23 Terrapins, whom they may deem overrated. Virginia Tech shown exactly why Maryland was overrated despite quietly working towards a 6-2 record. (23-13; VIRGINIA TECH)

Salt Lake City, Utah - Utes Try to Stay Unbeaten Even Without Urban Meyer
* #11 TCU {Horned Frogs} at #10 Utah {Utes}
Some may argue that this should have been the ESPN game rather than an obvious VT beating of Maryland. CBS College Sports had the balls to show this game. Maybe the ESPN crew didn't think showing a critical non-BCS game wasn't as important as showing a BCS conference game. Anyhow, the Utes will try to remain unbeaten as they host the Texas Christian University Horned Frogs. Utah remains unbeaten, but they had to viciously fight for it. (13-10; #10 UTAH)

Division 1: FCS Scores
Time to experience the black college football experience. We got Howard playing at South Carolina State.

Orangeburg, South Carolina - Bulldogs Ready to Take a Bite Out of the Bison
* Howard {Bison} at South Carolina State {Bulldogs}
Washington, D.C. is where you can find Howard University. About the only other Washington, D.C. school that has football is [even more lowly] Georgetown University. The Bison usually are a guaranteed win (if not Georgetown). The Bulldogs of South Carolina State will defend home ground and have a little tailgate of their own by having Bison barbeque. Washington D.C. is alive with the President-Elect winning it all. Can D.C. be proud of their HBCU playing in Orangeburg? Don't be surprised if you switched to another channel during this game. The Bulldogs didn't need a field goal to shut up (and down) the Bison. (56-0; SOUTH CAROLINA STATE)

Division 2 Scores
Time to take a five-step drop and pass the pigskin over to Division 2. Only one game was played.

* Ouachita Baptist at Henderson State (43-36; Ouachita Baptist)

[B}Division 3 Starts Friday[/B}
Schedule: FRI and SAT

John's Student Lounge
A new addition was made to my family- a brand-new HDTV unit. It was to my surprise back on Wednesday night. Lot of people probably wish every TV in every bedroom and living room were an HDTV. All nice and shiny and everything. I doubt I'll be watching any games in high-definition on this unit. The old TV's been around since maybe 1995 for us. It's still cool to enjoy a high-def TV.

I've decided on my GAME OF THE WEEK. That GAME OF THE WEEK will involve #1 Alabama at #11 LSU. Call it the Saban Bowl. Nick Saban returns to his old school that he coached to great success... only that Death Valley has vultures in the skies as Alabama comes to Tiger Stadium. Will the LSU Tigers stun the Crimson Tide? Find out in my Saturday report. My Friday report will include action from all Divisions of NCAA football except D2. Check in Friday for my Friday report. Take care, everyone! And yes... I still have this sore throat. Yay.

President-Elect, Barack Obama, made his first news conference earlier Friday. He takes office in January and goes to work there. But for college football, a number of teams are going to take the field and go to work. The only FBS match was on the West Coast. We're going to The Valley.

FORGOT SOMETHING FROM YESTERDAY: Thursday was the 139th(?) birthday of college football.

Division 1: FBS Scores

Fresno, California - Fresno State Can Be Bowl Eligible With a Win
* Nevada {Wolfpack} at Fresno State {Bulldogs}
Fresno State was a ranked team at the start of the season. However, they've been lethargic as the Bulldogs were denied being a true BCS buster. Another pack of hounds are pulling into this arena as the Nevada Wolfpack want to knock Fresno State to reality. I'm sure they won't be tasting any of Fresno State's wine that they make. The game was 17-7 in favor of the Wolfpack after thirty minutes. And in the second half, Fresno State's offense failed to show up, and thus will not be bowl eligible with this win thanks to a Wolfpack whooping. (41-28; Nevada)

Division 1: FCS Scores
Hope you love Ivy League football.

Princeton, New Jersey - Tigers Try to Stand Strong Against Some Quakers
* Pennsylvania {Quakers} at Princeton {Tigers}
I didn't know this, but Brown is leading the Ivy League. I always thought Yale was the premier power of Ivy League football. Time to see which of these smart ass... uh, Ivy League schools get the "W." The Quakers tamed Princeton's Tigers in a close fight. (14-9; Pennsylvania)

Division 2 Resumes Saturday

Division 3 Scores
Just one score here as well. Here's your lone D3 result:

* Williamson Trade at Gallaudet (40-6; GALLAUDET)

That's all for Friday. Remember that my GAME OF THE WEEK involves Alabama's trip to LSU. Alabama is tops in the nation as a ferocious pack of LSU Tigers are ready to feast on Crimson Tide meat. Can the Tigers stun the #1 team in the land? And can Texas Tech survive Oklahoma State? This and more in my Saturday report. Take care and have a great weekend! Go see a game Saturday or even go to a game.

