Even with college basketball coming back into form, college football is still going to be hot topic for all college football fans. Get ready for a wild ride. Wild ride best describes last week, with a number of teams going down. Get ready for one of the most intense knock down, drag-out weeks of college football.

This is the week where Iowa, Oregon, and Notre Dame all try to rebound from tough losses. This is the week where highly-ranked teams try to stay alive despite all the insanity college football can provide. This is the week where past #1 teams like Richmond (FCS) and North Alabama (D2) try to get back on their feet and play hard despite being upset. This is where Boise State and TCU still have a case to crash the BCS party. Welcome to the new week!

This Week's Schedule:
FBS: SUN, TUE-SAT ( http://www.ncaa.com/teams/m-footbl/scoreboards/all/all-d-fbs-scoreboard-week-11-09-2009.html )
FCS: THU and SAT ( http://www.ncaa.com/teams/m-footbl/scoreboards/all/all-d-fcs-scoreboard-week-11-09-2009.html )
D2: SAT only ( http://www.ncaa.com/teams/m-footbl/scoreboards/all/all-d-ii-scoreboard-week-11-09-2009.html )
D3: SAT only ( http://www.ncaa.com/teams/m-footbl/scoreboards/all/all-d-iii-scoreboard-week-11-09-2009.html )

San José, California - Spartans Seek Victory Against Ravenous Wolfpack
* Nevada {Wolfpack} at San Jose State {Spartans}
This one is all about two states- Nevada and California. Get ready for a WAC-ky ride when these two get ready to tangle on the gridiron. The Nevada Wolfpack represent Reno like it's no big thang, yo. They cool like that. So is San Jose. The Spartans roll 53 deep and not afraid of no wack puppies out of Nevada, you dig? If you want to keep using 'hood terms, then you could say that San Jose State got ventilated proper. This was a beat down. I may have my OWNAGE OF THE WEEK unless somebody else puts on a bigger beating. (62-7; Nevada)

* FCS begins Thursday
* Divisions 2 and 3 begins Saturday

NFL Focus
Here's a look at the NFL from Sunday's games.

Indianapolis, Indiana - Texans Seek to Become AFC South Contenders
* Houston Texans at Indianapolis Colts
The Texans had penalties aplenty, came back to pose a threat... and lost the game on a missed 42-yard field goal. I was pissed off that we didn't force overtime, but the Colts are the Colts. (20-17; INDIANAPOLIS COLTS)

Elsewhere in the NFL:
* San Diego Chargers at New York Giants (20-21; San Diego Chargers)
* Detroit Lions at Seattle Seahawks (32-20; SEATTLE SEAHAWKS)
* Tennessee Titans at San Francisco 49ers (34-27; Tennessee Titans)
* Carolina Panthers at New Orleans Saints (30-20; NEW ORLEANS SAINTS)
* Green Bay Packers at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (38-28; TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS)
* Miami Dolphins at New England Patriots (27-17; NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS)
* Balitmore Ravens at Cincinnati Bengals (17-7; CINCINNATI BENGALS)
* Washington Redskins at Atlanta Falcons (31-17; ATLANTA FALCONS)
* Arizona Cardinals at Chicago Bears (41-21; Arizona Cardinals)
* Dallas Cowboys at Philadelphia Eagles --- SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL --- (20-16; Dallas Cowboys)

If you're an NFL fan, Pittsburgh at Denver is Monday Night Football.

Long week ahead. I'll be here to talk college football all week long. Come on in and let's chat college football!

Heisman thought anyone ?

I'm going with Colt McCoy,Quarterback,University of Texas.

I would at least give votes to Case Keenum (HOU, QB), but since nobody cares about non-BCS schools, I don't think Keenum will ever get any national love, despite the fact we beat Oklahoma State on the road and Texas Tech at home.

I'm going to start doing quick highlights for when they aren't a lot of games going on. You won't get the big, fancy highlights, but you will get a quick briefing of who all won.

Buffalo, New York - Bulls Ready to Trample Some Bobcats
* Ohio {Bobcats} at Buffalo {Bulls}
The Bobcats came out of western New York state with a victory over a game Buffalo Bulls squad. (27-24; Ohio)

Later tonight, it's more MAC action as the Toledo Rockets will play at MAC powerhouse, the Chippewas of Central Michigan. Enjoy your college football!

