Collision disqualification warning: Too sensitive? Glitchy? Or plain flawed?

Apologies if I've missed a prior discussion.

I think I've mentioned elsewhere how I've had disqualification warnings (and then been DQed) for the most minor contact.

It's getting ridiculous now. Two successive races in Spain tonight and I've grazed (or been grazed by) another car at the beginning of the race and the warning had appeared. I've then been hit (not even hard) in the braking zone for a corner, when I've been in front, and been DQed for it! Most frustrating is that i was in pole for one and 5th for the other, so good win opportunities lost.

GT Sport is a game. It should be fun, entertaining, sometimes frustrating. It should punish me for poor decision-making. In all these ways it's the way GT Sport is most like real world motorsport. But these DQ penalties are ruining the experience. I'm no angel, and I sometimes dive up the inside of a corner when I should be more restrained, but these penalties are unwarranted.

Is anyone else suffering from these DQs or am I in a very small minority?

(It shouldn't be relevant - other than the likely risk of poor and dirty racing at lower levels - but I'm currently on a SR of B and fighting to stay out of C from these penalties, having been at A until a few days ago).

No, you're not the only one. Todat I got DQed 2 times during B daily race because I've been hit (hard) 2 times from the back, appeared the message "next contact will cause DQ" and then, for a tiny bump during the race (little contacts are normal) I got DQed.
How the hell is possible?

It doesn’t just happen because of a couple of hits.

Yes and if it truly has something has gone very wrong. I've seen loads of clear punts and the guilty party gets like 2 or 3 second penalties every time at worst, sometimes nothing. Getting hit by spinning or otherwise out of control cars gets you the same sort of penalties.

Lag should not be forgotten here though, yesterday a car actually jumped backwards into mine, they then went flying off and I got nothing for it, maybe because I shouldn't have hit them in the first place, I don't know but I was surprised I didn't get a big penalty. Other times I don't even touch a car and I get a SR down, there's no reason why it couldn't give out time penalties wrongly too and if you've already got some that could cause problems.

However I've never seen this warning yet and I've been hit clean off and around and accidently hit people off but the game just doesn't seem to care much about contact at all, if anything penalties seem too lenient to me apart from the ones that are just unfair, so I'm as baffled as you as to how and why people are able to get disqualified, surely you have to get 10+ seconds of penalties (maybe more) for that and you'd have to punt more than just a few cars off in a row to get that amount. I mean yesterday I watched a driver hit me and three other cars in one lap, he only had just under 7 seconds of penalties and had caused two cars to leave the track and himself as well for good measure. Is the penalty system stricter below SR S or something?

From now on I will record my races, you will see and you won't believe your eyes

Yes please do, I've been starting from the back a lot recently since the Catalunya corner avoiding that's been going on and have been amongst a lot of chaos and not once has it appeared a driver has been kicked or even got a lot of penalties so I'd like to know what's causing it to happen in your case.

I mean I hit a guy off and got 2 seconds, I got that when a car spun and speared into the side of me and another time when someone ran straight into the back of me, it seems to be a standard penalty for most contact.

The gaming is through repeated side swipes down the straights. You wont see it in SR S.