I'm feeling better now. Hope you're feeling great. That is, unless you know if your favorite team lost. I give you college football! Come along now, boys and girls!

Division 1: FBS Scores
The Game of the Week isn't in Texas, but to one of my next-door neighbor states, Louisiana.

Baton Rouge, Louisiana - The Saban Bowl Kicks Off
* #1 Alabama {Crimson Tide} at #15 Louisiana State {Tigers}
Kiss of death! LSU and Clemson's fields are known as Death Valley. But really, playing as the Away team at LSU is suicide. The Tigers don't like teams that aren't the Home team. Not even other Tiger teams. LSU hates crimson, especially the Crimson Tide. But guess what? Alabama doesn't mind knocking out LSU... even if it took Overtime. (27-21, OT; #1 Alabama)

Lubbock, Texas - Red Raiders Continue to Pound the Ball Against All Opposition and Against All Odds
* #9 Oklahoma State {Cowboys} at #2 Texas Tech {Red Raiders}
There will be no doubt that Texas Tech has inside line on the Big XII South. The Red Raiders can just win out and make their trip to the BCS National Championship game. The Cowboys had to concede to the greatness that is Texas Tech as they are the of-the-moment team. (56-20; #2 TEXAS TECH)

Iowa City, Iowa - Penn State Fights to Stay Alive in the BSC... Uh, BCS
* #3 Penn State {Nittany Lions} at Iowa {Hawkeyes}
I heard all week long about how Penn State's trip to Iowa City "concerns" Joe Paterno and his Nittany Lions. Iowa had been an exceptional fail in the Big Ten in recent years. A win at home for the Hawkeyes means the black and gold will have something to celebrate. Party your asses off, Hawkeye faithful! You dun dun it! Slaying the Nittany Lions in a tight fit. (24-23; IOWA)

Lexington, Kentucky - Are the Wildcats in Such an Uphill Battle When Georgia Comes to Town?
* #14 Georgia {Bulldogs} at Kentucky {Wildcats}
FoolKiller time. The Wildcats proudly wear their beautiful blue colors to try to hand the Georgia Bulldogs a Kentucky-sized can of whoop-ass. Kentucky fought as hard as they could, but Georgia was four points better. (42-38; Georgia)

SIDE NOTE - Kentucky falls to 6-4 with this loss. Up next, they get to host the fall-on-their-face Vanderbilt Commodores.

Nashville, Tennessee - Commodores Try to Stay Afloat Despite a Mediocre Season
* #4 Florida {Gators} at Vanderbilt {Commodores}
(42-17; #4 Florida)

Now for the terrible disappointment that is the University of Tennessee.

Knoxville, Tennessee - SEC Teams Should be Able to Beat Mountain West Teams, Right?
* Wyoming {Cowboys} at Tennessee {Volunteers}
If you think Michigan has been a terrible disappointment, trust me. Tennessee is much worse. Neyland Stadium is a tough place to play. However, it's not as tough a place to play if the home team isn't producing. That's the case with the Tennessee Volunteers as they will hope to get the blood pumping as they host lowly Wyoming. The Oklahoma State Cowboys lost their match. Will the WYOMING Cowboys lose theirs? [/B]Tennessee's only points came by way of a touchdown in the third quarter. Wyoming embarassed Volunteer Nation more than they are embarassed. In their defense, at least this wasn't a blowout.[/B] (13-7, Wyoming)

Tennessee's remaining schedule:
11/22 - at Vanderbilt (RIVALRY GAME)
11/29 - Kentucky

Minneapolis, Minnesota - Michigan Seeks Their Third Win and Ownership of the Little Brown Jug
* Michigan {Wolverines} at Minnesota {Golden Gophers} --- RIVALRY: Little Brown Jug ---
Time for the Little Brown Jug! Chris Fowler on ESPN College GameDay joked that Michigan may want to pour some Cognac into the Little Brown Jug, drink from it, and forget this season ever happened. Well, the Wolverines are trying to avoid something- having eight losses in a season. In over 129 years of Michigan football, the Wolverines have NEVER finished with eight losses. The worst that can be done is that they reach their own personal abyss. Minnesota wants to add a little more dirt onto Michigan's season. Thing is, the Golden Gophers weren't the brightest rodents as Michigan handed Minnesota their butts while making sure Minnesota's butts didn't get a touchdown. The Michigan we know and love came to play today. (29-6; Michigan)

SIDE NOTE - Michigan's Remaining Schedule is coming up. Much kudos to Michigan if they can win these last two games:

11/15 - Northwestern
11/22 - at Ohio State

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania - Steel City Ready to Raise a Steel Curtain of a Different Kind
* Louisville {Cardinals} at #25 Pittsburgh {Panthers}
Black and red playing at blue and old gold. We got the once smashmouth Louisville Cardinals taking on a city full of character. You can go to PNC Park to enjoy Pirates baseball (beautiful ballpark!). You can enjoy Steelers football in the NFL at Hines Field. But in college, you're screwing with the Pittsburgh Panthers at Hines Field. Louisville has a weakness- put some steel against Louisville! It really works! Try it today! (41-7; #25 PITTSBURGH)

Morgantown, West Virginia - Mountaineers Ready to Rough Up Cincinnati a Little Bit
* Cincinnati {Bearcats} at West Virginia {Mountaineers}
Sam Houston State calls them Bearkats, but former National Champions, Cincinnati, are the Bearcats. They have to deal with some Mountaineer

Time to talk ACC now.