Here's a quick report from last night...

* Toledo {Rockets} at Central Michigan {Chippewas}
The Chippewas completely dismantled the Toledo Rockets. The CMU QB even got some rushing touchdowns. Great win for CMU! (56-28; CENTRAL MICHIGAN)

A number of football games are on the way for tonight. Hope you enjoy the action tonight!

A few universities want to try on some new uniforms this weekend or so. If you haven't seen it, check this out: http://friendsoftheprogram.net/2009...e-complete-collection-with-slogans/#more-7925 . What do you make of these outfits? Oh, that's right... you want football scores? I got 'em! What can I do for you?

--- Division FBS Scores ---

Piscataway, New Jersey - Bulls Romp Their Way Into New Jersey
* #23 South Florida {Bulls} at Rutgers {Scarlet Knights}
Get ready for the big clash in the Big East. Rutgers is ready to take on South Florida. The Bulls of the University of South Florida are a hardened bunch of football players that don't take crap from anybody. While USF rocks green and gold, Rutgers is all about the scarlet. These Scarlet Knights of the Round Table are ready to swing their own Excalibur through the hearts of USF. South Florida made the kind of history they didn't want to make- failing to light up the scoreboard. This is the first EVER time they've been blanked in the 13-year history of South Florida football. (31-0; SOUTH FLORIDA)

DeKalb, Illinois - Indiana Meets Illinois in a MAC Showdown
* Ball State {Cardinals} at Northern Illinois {Huskies}
Both teams wear red, but one team will leave this game with a win. The Ball State Cardinals were a pleasant surprise last season. Key phrase: LAST SEASON. This season, they are nowhere near the surprising form that eventually became MAC Champions Runners Up. The Cardinals are ready to stick it to NIU. The NIU Huskies welcome ANY challenge and aren't going to let the NCAA's ugliest Cardinal logo run all over Northern Illinois. The Huskies were treated to a delicious Cardinal dinner at game's end. (26-20; NORTHENR ILLINOIS)

Oxford, Ohio - An In-State MAC War is Ready to Ensue
* Bowling Green State {Falcons} at Miami University {Redhawks}
Bowling Green State University and Miami University are ready to clash proper. The Falcons soar into the air seeking to decimate lowly Miami on the ground and in the air. Miami University knows their season is over, but the Redhawks aren't going down in this dogfight. The Falcons were the more majestic fowl on this night. (35-14; Bowling Green State)

--- Division FCS Scores ---
After three games either in New England or in the Midwest, it's time to come down south for a little Southern cooking!

Grambling, Louisiana - It's a Tiger Bowl in the SWAC
* Texas Southern {Tigers} at Jackson State {Tigers}
Grambling State University is ready to host Texas Southern. Texas Southern University can be found here in Houston, Texas; and it's just down the street from the University of Houston's main campus. The Tigers know they have a fight on their hands when dealing with Grambling State. The GSU Tigers wear their black and gold with pride as they host Texas Southern. An offensive fist fight saw Grambling State prove to be the better Tigers on this night. (47-33; GRAMBLING STATE)

Divisions 2 and 3 start Saturday

Tomorrow night, I'll let you know if Cincinnati remains unbeaten when they host West Virginia. That's all from me. Take care!

Two games in Ohio were played tonight. I want to know who won these games as much as you do. So let's see who all won tonight's matches!

--- Division FBS Scores ---
Ohio love for all of you. Here's your FBS fix.

