College: Where are/were you?

So, because I’m bored on a weeknight, and done with finals, I ask:

• If you already went to college, where’d you go?
• If you’re currently in college, where are you at?

Anyway, I’ve been far too obnoxious about advertising my school to have to tell any of you where I’m studying. (And in case you truly don’t know, it’s UCSD)

(And yes ITR, I know you made a thread about this, but it was just old enough that I didn’t want to bump it from its gravesite. Plus this thread purposely has a narrower focus.)

I went to Ivy Tech State College. It was ok. I didn't finish though. I was close to finishing but had to "drop out" to find a job to replace the one I lost at the time. I plan to go back to school next year but this time I plan to go to IUSB(Indiana University of South Bend).

I did construction design of the built enviroment at Stockport college.

I was supposed to do a course at Fielden park as well but I didn't have the time for it.

Broward Community College, University of South Florida, Florida Atlantic University, and University of Florida. I also taught a basic internet course for two semesters at Santa Fe Community College.

And now I'm a service writer. It's funny how life works out.

It's also called Hasselt University now with a new logo, but there are a lot of people complaining about the name change, because the university is situated in Diepenbeek and it's compfusing for foreign people because the old name is more wellknown.

Since I moved, so much has been builded there, it looks like it's a new buiseness center or something

You can't see the building if you go to the university. It's the only building on that road and i have to walk almost 5 minutes from the university bus stop.

I don't know which new buildings you mean, but there is a research center on the university campus which is built i think only a couple of years ago.

You know when you come from the traintrack when crossing the Steenweg?

And then you go over the traintrack, keep on untill you come to the university and you keep going, then, you see some sports center or something on the left but you still keep going, then there is an S-bend and just before you hit the speedbump after it, you can see those buildings on your left.

Wow, after 2 years, I still remember it pretty good

Well, I started at Western Kentucky University and then transferred to the University of Kentucky. I'm not sure if that hasn't been figured out by now though. My sig does kind of scream out GO CATS!!!

OT: I did my undergraduate degree at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, right about the time that Beth Steel was starting to die.

Then I got my Masters from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.

And then 24 more credits to finish my MS in the same.

I'm currently a Sophomore at Aquinas College here in Grand Rapids. It is a pretty small private school, technically "catholic," although we generally do not follow those rules anymore. I'm currently looking for a Major in Political Science, and a Minor in History, and hope to eventually be certified as a teacher, but whether or not that ends up happening is still up in the air.

Some photos of the campus, easily one of the most beautiful in the state this time of the year...

There is a creek or two that runs through the campus, and we have several ponds as well. That in the background is the Science Center (I think, sometimes it looks like the Library, lol), a building that I have yet to enter...

This is the front side of the Graduate Center where the new Library is also located. I've spent a lot of time in this building this year, and hope to more often in the near future. It is a lovely building.

This is the Cook Carriage House, otherwise known as "The Moose," which has been converted into a coffee house, theater for the students. I've only been there a few times, usually for meetings with other students or my professors, but it is a pretty good place to go if you need a break. But given how little I'm on campus, I'm maybe there once in a great while...

This is probably my favorite building on campus, Holmdene. This is the former President's home, but now contains most of the offices for professors (not all), and the office for the President and VP as well. You can't see it in this picture, but there are two stone lions that guard the two main doors. In the winter, they get their own little "houses" to stay "warm" in.

Okay, it isn't the best picture, but that is the top of the Academic Building at Aquinas. The building has been around for quite some time, dating back to the early part of the 20th century. About 85% of the classes at Aquinas are held in the three-story building, and it too is quite pretty to look at any time of year.

If I do end up getting my new digital camera for X-mas, I will take some more photos of the campus. As you can see, it is quite nice in the winter time.