Chapel Hill, North Carolina - Tar Heels' Football Finally Catch Up With Their Other Sports
* #22 Georgia Tech {Yellow Jackets} at #19 North Carolina {Tar Heels}
The kings of Atlanta will take on the boys from Tobacco Road. It's okay to associate the Tar Heels with basketball (men or women), but did you know their football team is actually playing and winning for once? They'll try to prove that against the Yellow Jackets of Georgia Tech. North Carolina keeps their great string of success going with a win at home against some tough boys from Atlanta. (28-7; #19 NORTH CAROLINA)

Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts - Did the New Doug Flutie Statue at BC Intimidate Notre Dame?
* Notre Dame {Fighting Irish} at Boston College {Eagles} --- RIVALRY: Holy War ---
Notre Dame's Fighting Irish shown no fight at all. Maybe the Eagles flew too high into the air for Notre Dame to do much of anything. (17-0; BOSTON COLLEGE)

DID YOU KNOW...
...that Notre Dame and Boston College are the only Catholic universities in FBS?

For Your Information...
Relive "Hail Mary" by watching this YouTube video (unless you're a Miami fan):

My congratulations to Doug Flutie. That statue is outside Boston College's football stadium for a reason. Well done.

Miami, Florida - Florida International DOESN'T Stink?
* Arkansas State {Red Wolves} at Florida International {Golden Panthers}
The Golden Panthers were... golden in taming Arkansas State's Red Wolves. (22-21; FLORIDA INTERNATIONAL)

Troy, Alabama - Western Kentucky's Maturation Into FBS Isn't Going to Get Any Easier in Alabama
* Western Kentucky {Hilltoppers} at Troy {Trojans}
The Troy Trojans were 10 points better than the Hilltoppers from Bowling Green, Kentucky. (17-7; TROY)

Houston, Texas - Houston Can't Afford to Look Ahead to Tulsa Next Week
* Tulane {Green Wave} at Houston {Cougars}
Pretty unusual for me to end with teams from my hometown, huh? The Cougars probably looked ahead to Tulsa knowing that the Tulane Green Wave was tattered and torn in the eyes of some hungry Cougars. (42-14; HOUSTON)

Houston, Texas - Houston's Other FBS School Meets a Former Three-Time National Champion
* Army {Black Knights} at Rice {Owls}
The Rice Owls played a much closer game than what Houston did in eviscerating Tulane. Still, the Black Knights of Army got blacked out by Rice and their awesome offense. (38-31; RICE)

Division 1: FCS Scores
I don't usually spend much time in any other division unless I've gotten around to seeing the game. I'll start off with black college football scores.

* Bethune-Cookman at Hampton (17-6; Bethune-Cookman) <<< Hampton is 5-4
* Prairie View A&M at Alabama A&M (24-10; Prairie View A&M)
* Florida A&M at North Carolina A&T (45-7; Florida A&M)
* Jackson State at Alabama State (20-0; Jackson State)
* Winston-Salem State at Delaware State (27-26; Winston-Salem State)
* Mississippi Valley State at Texas Southern (58-44; Mississippi Valley State)
* Eastern Illinois at Tennessee State (45-24; TENNESSEE STATE) <<< the ONLY FCS HBCU to win at home today?
* Appalachian State at Chattanooga (49-7; Appalachian State)
* Western Illinois at Southern Illinois (24-14; SOUTHERN ILLINOIS)
* Texas State at Southeastern Louisiana (38-24; Texas State)
* Jacksonville at Valparaiso (40-24; Jacksonville)
* San Diego at Davidson (28-24; San Diego)
* Yale at Brown (13-3; Yale) <<< Brown was leading Ivy League
* Dayton at Butler (28-21, OT; Dayton)
* Marist at Georgetown (13-12; GEORGETOWN) <<< Georgetown would easily win in basketball against Marist (not to say Marist isn't a good basketball school)

Division 2 Scores
Toss the rock to Division 2. Let's let Division 2 show off what they can do.