Cincinnati, Ohio - Bearcats' Road to Pasadena Faces a Blue and Gold Speedbump
* #25 West Virginia {Mountaineers} at #5 Cincinnati {Bearcats}
Nippert Stadium is where this game takes place. Cincinnati is a place where you can enjoy Bengals' football and Reds' baseball among other sports. The game atop the menu in Cincy is college football. The Bearcats are purring and roaring loudly in their hopes of making the BCS National Championship game. To do this, they'll need to shut down West Virginia. While West Virginia hasn't been their former selves under Pat White and with Steve Slaton (who plays for my Houstons Texans in the NFL), the Mountaineers still know how to handle the pigskin and play to win. Cincinnati's road to the BCS National Championship was a little softer as Cincinnati gets a tough win at home. (24-21; #5 CINCINNATI)

Akron, Ohio - Newborn and Resurgent, Temple Looks to Keep a Great Thing Going
* Temple {Owls} at Akron {Zips}
Like bats out of Hell, Temple University is somehow better than ever. The team that would constantly get beaten and trounced have now come into their own in the MAC. This, after a failed campaign in the Big East back in 2004(?). Now, the Owls are doing great this season. Looking to halt Temple's momentum is Akron. LeBron James may be from Akron, Ohio; but the Zips would love nothing more than to slam dunk the way LeBron does. The only team that got rim-racked was Akron. Believe it or not, this is Temple's EIGHTH straight win. (56-17; Temple)

FCS Continues Saturday; Division 2 and Division 3 begin Saturday

Go see a game this weekend! Or even better, GO to a game! There are plenty of games to check out this weekend in all divisions of NCAA football and even including non-NCAA teams. So go see a game, players! Have a happy and safe weekend!

My GAME OF THE WEEK will involve Utah at TCU. TCU faces a stern test when Utah comes to Fort Worth.

I got a few early highlights. This post may be updated with other recent results. My next post will be my full report...

* Houston upset at Central Florida, 37-32. UCF's first-ever win against ANY ranked team. But damn it to hell, does it HAVE to be against a f:censored:ing Houston team? I guess this will get played over and over like when Phi Slamma Jamma couldn't beat North Carolina State or Georgetown.
* Minnesota wins 16-13 against South Dakota State.
* Back-to-back losing seasons at Michigan, as #21 Wisconsin beat the Wolverines 45-24.
* Texas hammers Baylor 47-14 in Waco.
* #7 Georgia Tech clinches their ACC Division with a 49-10 beat down of Duke.
* Kentucky handles Vanderbilt 24-13 in Nashville.

I'm obviously mad as hell about my Houston Cougars losing, but that's what happened so far. That's my report for now. Stay tuned for my full report when it's complete!

How about Indiana beating Penn State 10-0 in the first quarter? PSU couldn't do anything right until the half, then they came back to win it.

You know, if Stanford would just play as well as they do against USC they could be the ones trying to back to back.

Glad to see we will at least be in a bowl.

Indianapolis? That's a Division 2 school (University of Indianapolis). Didn't you mean Indiana University?

Saturdays don't have to be boring. After all, college football's on the airwaves and on the Internet! Are you ready to go on a nationwide tour of college football? I knew you were! :) Bear in mind that not every score will have some detailed story. You may just see who wins rather than something really detailed. Having said this, let's do football!

--- Division FBS Scores ---
I'm going to begin with the GAME OF THE WEEK, which features the biggest matchup of them all. And, oh... it is NOT in a BCS conference. I'm actually going to start with the ten schools that have featured the new Nike Pro Combat uniforms. If you missed the link I posted, check this out: http://friendsoftheprogram.net/2009...e-complete-collection-with-slogans/#more-7925 . Let's begin!

*** Nike Pro Combat Uniform Pack ***
(teams wearing the special uniforms are underlined)
Fort Worth, Texas - Horned Frogs Can Taste BCS Bowl as Long as Utah Doesn't Crush Those Dreams
* #16 Utah {Utes} at #4 TCU {Horned Frogs} --- GAME OF THE WEEK ---
This game has huge BCS implications and is the most interesting matchup of all today. The Utah Utes will look to bring TCU back down to earth. But there's one problem... the Horned Frogs are enjoying their unbeaten streak. Find out who gets it done tonight by watching this game. At about 9:00 left in the game, TCU lead 48-21 over the Utes. TCU took Utah's lunch money and beat them up (and down).

