colored tires

they've been out for a LOONG time...
they just now getting their "hype" tought because kuhmo had problems getting tires to still be...well "tires"...and smoke red...

Back when I first saw their add..they were supposed to have reds blues greens and yellows...

but....i've only seen reds.

yeah, seen that too.. I thought they were specifically being designed for drifters?
From what I understood, they're for street cars. :shrugs:
But I wouldnt mind having some cool tire smoke[As long as my tires are still black]. :)

They've been available for bikes now for a year or two in the UK. They aren't exactly thick on the ground, but I once saw a KTM supermoto running orange tyres. The problem was you could see the dirt on them very easily, made it look messy.

Ive seen the coloured bike tyres before, but I think everyone is refering to the red smoke car tyres from Kumho, the actual tyre colour is still black.

They were made with drifting in mind. Specifically, Enjuku Racing ran them in Formula D. However, they've since been banned.

Is only some parts of the tire colored?

There is an Alfa 156 wagon often parked just outside my house, it has 2 "linings", app 1.5 cms each that is yellow on the tires. Are these the tires you are talking about?

Those on the Alfa, Jugend, are probably BFG Scorchers...
I haven't seen those in years
Those do leave colored lines on the street, but we are talking about non-released-to-the-public tires that burn different colors when smoked

I remember hearing in another car forum that they can be special ordered, but they are around $2000 US for a set of 4.......might be a rumor, but that price sounds realistic