* Southern Connecticut State at #18 American International (27-17; Southern Connecticut)
* Michigan Tech at Northwood (25-13; Michigan Tech)
* Grand Valley State at Wayne State (of MI) (24-10; #1 Grand Valley State)
* Findlay at #19 Ashland (45-38; #10 ASHLAND)
* Merrimack at Assumption (34-7; Merrimack)
* Kutztown at #17 IUP (34-7; #17 INDIANA UNIVERSITY OF PENNSYLVANIA)
* Kentucky State at Morehouse (58-55, OT; MOREHOUSE) <<< Morehouse is an all-male historically-black college; alma mater of the person whom I share a birthday with- Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
* West Liberty at #22 Seton Hill (35-32; West Liberty)
* #14 Carson-Newman at Tusculum (45-44; TUSCULUM)
* Mars Hill at #23 Wingate (45-42; Mars Hill)

* West Virginia Wesleyan at West Virginia State (31-24, OT; WEST VIRGINIA STATE)
* Lincoln (of MO) at Kentucky Wesleyan (36-14; KENTUCKY WESLEYAN)
* Southwest Baptist at Missouri S&T (63-23; MISSOURI UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY) <<< MS&T known as the Miners
* Minnesota-Crookston at Upper Iowa (37-36, 2OT; UPPER IOWA)
* Mesa State at Nebraska-Kearney (63-10; NEBRASKA-KEARNEY)
* #15 West Chester at #8 CUP (47-36; CALIFORNIA UNIVERSITY OF PENNSYLVANIA)
* #19 Tarleton State at #9 West Texas A&M (51-0; #9 WEST TEXAS A&M)
#4 Delta State at West Georgia (68=10; #4 Delta State)

Division 3 Scores
Time to hand the ball off to Division 3 to see how they roll. We begin with the Top 5 teams in D3. Then, I'll mostly focus on the Top 25.

* #1 Mount Union at #12 Otterbein (49-20; #1 Mount Union) <<< the Mount Union Purple Raiders
* Augustana at #2 North Central (of IL) (41-28; #2 NORTH CENTRAL OF ILLINOIS) <<< the North Central (of IL) Cardinals
* #3 Wabash at Hiram (63-0; #3 Wabash) <<< the Wabash Little Giants
* Colorado College at #4 Millsaps (50-6; #4 MILLSAPS) <<< the Millsaps Majors
* Wisconsin-Stout at #5 Wisconsin-Whitewater (17-10; #5 WISCONSIN-WHITEWATER) <<< the Wisconsin-Whitewater Warhawks
* Howard Payne at #8 Mary Hardin-Baylor (67-0; #8 MARY HARDIN-BAYLOR)
* #16 Trinity (of TX) at Centre (26-17; CENTRE)
* Hobart at #20 RPI (20-17; Hobart)
* #24 Thomas More at Geneva (17-13; GENEVA)

Winners and losers coming in my next post! Stay tuned.

John's Winners and Losers
I was feeling better and headed to bed... until I forgot to take some Sudafed tablets to get over my sore throat and coughing problems. So here now is your Winners and Losers list that's been very delayed.

BIGGEST WIN(S) OF THE WEEK - (tie) #1 Alabama Survives Even if Sixty Minutes Weren't Enough in Baton Rouge and
The last time I checked the Alabama at LSU game, LSU led 14-7 with about five minutes left in the half. What happened through the game I wasn't able to see. Alabama stood tall in retaining their #1 status. This is kind of a different SEC story since LSU was #1 last year and lost at Kentucky in triple overtime. You shouldn't be playing at SEC schools if you're not willing to earn your wins on the field against SEC teams.

The other big win involves Michigan. They win by making sure the Golden Gophers don't enter the end zone. Minnesota is a vastly-improved team from last year. Michigan got themselves a lovely win.

MOST DISAPPOINTING LOSS(ES) OF THE WEEK - Tennessee Loses to WYOMING!
It's the Wyoming Cowboys! It was a close score, but Tennessee solidified themselves as the biggest disappointments in all of FBS college football. Think Washington is poor? Think Michigan is poor? Think again. Maybe Tennessee should pretend this season never happened.

UPSET(S) OF THE WEEK (if any) - After a Bye Week, #3 Penn State Loses at Iowa, Ending Penn State's Unbeaten Record
Kinnick Stadium was alive with black and gold as the Hawkeyes were golden in taking down those Blue and Vanilla White Nittany Lions. BIG Win for a team that had been a disappointment in the past.

OWNAGE(S) OF THE WEEK - (D3) #8 Mary Hardin-Baylor pounds Howard Payne 68-0
The Mary Hardin-Baylor Crusaders went on a crusade to banish Howard Payne beyond recognition. Mission accomplished.

Howard Payne = OWNED 67-0 by #8 Mary Hardin-Baylor!

I usually end with a music video if I can find a good one. This time, I figured I'd show you the acceptance speech President-Elect Barack Obama gave at Grant Park in Chicago:

Next week's thread will come along when it's complete. Thank you for reading!