FINAL SCORE:
#16 Utah - 28
#4 Texas Christian - 55

College Park, Maryland - Hokies Ain't Never Scared of No Terps!
* #20 Virginia Tech {Hokies} at Maryland {Terrapins}
Now let's head to Maryland to continue on this ten-pack of games. The Hokies are loving life in the top 25.(36-9; #20 Virginia Tech)

Columbus, Ohio - Hawkeyes Step Into a Jungle of Scarlet and Gray
* #10 Iowa {Hawkeyes} at #11 Ohio State {Buckeyes}
The game took Overtime, and Ohio State is heading to Pasadena to play in the Rose Bowl. (27-24, OT; #11 OHIO STATE)

3-0 so far for the new uniform guys. Let's see if the trend continues...

Winston-Salem, North Carolina - Bobby Bowden's Boys Invade Winston-Salem
* Florida State {Seminoles} at Wake Forest {Demon Deacons}
(41-28; Florida State)

Norman, Oklahoma - No 12th Man Allowed in Norman... Can Texas A&M Still Survive?
* Texas A&M {Aggies} at Oklahoma {Sooners}
A few years ago, Oklahoma hammered Texas A&M 77-0. This was another OU beat down of Texas A&M. The Aggies can't buy a break against the Sooners... (65-10; OKLAHOMA)[/COLOR]

Columbia, South Carolina - Gamecocks Ready to Get Cocky in Taking Down Florida
* #1 Florida {Gators} at South Carolina {Gamecocks}
(24-14; #1 Florida)

Waco, Texas - Baylor Dreams of Finally Beating Texas on the Football Field
* #2 Texas {Longhorns} at Baylor {Bears}
(47-14; #2 Texas)

Baton Rouge, Louisiana - Cats and Dogs Play in Baton Rouge
* Louisiana Tech {Bulldogs} at #9 LSU {Tigers}
It was close, but LSU persevered and survived. (24-16; #9 LOUISIANA STATE)

Manhattan, Kansas - Wildcats and Tigers Clash... a Win-Win for All Cat Lovers!
* Missouri {Tigers} at Kansas State {Wildcats}
(38-12; Missouri)

Chapel Hill, North Carolina - The Boys of Tobbaco Road Look to Snuff Out Miami
* #12 Miami {Hurricanes} at North Carolina {Tar Heels}
Fireworks! Storm the field! North Carolina stuns the Miami Hurricanes! The Tar Heels completed their upset bid over Miami (33-24; NORTH CAROLINA)

So of the ten teams with these special uniforms, only Miami lost.
-end "Nike Pro Combat pack"

Now let's go elsewhere around the nation.

Dallas, Texas - Texas Clash Sees Mustangs Playing Around with Miners
* UTEP {Miners} at SMU {Mustangs}
The Miners of the University of Texas-El Paso left the Sun Bowl to do battle in Big D. The SMU Mustangs are looking to stay competent in the C-USA West. A great win was had by the SMU Mustangs to keep pace with Houston. (35-31; SOUTHERN METHODIST)

Orlando, Florida - Central Florida Ready to Collectively Slay a C-USA Monster
* #13 Houston {Cougars} at UCF {Golden Knights}
The University of Houston has overcome various difficult odds. Now, they must deal with crazy fans at UCF and their beloved black and gold boys. The Houston Cougars came from behind to win at Tulsa. Now, can they work magic at the Central Florida Golden Knights? Any outside hope of a BCS Bowl has been slain as Houston lost to a much better opponent than UTEP. (37-32; CENTRAL FLORIDA)

SIDE NOTE:
The news gets worse for Houston as SMU currently leads C-USA West with five conference wins compared to Houston's four conference wins. The season may all be a lost cause if things don't turn around for Houston.

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania - Which Coach Wants it More?
* Notre Dame {Fighting Irish} at #12 Pittsburgh {Panthers}
Both teams rock blue and gold. Both have been national champions before. Neither team is in any way a true powerhouse. So when two teams have almost nothing to lose, how do you live with yourself? Simple- beat the other team! That's what the Pittsburgh Panthers want to do to the star-crossed Fighting Irish. It was close, but Pitt came out on top. I'm sure ESPN's Mark May is proud to see his Panthers get her done against Notre Dame. (27-22; #12 PITTSBURGH)

Berkley, California - Wildcats Head Into the Bay Area Thinking Win
* #18 Arizona {Wildcats} at California {Wildcats}
(24-16; CALIFORNIA)

Los Angeles, California - Is It a Cardinal Sin to Play Against USCal?
* #25 Stanford {Cardinal} at #11 USCal {Trojans}
No, this is NOT a typo! Your eyes are working fine! Just too bad USCal's Trojans aren't working fine as the Stanford Cardinal eviscerated USCal. How come they couldn't do this in past games
? (55-21; #25 Stanford)

Nashville, Tennessee - UK Ready to Eviscerate VU[/U]
* Kentucky {Wildcats} at Vanderbilt {Commodores}
Nashville had its Country Music Awards earlier this week. And while Taylor Swift (whom I'm a fan of) was the story, Vanderbilt is all about beating any team that comes their way, including Kentucky. GTPlanet's proudest Kentucky Wildcat is FoolKiller. Can his Wildcats head into Nashville and take down the Commodores of Vanderbilt University? Kentucky did a great job of keeping Vandy off the scoreboard in the second half to leave Nashville with a win. (24-13; Kentucky)

Madison, Wisconsin - Wolverines' Hopes of Making a Bowl Game Again Depends on Their Efforts at Wisconsin
* Michigan {Wolverines} at #21 Wisconsin {Badgers}
Mean beasts and cuddly rodents... what's not to love? The Michigan Wolverines are chomping at the bit to keep any hope of a winning season alive. Camp Randall Stadium, however, isn't a hospital for Michigan's woes. The Badgers, if anything, are looking to compound Michigan's woes. I bet Michigan fans wished Lloyd Carr would have stuck around a few more years after this beat down. (45-24; #21 WISCONSIN)

Minneapolis, Minnesota - Jackrabbits Pay a Visit to Minnesota's Beautiful Football Stadium
* South Dakota State {Jackrabbits} at Minneapolis {Golden Gophers}
Time to chat about two kinds of animals. South Dakota State headed up to Minneapolis looking to befuddle the University of Minnesota. The Jackrabbits hopped their way into Minneapolis to try to pull the dupe over Minnesota. The Golden Gophers of Minnesota look to remain golden when SoDaSU comes to town. The Golden Gophers were the better animals on this day as the Jackrabbits were put down in a close game. (16-13; MINNESOTA)

Ypsilanti, Michigan - West Meets East in This Battle in the Great Lakes State
* Western Michigan {Broncos} at Eastern Michigan {Eagles}
Michigan will win this game, but WHICH? The Broncos think they can stampede all over EMU. The Eagles know that you can't stampede all over anything that flies into the air. Maybe Broncos have wings because the Eagles were trampled on. (35-14; Western Michigan)

Champaign, Illinois - Still Rivals, but No Longer Playing for the Sweet Sioux Tomahawk
* Northwestern {Wildcats} at Illinois {Fighting Illini}
According to Wikipedia: "The NCAA mandated that all Native American imagery deemed hostile and abusive must be removed from college athletics, including the Sweet Sioux Tomahawk." So this is still a rivalry, just no longer for the Sweet Sioux Tomahawk. Doesn't matter. The Wildcats still hate the Illinois Fighting Illini with all their hearts. Northwestern left UIUC with a lovely win after upsetting Iowa last week. (21-16; Northwestern)

Athens, Georgia - The Deep South's Oldest Rivaly is New Again
* Auburn {Tigers} at Georgia {Bulldogs}
What happens when border states just don't like each other? RIVALRY! The Auburn Tigers are the kinds of animals Athens, Georgia hates. UGA even wants a piece of the Tigers. Since it would be animal abuse for a real bulldog to take on some Tigers wearing shoulder pads and helmets, UGA decided it's best for the Georgia Bulldogs to take care of Auburn. Georgia was the better team as Auburn didn't have enough to win (31-24; GEORGIA)

Reno, Nevada - Bulldogs of a Different Breed Ready to Dance With a Wolfpack
* Fresno State {Bulldogs} at Nevada {Wolfpack}
I guess these Bulldogs from Fresno State were wearing dentures because they couldn't do much of anything playing at the Nevada Wolfpack (52-14; NEVADA)

Honolulu, Hawaii - Aggies in Look to be in Paradise by Beating Some Warriors
* New Mexico State {Aggies} at Hawaii {[Rainbow] Warriors}
Time to throw down in paradise to close out the FBS scores! Hawaii's Warriors took great care of the New Mexico State Aggies. (24-6; HAWAII)

--- Division FCS Scores ---
Let's breeze through these! Hold on to your plane tickets because we're getting some frequent flyer miles going around the nation.

* South Dakota State at California Polytechnical (50-48; South Dakota)

* Moravian at Muhlenberg (7-0; MUHLENBERG)

That's all for the Saturday report. What's next? Right! Winners and Losers.

John's Winners and Losers
Or as it's basically referred- biggest upset and biggest blowout. Here are my picks this time around:

My UPSET OF THE WEEK is...
...(tie) #7 New Hampshire losing at William and Mary; #7 Case Western Reserve embarassed hosting Washington University

I could just give it to #7 Case Western Reserve's upset since they failed to show up at all.

My OWNAGE OF THE WEEK is...
...Nevada's 62-7 pounding of San Jose State!

I couldn't find a better "PWN" job than this for this week. So I'm giving it to Nevada's trouncing of San Jose State.

Now that the week is done, how about some music? I've recently become a fan of Andy Blueman, and this is my favorite of his:

^ "Roots" (Andy Blueman Remix)

That's all for this week. You all take care!

Did anyone esle see that "fumble" in the Notre Dame game?

I'm not a fan of them at all but they got screwed on that call.

Wow,what a week in the Big 10.A conference champ was crowned and is heading westward bound to Pasadena California to play in the Rose Bowl.

GREAT JOB BUCKEYES !!!!!

Columbus,Ohio, The stage was set,2 Big ten powerhouses were set to collide at the horseshoe.10th ranked Iowa Hawkeyes -vs- 11th ranked O.S.U.Buckeyes were poised to do battle in what was to be the game of the year in the Big 10.The winner takes it all game.A very hard fought battle right from the opening kick-off.Iowa without starting QB Ricky Stanzi put in a freshman QB by the name of James Vandenburg.Pressure,what pressure ? Your a freshman QB,your on the road in Columbus,Ohio.,your team is in a must win situation,your going up against one of the stingiest defenses in the Big 10,the title hopes are on the line,a trip to Pasadena is on the line.Will the young man choke ? I tell you what,,this guy felt no pressure at all.He came out ready to play,giving it all he had to give Iowa a much needed victory.James Vandenburg,I applause you.You gave a very gallant effort.You were anything but a freshman QB in a hostile environment,on the road,with so much on the line.A huge thumbs up to you a big pat on the back.This man has talent,and it showed.With Stanzi in his last year,this guy will step up nicely and fill some shoes.The Iowa QB situation of the future looks good.The game went into overtime,with O.S.U. coming out on top 27 - 24

Madison,Wisconsin. The Michigan Wolverines come to town in hopes of finding that elusive 6th victory which is needed to get a bowl bid.The Wisconsin Badgers needing a win to keep pace for a shot at the Big 10 title.Wisconsin hands out a good old fashioned butt whipping on the Wolverines,winning by a score of 45 - 24. This loss now puts the Wolverines staring down a barrell of a shotgun.They will host Big 10 champs Ohio State in the big house next weekend in hopes of a win to try to get that much needed victory and propel themselves into a bowl game.If Michigan fails,that will be 2 straight seasons without a bowl appearance for the Big Blue Machine.Very,very un-Michigan like to see this happen.True,they are rebuilding,but is there pressure on coach Rodriguez to produce something rather quickly.thinking that the U of M faithful are starting to get a little un-easy.

State College Pa. The Penn State Nittany Lions had to roar back against Indiana.That,they did.A nice rebound win for Penn State following a loss to the Buckeyes a week earlier.P.S.U. had to work for this one as noted and they came out on top of the Hoosiers by a score of 31 - 20.

Minnesota tops South Dakota State by a score of 16 - 13

Michigan State 40 - Purdue 37

Northwestern over Illinois 21 - 13

For more detail and video , please check out the Big Ten Network.

Once again , congratualations O.S.U. on a job well done.You have earned your 5th straight Big 10 title.This calls for a " script Ohio " as performed by the best damn band in the land.
